A Russian man has died after persuading a friend to bury him alive for a night, hoping it would bring him “good luck”.
The victim dug a hole in a garden in the eastern city of Blagoveshchensk and climbed into an improvised coffin, with holes for air pipes, taking a mobile phone and a bottle of water with him.
His friend covered the coffin with earth and then left, after the buried man phoned to say he was fine.
The next morning, he returned to find his friend dead, investigators said.
The 35-year-old victim had believed that burying himself alive for a night would bring him luck the rest of his life.
All the man needed to do was to ensure his phone was well charged and to have an oxygen mask that would last him for 24 hours at least
Some people in those big countries can be extremely foolish as much as taking chances with their lives. The stupid things that some of them do is shocking.
Obviously, he would die if he is locked up in a coffin and dirt placed on it. It was only a matter of an hour, if not less that he would die. Human beings need Oxygen to live. He could not survive all night under that condition. He exphixiated himself.
I suppose he thought that he was a magician and would live. Magicians who are buried alive and live have their secret means of staying alive. This is why they are called magicians.
I hope God had mercy on his soul for his ignorance and whatever other sins he committed during his life.
This man’s friend should be charged for being an accomplice to murder. It was sheer negligence and stupidity on his part to encourage his friend to do something like that. It is something which he will live with and regret until he dies.
