Pope Francis: Church can’t ‘interfere’ with gays

Pope Francis
Pope Francis

Pope Francis said the church has the right to express its opinions but not to “interfere spiritually” in the lives of gays and lesbians, expanding on explosive comments he made in July about not judging homosexuals.

In a wide-ranging interview published Thursday, the pope also said that women must play a key role in church decisions and brushed off critics who say he should be more vocal about fighting abortion and gay marriage.

Moreover, if the church fails to find a “new balance” between its spiritual and political missions, the pope warned, its moral foundation will “fall like a house of cards.”

To have a pope who softens the church’s historical stance on something as serious as homosexuality is bad news for the Catholic Church.

    (1) The true church is built upon Christ (1 Corinthians 3:11) which of course means both His Person AND His teachings. Christ never changes. (Hebrews 13:8)

    (2) The true church will uphold BOTH the words Christ spoke when He was here in the flesh AND the things His Holy Spirit moved His apostles to write in their epistles which are found in our New Testament. (2 Timothy 3:16)

    (3) The New Testament forbids and condemns homosexuality. The truth church will do the same because it must be loyal to the Word of God and never depart from it.
    (Romans 1:26-32) (1 Corinthians 6:9,10) (1 Timothy 1:9,10) (Jude vs. 7)

Genuine Christians (born again people) know they are “ambassadors for Christ”. ( 2 Corinthians 5:20) They represent their King (Jesus) and their homeland (heaven). They must speak ONLY the laws of God and tell ONLY what Christ says. An Ambassador must NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, give his own opinion unless he makes it very clear “This is only my opinion.”

    (4) There are reports that there are top ranking gay priests and other religious in the Vatican putting pressure on Francis to bring in reform. Some believe Benedict was subject to the same pressure and that is why he resigned. It raises the question “Do they know something about these men we don’t know? Could they be holding something over them?” Some are afraid Francis is being blackmailed! If enough of the voters knew he had a weak spot in his armor it would be reason enough for making him pope.

AS soon as Francis’s statement was published in the media world wide not only were millions of Catholics astonished. The church went in defence mode. Bishops, Catholic spoke persons, and writers began doing damage control. Have you heard their explanations? Again and again I have read statements that began with “What the Holy Father actually means is … ..”

No a good thing when they have a pope who is taking a different position to all the previous 2,000 “infallible” popes in – as they believe – the past 2,000 years!

Not a good thing when they have a pope they have to be apologizing for!

It is a critical time for devoted Roman Catholics. Let us pray that there will be a turning away from the deceptions of Rome and that they will begin to read their Bibles. A good place to begin would be the Gospel according to St. John and then the Epistle to the Romans.

Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill, International Evangelist.

      Sorry…

We forget that Jesus was a revolutionary. He loved everyone and showed his mercy abundantly BUT he always asked sinners to REPENT AND CHANGE from their sinful ways and to follow his footsteps.

The bible speaks of people even the ‘elect’ being deceived. Do sensible people really think that they are being deceived by Assad in Syria or Iran? These people have nothing to hide and say it as it is. We know what they are about. If it’s war, we know. Do people who call themselves christians really understand the meaning of ‘deceit’?

Then again they consciously choose what their Holy Father on Earth says over the Word of the Holy Father in Heaven missal no matter what they so… as the bible teaches.. he who has eyes let him see and he who has ears let him hear. Millions of ‘christians’ are lamp shades with no oil and will be in total darkness when the bridegroom arrives because they will not see his arrival.

Let God be the judge we have not power to judge others.

    • September 24, 2013

      de:

“…we have not power the judge others.”

When a policeman tells somebody “If you do such-and-such you will be breaking the law and could be put in jail” – is he judging? Absolutely not!

When a lawyer explains to somebody “There is a law against that. If you do it you will be committing a crime. You could be put in jail” – is he judging? Absolutely not!

Their job is to tell us what the law says and inform us of the consequences if we break that law. But it is the judge in the court who must weigh the evidence, hand down the verdict, and pass the sentence if the individual is guilty.

When a bishop, pastor, or evangelst tells us what the Bible says about certain behavior and what the punshment is if we break God’s law, are they judging? Absolutely not!

When a Christian shares this information with other people is he (or she) judging? Absolutely not!

You should understand that bishops, pastors, and evangelists are responsible to preach and teach God’s laws. Christians are also suppose to share this information with others when they can.

It is God who is the judge. In the judgment He will hand down the verdict and pass the sentence if the person is guilty.

It is not judging to tell somebody a certain act is against the law.

It is not judging to tell somebody what the law says the punishment for that act is.

It is not judging to say it is a crime to commit a robbery, a rape, a murder, or an unatural act of perversion if it is forbidden by law.

It is not judging to warn people that it is a sin to do something that God forbids – something the Bible clearly forbids. The world will be judged ACCORDING to the Word of God.

It is not judging to warn people of the consequences of violating God’s commandments. Someday every one of us will be judged by God.

Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Pentecostal Evangelist.

Oh now I see why the former Pope Benedict resigned. It is because they were putting pressure on him the say these things but he would not. Now I am reading lots of blogs where gay men are praising this pope.
The Bible say in the last days we will see signs of things like that.

According to wikipedia (online free encyclopedia) When a person is called ‘infallible’, this can mean any of the following:
Some (or all) statements or teachings made by this person can be relied on to be certainly true.
This person always makes good and moral choices, and his actions may never be considered immoral or evil.
This person is always right, and never wrong or incorrect.
However, definitions of ‘infallible’ differ widely. In common speech, ‘infallibility’ can refer to a person (or a group of persons), to an act of teaching by these persons, or to the information being taught.
Furthermore, infallibility can refer to the both ‘absence of error’ or to the ‘inability to err’. Although these definitions are similar, they are philosophically distinct; it is theoretically possible for a person to live their entire life without erring even though they had the ability (and potential) to do that. A person who never commits an immoral act or speaks a false sentence by choice would thus qualify for ‘absence of error’ without being qualified for ‘inability to err’.
Infallibility is sometimes used to refer to someone’s ability to ‘learn’ something with certainty. For example, a careful researcher might study a hundred books, each of which contains a few errors, and after carefully judging the statements in these books might deduce the complete, error-free truth. This is referred to as ‘learning infallibly’ or ‘knowing infallibly’. However, this meaning is rarely used.

The pope has never been infalible, it is when he speaks or decrees based on truth supported by holy scripture and tradition established by christ, it is infalible because it is supported by devine truth ‘ex-cathedra’. The pope is a sinner and so is the homo-sexual. Homosexuality is the sin that sin must be condemned but one cannot condemn the sinner to hell, that why he says we cannot judge the person, that is for God alone, we will always condemn sin. Remember the Thief on the cross, he made it to paradise with Jesus, what about those of us too quick to judge are we any better?

Did the pope clearly and unequivocally state that homosexuality is a sin?
NO!!!!!!! He did not. Condemning someone is one thing but stating wrong from right is something else.
I can say that I hate what you but it doesn’t mean that I dont love or care about you, right? So what is the pope’s problem?

Then only a hypocrite ca be all things to all people!

His business is to preach the word of God to the people, no matter to what denomination the person belongs! As a matter of fact in Christianity there is no such thing as religious denomination, the reason why we have so much conflict, and confusion exists in belief and the teaching and interpretation of the word of God is all due to the names of all these denominations.

The Bible plainly refers to ” the Church.” The minute they tag on names to the buildings or congregation, that was the beginning of the confusion.

Assuming there is a congregation of believers in Roseau, the Carib territory, in Marigot, Wesley or Biosh, when referring to any of the Refers to any of the congregation for any reason, it simply referred to them be their location.

There were no such names as Pentecostal, Methodist, Roman Catholic Adventist Church of God, Jehovah Witness or what have you.

Church is a body of believers in Jesus, people the worshipers of God, you can be a Christian and not enter into any building to worship, but remember God said you should assemble yourself with one another. and that can be under a tree, or in the middle of an open bit of land, that is why he said “where tow or three are gathered in my name I am in the midst of them.”

The pope is softening the church’s stance so that the church can appeal to more people. There’s one word for that: compromise.

Oh the US and European Media of all. One day you will have to answer to God for your words, your reporting and distortions which lead others astray and into disbelief of what is good and holy.
Pope Francis is a human being. He may not have faults as we in the world, some more so than others. He is correct to say he is a sinner. We do know as in Holy Scriptures, “Anyone who says he is without sin makes Our Lord Jesus Christ out to be a liar.” Also, “All have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory.”
We should never put anyone on a pedestal. Only God belongs on a pedestal. We should know that they are not perfect, though some are more perfect than others.
Pertaining to the homosexual and abortion issues do not be deceived. These are sins, abomination in the eyes of the Lord and punishable. Pope Francis is fully aware of that. We know what is contained in Holy Scriptures. The Word of the Lord does not change with the times. The Church will never change its stance on this.
What Pope Francis said, we must cease consistently dwelling on these issues and judging and condemning. Our Lord said, “I came to save the world, not to condemn it”.
Yes! God is the judge. We must welcome people in our Church. I have stated it before, those who live sinful lives cannot receive Holy Communion but they are welcomed in the Church to participate in services. They are free to attend Holy Mass or other Catholic services. Nevertheless, they cannot expect the Church to shake hands with them and say, “You are doing well. You are not sinning by being a homosexual and a lesbian.” Anyone who is of that opinion is in dire need of godly enlightenment.
That will be the day when the Church condones these abominations which highly offend God. It will not happen. God created Adam and Eve… It could only happen if the Catholic Church gets a bad pope. Then we will know that, that pope is a bad one.
There is a time and place for everything. Those who know what is in Holy Scriptures and disown what is in Holy Scripture will be answerable to God.
If homosexuals and lesbians approach Pope Francis, he reserves the right to personally and privately inform them about their lifestyle and that they should make amends with God. He will not do so openly. He does not want to drive them away from God. He wants them to repent and to save their souls. His approach is a correct one.
We must pray more and less condemnation. Does this mean when the opportunity calls for it we should not speak up or write our views? By no means!
We Christians are to pray for them and the rest of the world as we do for ourselves.
May God bring everyone to conversion. May God protect His Church and the Holy Father, Pope Francis from this type of Media adverse reporting and distortions.

  12. September 20, 2013

It is not clear yet where the Pope is going to go with this. Are we missing something? Are we reading into his words more than what he intended us to take from them?

It may be wise to wait and see what he says about this in the future before we draw any conclusions.

It is troubling to some Catholics who think Francis is softening his stance on homosexuality. It is difficult to imagine those words coming from the mouth of either John Paul or Benedict.

Catholics do not believe every utterance of the Pope is infallible. They do believe – or are required to believe – he is infallible when he speaks “from the chair”. This means when he speaks on a matter of faith or morals. This is where it gets a bit fuzzy.

What most Catholics are not aware of is that there have been times when one Pope has radically disagreed with or contradicted a previous Pepe. For example one Pope said Joan of Arc was a witch and sentenced her to be burned at the stake. Later another Pope made her a saint!

There are rumors that a strong homosexual lobby exists among the clergy high up in the Catholic Church in the Vatican. When Francis was asked about this he refused to either deny or confirm it. Some are wondering if they are putting pressure the Pope to loosen up. Are they holding something over him? Could they be blackmailing him?

What we do know is that not even the Pope can change the Word of God. Jesus said “Heaven and earth shall pass away but my words shall never pass away.” What the Holy Scriptures say about homosexuality is very clear in Romans 1:21-32, 1 Corinthians 1:9,10, 1 Timothy 1:9,10, and Jude vs. 7.

The Roman Catholic Church of today is not the church of the first century A.D. that Christ founded on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2. Through the centuries there have been doctrines and dogmas added one after another until what they have now is a patchwork like a quilt.

But since the first century there have always been congregations of Christians who have tried to follow the simplicity of the New Testament. Often they were small, struggling, and few in number. Often the light burned dim but it never went out.

I encourage people to read the New Testament beginning with the Gospel according to St. John. Find a church that preaches what you read in the Book – a church where the people love one another. When you do you will have found God’s church!

The truth does not change. What any man says one way or another does not alter the truth. You don’t have to wait to receive the next utterance or pronouncement from a revered religious leader to know what to believe. It’s all in the Bible, the Word of God! Find a humble group of Bible believers where they preach and teach it and you will find Christ in their midst.

I am very happy that the pope said that, it reminds of the scripture where Jesus said we all have sin and come short of the glory of God, and there is another scripture where he said he did not come for the righteous but for siners, another one he who has no sin cast the first stone, once a reporter ask pope Francis who are you his answer was I am a sinner, the bible said judge not for you will be judge, I belive that it is the duty of the church to accept each and every one because Jesus did not reject any one,we all are God’s children.

      • January 29, 2014

Sorry Concern, but we are not all God’s children.

The Apostle Paul wrote that Christians before their conversion to Christ were “…by nature the children of wrath , even as others.” (Ephesians 2:3)

The Bible says that Christ “…came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” (St. John 1:11,12)

Please read this verse carefully. It says those who RECEIVE Christ become the sons (children) of God. This implies those who do not receive Him are not children of God. Otherwise there would be no purpose for the verse.

Every human being is born a sinner, with a fallen nature, inherited from Adam and Eve. This is why the Apostle Paul described us as “…having no hope, and without God in the world.” (Ephesians 2:12)

The Lord Jesus told Nicodemus, a devoted rabbi and
respected teacher among the Jews, “Marvel not that I say unto thee, ye must be born again.” (St.John 3:7) In the original language of the New Testament this means “Ye must be born from above.” This meant the Nicodemus needed to receive
a new life, a spiritual life that only God could impart to him.

This life literally comes into us when we receive Jesus Christ as our Savior by believing that we are sinners and that Christ paid the penalty for our sins by His death on the cross. Please read 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Romans 1:16, St. John 3:16, and St. John:3:36.

        The Apostle John wrote:

“And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that HATH the Son HATH life; and he that hath NOT the Son of God hath NOT life.” (1 John 5:11,12)

We must receive Jesus Christ the Son of God as our personal Savior. Remember the Bible says very clearly “…he that hath NOT the Son of God hath NOT life.” (1 John 5:12)

You said Jesus did not reject anyone. But I must warn you that there is a day of judgment coming for all those who have not received Christ as their Savior. Jesus Himself spoke of it many times. He said in that day He will say to them:

“…Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.”
(St. Matthew 25:41) Then the Bible says “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:15) Only those who have been born again will have their names written in the book of life.”

Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Pentecostal Evangelist.

Rev Hill, there are many like you who love the Lord fully but are wrongly led. Very soon many of us will be called upon to choose between Jesus Christ in heaven and anti Christ on earth who is blinding the world.

      • July 20, 2015

Please show me a verse in the Bible that proves I am ”wrongly led”.

You say we must choose between Jesus Christ an the anti-Christ. You are absolutely right. But I made this choice many years ago.

I chose to receive Christ as my personal Savior according to John 1:12, 1 John 5:11,12, and Revelation 3:20, by trusting His death on the cross to put my sins away according to Romans 5:6-9. People who do this believe the scriptures and seek to please God by living by the moral code God has given us.

        Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Evangelist.

It is sickening that the Church is simply unable to say “NO” to homosexuality.

    • January 30, 2014

Any organization that cannot say “no” to homosexuality is not “the church”.

The church is a called out company of people washed in the blood of the Lamb. They are those who have trusted Christ and Christ alone for their salvation because they know it is “…by grace that ye a saved through faith; and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God: Not of works lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8,9)

Those who are truly part of the real church have Christ living in their hearts. They hate sin but they love sinners. They would never say homosexuality is an acceptable lifestyle. But they believe God will forgive and deliver homosexuals who receive Christ because they know former homosexuals had been wonderfully changed by the grace of God in the first century A.D. and became members in the church of that day. Please read 1 Corinthians 6:9-11.

The true church is the Body of Christ. It includes all who have trusted the Lord Jesus and received Him as their Savior since the day of Pentecost (Acts 2) in the first century A.D.

Those of this called out company who have overcome the world and are living lives of holiness before the Father will be the pure bride of Christ when He appears. But there is going to be another entity on earth after the bride has been taken. It is here now and is recognized by some but not all because it has not yet become all it will be. Read about it in Revelation 17:1-5 and Revelation 18:1-5. This will be a super church. It will be the counterfeit bride!. For a short time it will be supported by the anti-christ and his one world kingdom. It will embrace the “new age movement” all that God hates! People will marvel at how broad minded and accepting it will be. “Love and judge not” will be its perpetual chant to seduce the poor souls who did not know their Bibles and have missed the rapture. It will incorporate every type of devil music, dance, and occult practices, witchcraft, nudity, and every form of perversion. Indeed the Bible says it will be “… the habitation of of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.” (Revelation 18:2)

In the world church the crosses will be removed, the blood of Christ will not be mentioned, sin will be a forgotten word, and repentance will be a lost concept. Unity at all costs will be the binding policy, and the great “religions” of the world will be consider one in full communion with this church for all people.

Not all who claim or profess now to be “the church” are part of that elect company. Jesus said we would know them by their fruits. But I can report to you that the risen Christ has not Himself without witnesses. At times the lamp burns low but it will not go out :!:

I for one (of many) have dedicated my life to contend for the faith that was once for all time delivered unto the saints. (Jude vs.1-7) As long as God gives me the life and the health to do so I will continue to tell the greatest story ever told which is John 3:16, expose the religious lies, and uncompromisingly condemn the sins of this generation.

      Praise the Lord!

Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Pentecostal Evangelist.

The true church that was birthed by the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost – Acts 2 – in century 1 A.D. is against the things God is against which includes homosexuality according to Romans 1:26,27 and 1 Corinthians 6:9.10

It is not an organization. It is a living organism. It is the Body of Christ. It will be the Bride of Christ.

This church – the church – includes all those who have received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior by trusting His shed blood and death on the cross alone to put their sins away and give them salvation!

Please examine Romans 5:6-8, John 1:12, John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8,9, 1 John 5:11,12, along with
      Revelation 3:20.

The Bible says ”To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word there is no light in them.” (Isaiah 8:20)

Judge not least ye be judged. Those are not my words but the word of God. The Pope as head of The Catholic Church is recognising everyone as children of God. He is a true Christian who is reaching out to ALL God’s children. I am a very proud practising Catholic. Very happy with my faith. Before some of you start, I’m not gay! Nor do I judge gay people. The world is big enough for all of us. God bless our Pope!!!

    • September 20, 2013

Cyrique, true the bible say do not judge because judgment is reserved for God. Nevertheless, saying no to sin is not judging it is correcting. People use the phrase “don’t judge” too loosely. There is a fine line between judging and correcting and no one wants to be corrected so they use the “don’t judge” defense to continue in their way of life.

If I am to be my brother’s keeper I should be able to maintain a balance between love and correction. I must have some liberty to say, hey, bro you are going the wrong way, this way leads to hell. Turn around before it is too late. That is not judging. If, however, I tell one that he/she is going to burn in hell when he/she dies, then I will have judged him because it is not my place to decide one’s final destination. But I can certainly pull you out of the fire, while you are still in the land of the living.

I’d rather be slapped into heaven than to be pampered into hell.

Everyone is a creature of God – because He created all things, but I do not agree with you that everyone is a child of God because it is written, those who believe and receive the Lord Jesus Christ are given the power to become sons of God (John 1:12). Further, 1 John 3:10 makes a clear distinction between the “children of God and the children of the devil”. None of us would like to think of ourselves as a child of the devil, but whoever we serve will be our master- If one chooses not to serve the Lord, by default, he/she serves the devil. “Whoever you obey, is your master and your daddy. You can’t call God Daddy, while obeying satan.

      Be blessed

Yes, you claimed that your first idea is of the Word of God, I agree with you. But where did you get your second idea from–I guess that it is another doctrine of the Catholic Church–because as in the beginning we don’t find that statement in the Bible.

Otherwise God did not know what He was saying to the rebellious angel, known as Lucifer, when He told him: “I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.” Genesis 3: 15 And God id perfect, isn’t He?

That statement above, alone should tell you that Satan has his own children in this world, that is the reason for the disharmony and unrest among us human beings–Jesus tells us we are like the weed and the wheat or the goat and the sheep–at His appointed time there is going to be that separation and after that the judgment–read it at Matthew 13 and 25, and then you decide who is telling the truth. You have “free will” to do this

Jesus also said to the unbelieving Jess through a conversation, here it is: Then they said to Him, “We were not born of fornication; we have one Father—God.”

Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me—- But you are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of Lies. Read all of it at John Chapter 8

The Pope recognizes as people as God’s children, you say! Well Jesus did not claim the Pharisees and the Sadducees to be children of God did He?

That is the reason He said to us through the man Nicodemus: “That which is born of flesh is flesh and that which is born of Spirit is Spirit. Most assuredly I say to you, you must be born again of Water and the Spirit” Read this at John Chapter 3

It is true that God loves all people for through the Son, He gave His Life for the world. Nonetheless we are not His child, unless by faith we have accepted the washing of our perishing body by the blood of Jesus Christ, and we know the awakening of our dead or sleeping soul, by the indwelling of Holy Spirit. Blessings!

“Today Pope Francis says that he is a “sinner” thus my question is how does that reconcile with the infallibility of the pope” Muslim_Always September 19, 2013

    @Muslim Always

I was raised in the Catholic Church, but today I know that it was God’s Will that I be removed from that fallible concept of the teachings of that Church–because of His plan to do His work of Salvation through me. Today I am quite aware that most people who claim to be Christians are miserably flawed through their nature of ignorance–because of the false doctrines of many churches–not only the Roman Catholic Church.

I mean how can the Pope who is known as the Holy Father by his followers–they also claim that he represents the Almighty God, to them, and here we have the Pope claiming that he is a “sinner”

How can a man be called Holy, being God’s representative on earth declare that he is sinner. Does that mean the Pope has not yet read the message at Romans 6? So I will leave it below this response for all of you who are interested–read on.

    .

    • Francis Chicago
      September 19, 2013

      Amen.

    • September 19, 2013

Okay, DNO I assume that my response with the writings of Romans 6 was too much for you to print out–I really thought so myself–so no hard feelings here. But can I try again with this shorter one?

First of all I suggest that all of us here, who claim to have accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior or Redeemer, let it be known that we cannot stand before a God of Spirit in Love, Truth and Righteousness, if we continue to claim the “sinner” and “not perfect” nature.

We must understand that it is that shamefulness, nakedness, and perishing nature which separates us from our Holy God, in the first place–the Blood of Jesus Christ was shed so that we might become clean again–reconciled to God because of His grace of mercy and compassion.

I am suggesting that you read the Book of Romans at Chapter 6–there the apostle Paul teaches us the difference between being alive to God and dead to sin–we cannot be both at the same time.

Here is one those verses among the others from verse 1- 20 at Romans 6: It is all about who we are in this world–and in God’s Book we are either saints or sinners. Here is part of this truth from the apostle Paul, who was guided to teach us about God in Jesus Christ, by the Power of Holy Spirit.

5 For if we have been united together in the “Likeness” of His death, certainly we also shall be in the “Likeness” of His resurrection.

6 Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the BODY OF SIN might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin—-

10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.

11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

And so I ask the question: How can the Pope who is referred to by his followers as the “Holy Father” declare to these same followers that he is a sinner?

If the blood of Jesus Christ had no effect on the human self of the Pope–does that not mean he is dead in the Spirit and have no hope of Eternal Life in Paradise with Jesus?

How can the Pope whom his followers claim to represent God in this world, declare himself to be a sinner, when the Word of God says that a man of God has died to the flesh–where sin is conceived and produced?

Does the Pope not understand that he was called to walk in the Spirit, to walk in Love, as he remains the Light of God that shines to the world?

God is all about perfection in Spirit, Love, Truth and Holiness–what is the Pope saying to his followers as a man of God–when he claims to be a sinner? Good Heavens!

What else is to expected of one who renounced her Catholic Faith? You will never comprehend because you eyes and mind are veiled through your own fault. Every moment you get you are at it at the throat of the Catholic Church, the Pope, Bishops, Priests and the laity. You think you know everything? You might as well do something else with your God-given allotted time. God is taking note of your hatred toward the Church you were baptized in. Therefore, you do not warrant a response and explanation except as the saying which is entitled: “Wise and Otherwise`:

I do not seek to understand that I may believe, but I believe in order to understand. For this I believe–that unless I believe, I should not understand.

The author of the book, The Song of Bernadette, Frank Werfel said:

For those who believe no explanation is necessary.
For those who do not believe, no explanation is possible.

Pope Urban VIII stated: “It is better to believe than not to believe, for if you believe and it is proven true, you will be happy that you believe.

When you die you will see the truth of what you deny. May it not be too late for you to believe.

They can rant, rave, criticize and condemn but they cannot change the plan of God for His Church and for eternity, what He has ordained. On that inevitable day, they will find out.

Lizavier4Jesus don’t be ignorant …YES the Pope is a sinner…Your Pastor is a sinner…You are a sinner and yes so am I. We live our lives trying our best to break from sin and serve our God with the humility and love he so rightfully deserves. It’s remembering just that which enables us to fight sin and try to live a minute of the life that Jesus did. It is not an easy task to follow Jesus’s path and you know it. It is a fight…it is a sacrifice and I’m sure the Pope is doing his best but you can’t knock him for making that acknowledgement because he is correct we are all sinners BUT it doesn’t mean that he is not fit to be Pope…remember TAKE IT TO THE LORD IN PRAYER! Francis Chicago September 20, 2013

Yes I did, but these people are walking dead, without the guidance, teachings, wisdom and understanding of Holy Spirit–especially that woman of Toronto who identifies herself as Truth and Justice.

Those people do not have the Holy Spirit the exist as the “natural man” with a mind shape that continues in its carnal condition–and yet the apostle Paul teaches us: that the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. Romans 8: 7-8

Again Paul said: The natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one 1st Corinthians 2: 114-15

So how can those people who dwell in the flesh–a natural man with a carnal mind, receive what a person of the Spirit is saying? If only they would remain silent and to allow those who have ears to listen to what the Spirit is saying.

    • September 20, 2013

for the little that I know, we are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God, indeed we are not perfect, we are called to be perfect.
it is in this light that the Pope is talking.

  17. September 19, 2013

Let me soften the blow here: ALL unrighteousness is sin. That includes lying, stealing, fornication, adultery, homosexuality etc.

I don’t think church interfere with gays. It is more like gays interfere with the church when they try to have the church ACCEPT their way of life.

While God loves all people, He does not accept all behavior. Anyone representing God ought to speak in line with God’s righteousness. For example one person asked the pope if he approves homosexuality. His response:

“I replied with another question,” he said. “`Tell me, when God looks at a gay person, does he endorse the existence of this person with love, or reject and condemn this person?’ We must always consider the person. Here we enter into the mystery of the human being.”

He is right, God does NOT CONDEMN anyone. In fact, Jesus said He did not come to condemn but to save (John 3:17). Nevertheless, the pope did not answer the question. The question was not whether God love the person but it was a question of approving HOMOSEXUALITY. All the pope had to say is God loves all people, but He does not approve sin.

Further it is sad that people hail a mere mortal as God to even ask the question if he approves anything moral or immoral. Only God’s approval count, not man. That is why EVERY one MUST seek God and His righteousness for himself. The only mediator between God and man is the Lord Jesus Christ.

He never established religion on earth. A relationship with Christ will steer you into the right lifestyle. There is no hate in God, but sin will separate all man from Him.

Telemaque, do not be quick in your condemnation and judgment. The Pope makes a statement and the US Media as CNN and the European Media distort it to their liking. They give people the impression that the Pope is for sin, is not against it and is encouraging it. They are so wrong. Those of us who know better and who are enlightened are not deceived by this Media.
Therefore, take it from me a Catholic Christian. Do not condemn the Pope because this is not what he meant. I inform others to pray to God for enlightenment. You do likewise.
God detests sin. Sin is punishable. The Church does not condone sin. It does not condone homosexuality; so-called same sex marriage or abortion. If it did, it would not be a Church.

You are correct that the practice of homosexuality is a sin; so does fornication, adultery, molestation and incest. When last have you hated someone or condemned yourself for your sexual sins? Or is it your belief that heterosexual do not or incapable of sexual sins? Do you believe that a young man who says he has homosexual tendencies is heading straight to hell whiles you with you numerous partners will receive a golden card to the pearly kingdom? We speak of Christianity yet follow not the one for whom and because of whom Christianity is possible: Christ- who loved everyone; the whores, thief, murderer and fornicators. If we are to be follower or imitators of Christ shouldn’t we do like Him and love the sinners hate the sin?
      Be Blessed.

  19. September 19, 2013

“The people of God want pastors,” Francis continued, “not clergy acting like bureaucrats or government officials–News article

And what is the work of “pastors” as far as the Word of God is concerned, may I ask? But I don’t want an answer; I already know what the answer is–for I believe that Pastors are called to do the work of “evangelism” which is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ as they shepherd the “Sheep” who are God’s chosen people in this world.

It is true that the people of this world–whether they are of the flock of Jesus Christ or they are the goats of this world–they still have their ability of “free will” Jesus is not holding a gun at their head to force them to follow Him. That is the reason when many of His disciples decided not to follow Him, because they said that His teachings was too hard to understand and acceot, He asked the twelve if they wanted to stop following Him as well.

And so, when Peter again, stood up and said to Jesus: “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Before this response to Jesus from Peter, He had already told those unbelieving Jews: “It is the Spirit who gives Life, the flesh profits nothing! The words which I speak to you are Spirit and they are Life”.

And so I agree with the Pope–not to interfere personally or physically, with the attitude and conducts of homosexuals, as long as they remain in the privacy of their home–this has to be so for the sanity of the public.

Nonetheless if the Pope claims to be the Shepherd the Sheep, who ought to be the people of God, he should also know the wisdom of God through His prophet Isaiah, where He said: “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all”.

If the Pope is aware that the Sheep of God are likely to go astray and to have their own way–which would be against the laws of God, what is the reason he will not speak the concrete truth–whether people want to take heed or not.

And that truth is: All human beings were born with a sinful nature with a carnal mind which can only respond to and reproduce the fruit of the flesh–the seeds which are sown its ground by the human senses.

That is the reason for the attitude and conducts of people like homosexuals–Jesus said to His disciples, if a man was born a “Eunuch” he will naturally live a celibate Life. And so if two men are in a sexual relationship with each those men have chosen their own way, they are not Eunuchs.

Fortunately for us, human beings, there is healing for us by the blood of Jesus Christ, for Isaiah said again: By His stripes we are healed.

And so what is the hypocrisy of the Pope about not judging gays–no one is judging them they have already judged themselves. As he said in his message, the people want “pastors” who should be preach the message of Life by the Power of Holy Spirit in them, and through the Word of God in the Holy Bible, why don’t he encourage those pastors to preach the message of Salvation, because it is the message of Life from God Almighty through His Son, who is His Person of Love–the name is Jesus Christ.

    • September 19, 2013

Life in Jesus Christ, which is known as Salvation, must be revealed in all its form of perfection and wholeness–the state by which our God of Spirit, in Love, Truth, and Holiness, will be satisfied with us as we stand before Him, reconciled to Life in Him by His Primary nature, which is Love.

And so the apostle Paul teaches us: “Do not be conformed to the things of the world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may know what is the good, and acceptable will of God”.

Really and truly can any person in their right state of mind, consider sexual relationship between two men a good, acceptable and perfect will of God? Think about it.

It seem as if you are the one who is eating your heart out. I have noticed and mentioned it in the past, your emotions of hate, pomposity and jealousy are showing through those images that you post with your comment. None of these belong to the God of Love

By the Power of Holy Spirit and in the name of Jesus Christ, I am telling you that you know nothing about God, how can you know His Love, which is the attitude and conducts of Jesus Christ.

He has told us to show the ways of Love to those around us–that is the way we put on display His Life in us, which is the Light of our awakened soul.

But how can you? When you exist with a dead soul, and a carnal mind? And that truth about you is quite obvious to me, you will notice that I ignore your comments against me most of the time, because I know you do not know what you are saying. I pity you!

      September 20, 2013

“What is the hypocrisy of the Pope about not judging gays–no one is judging them”. Which world do you live in? My dear Elizabeth, people judge gays everyday, and that is a fact. If we see a gay person pass, we always make a comment or we say HMM……

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of Jehovah God.

1John1:8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

Many of us think that because we become Christians, we are better than anyone else, especially someone that lives recklessly. Jehovah is the only judge, and only He can and will judge us.

You are a Christian, yet you are saying that gays already judge themselves. They live a lifestyle that they believe in, by going against the instructions God’s word. Leviticus 18:22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination. We know it is wrong, but it is up to Our Father in heaven to judge them, and punish them.

We should also not forget that we commit sin sometimes, even when we do not see it as sin. Let us pray for those who need our prayers without criticizing them, and always remember that Jehovah God, hates the sin, but He loves the sinner, and we should do the same. Grace mercy and the peace of Christ be with all.

If a man was born a “Eunuch” he will naturally live a celibate Life. It would be good of you to give us more about “Eunuchs”, because many people might chose to ignore the phrase. It is obvious you know a lot about the Bible so you can tell us more about why the pope is hypocrite, is he does not judge gays, after all he is not the Creator of this world, so why should he judge gays.

      • September 20, 2013

        @Setup September 20, 2013

Except that you left the part of my message which said “they have judged their selves”. It must be that you do not understand that what people say about you is not what matters–it is who you present yourself to be in society that matters.

Men who conduct sexual relationship with each other, they know that it is unnatural, it is abnormal, it is a shameful abomination in the sight of our Holy God–just like all other sins are shameful, evil and wicked in His presence.

When people continue to do the things which they know is not acceptable to the God of Holiness they automatically judge themselves–this means that people reap the fruits of the seed they sow–gay people will know that fruit at God’s appointed time.

Yes U can tell you more about Eunuchs as they are spoken about in the Bible, but I do not have that kind of space on DNO as a blogger.

All I can ask you to believe is that those men lives a celibate Life–for whatever the reason they live that way. Blessings

A man of God is one who speaks the truth even if it costs him his life. A man of God is one who speaks from the word of God without compromising and without saying less or more than what God reveals. A man of God is one whose words sets others free – not one who tightens the chains that keep them bounded for years. Only the truth sets people free and the truth is all unrighteousness is sin.

If someone comes to me and ask me if I approve homosexuality, as a man of God I would say “it is written…. The same goes for all other sins such as fornication, adultery, lying, stealing etc.

No compromising the word just to be liked by others.

      • September 20, 2013

        Tasiee Bat YHWH:

I want to thank you for your brief comments.

There are pastors today who are compromising with
sin in their pews rather than offend people. Some are more interested in increasing their membership and expanding their base of support than in pushing back the frontiers of darkness and extending the kingdom of God. Some of these pastor mega-churches. The world along with carnal Christians who can’t discern their left hand from their right consider them very successful.

There are evangelists who preach the new “feel good” pop psychology “gospel” who avoid exposing the popular sins of the day to please their partners and keep the money coming in. They don’t even preach the new birth and they certainly don’t preach holiness. Some of them have built big T.V. ministries by tickling people’s ears.

At one time when the Pope spoke kings trembled. The Roman Catholic Church – wrong as it is in many respects – had clout and was often the power behind the thrones of the earth. But the Catholic Church has lost the influence it once had. It is a known fact that an astonishing percentage of their priests are gay. Many of their priests-in-training in the seminaries are gay. Added to this is the fact that the church now has a shortage of priests. If the Pope were to purge the church of its gay priests and bar other gay men from the priesthood it would create a crisis. Rumor has it that there is a gay lobby among the priests high up in the church in the Vatican pressing for reform. When Francis was asked about this he neither confirmed nor denied it. All these things together are reason enough for the Pope to gradually soften the Catholic position on gays.

The church Christ founded is not an organization nor an institution. It is a spiritual body, the Body of Christ, comprised of all true (saved by grace) believers in Jesus Christ. He said “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” (St. Matthew 18:20) Where you find two or three believers in Christ gathered in His name you have found His church!

The Bible says “…we are ambassadors for Christ,…” (2 Corinthians 5:20) An ambassador must NOT give his own opinion unless he is very careful to explain that “This is only my opinion.” He represents his head of State – king, queen, president or prime minister. He must say ONLY what his government says. As Christians we MUST answer “Thus saith the Lord…” (from the Bible alone) to every question and inquiry.

Be faithful to the One who chose you to be His Ambassador! Don’t be for sale! Don’t compromise. Always tell the world what your King says. It will never change so you don’t have to wait to hear the current utterance or pronouncement from some revered but apostate religious higher up.

Be determined to be true regardless of what others do even if it means you are the last man or woman standing!

I invite you to read my article “Things that Cannot be Shaken” on website http://www.livinghopeministries.ca Click onto ARTICLES then click onto “Things that Cannot be Shaken”.

If you reside elsewhere, also make an appointment to see the priest. The Church has an RCIA program – of Catholic initiation which prospects will attend.
As a priest said in his Homily, “The Catholic Church does not force anyone to become a Catholic.” They do so out of their free will.
It is said, God gave us a free mind. He will not touch it. He allows us to make up our mind, to love him… This is how good He is to us.
Many people world-wide are converting to the Catholic Faith. It is the Holy Spirit working in His Church, in you and in others, preparing you for Heaven. Your words are not stated without reason or to no avail. It was granted to you by the Holy Spirit. He inspired you. Follow through on your thoughts.
May God assist you and bless you!

I’ve read the entire article on CNN and watched the video. Could a Catholic kindly enlighten me, when I was a Catholic I learnt about the infallibility of the pope; today Pope Francis says that he is a “sinner” thus my question is how does that reconcile with the infallibility of the pope? I look forward to an urgent reply.

      Just Google it nuh.

According to Catholic teaching the pope is infallible ONLY in matters concerning faith and morals.

That doesn’t mean the pope is sinless or whatever the pope says is infallible. So the pope can say the moon is made of green cheese but doesn’t mean that this is infallible or true.

Only when the pope does certain teachings, he can invoke his infallibility status.

That status has been used only once in the history of the catholic church.

      Hope you are satisfy.

Muslim, I too was brought up a catholic but never accepted the infallibility of the pope and I’m glad to hear the message that he is only human after all and fallible like the rest of mankind. This does not stop me from being a catholic, on the contrary it reinforces my hope that the church comes out of its ivory tower and concentrates less on dogma and more on concrete issues that concern us in our daily life.

In matters of “solely the Faith”, the Pope is infallible. Some people do not know that or do not know the difference.
Every one of us are sinners in some way. Some sin physically, others through their mouths, gossip, hating people, disliking people, loving others and material possessions more than God. Anyone, anything that we love more than God is a sin.
I cannot figure out how the Holy Father could sin. He is a great Pope.
Look at it this way. Someone may annoy him and he may get angry, even it is not outwardly but inwardly. Who knows? He may be impatient. This is how I view him. He is human. He may not sin as some people of the world. He is humble to say that he is a sinner. In effect, it is correct. I reiterate that his sin may be venial sins which are not grievous/mortal sins.
Remember Our Lord was impatient with the Pharisees. This does not mean he sinned. They wanted him to perform a miracle. He replied: “No miracle will be given to you except the miracle of Jonah.” Jonah was in the whale’s belly for three days because he was disobedient to God.
At another time, he left them and went away. He said, “A king is not a king in his own country.” He also admonished them.
No one on earth should say that he/she is without sin, be it a venial sin. A mortal sin is greater than a venial sin. If we disobey The Ten Commandments of God we commit a grievous/mortal sin. This sin could cause us to lose Heaven.
I attend Church and it does not concentrate solely on Dogma. We were taught about the Dogma of the Catholic Church. Therefore, it is not necessary for us to hear about it over and over again. There are times for certain reasons it will be explained.
We must obey the Dogmas/Doctrines of the Catholic Church for it is “the religious teaching of the Church”, the latter as St. Paul said. Disobedience is a sin.
I would not take what Pope Francis said about he being a sinner seriously. Some people make a mountain out of a molehill. I know he is a holy man, a staunch Catholic, a great devotee of The Mother of God, Our Lady and a loving and generous man who loves the poor. If I were to face him and ask him, I would say, “Oh holy Father, in what way do you sin?” I am certain his sin is not great.
You must know your faith and read about it. This means cultivating your faith and growing in faith. This is how we progress in faith and knowledge of same. Hope this satisfies you. Prayers will assist you. May God assist you accordingly.

      Muslim Always:

      Actually, this is good advice.

To “convert” to the Catholic Church because she likes the current Pope would be absolutely brainless. He is not always going to be Pope. There have been some very bad Popes. Only God knows what the next one will be like – or how this present one will turn out. (Shudder)

The doctrines (or beliefs) of a religion are everything. People join so called “churches” for the craziest of reasons. One woman said she decided to attend a particular church because she had a heart condition and found it difficult to climb stairs. The church had everything on the ground level.

Many go to a church because they like the music and singing. Couples with families often look for a church that has a good Sunday School and youth group. It’s a plus if the church has a “youth pastor” on staff.

The friendliness of the people is often the main reason why people will choose a particular church. Initially it may be something else that draws them in. But within four months if people are not speaking to them and if they have not made a few personal friends they are gone.

I have personally known people who attended a church for years but when asked had no knowledge of what the church actually believed. All they know was what they heard preached. Sad to say in some churches this doesn’t amount to much. But if it is interesting with a bit of good humor sprinkled in they are O.K. with it.

How is somebody to evaluate the beliefs of a particular church? Even if they find out what the doctrines of the church are how can they know if they are true?

To begin their faith journey they have to have encounter the risen Christ. They must has a personal relationship with Him. This is the Bible calls this being “born again” in St. John 3:3.

They must believe the good news that Christ died for their sins to pay penalty for their sins in full and God showed that He accepted that payment by raising Jesus Christ from the dead as the scriptures declare in Romans 5:6,8, 1 Corinthians 15:3,4, and Romans 10:9. Then they must receive Him as their personal Savior according to St. John 1:11,12, and Revelation 3:20.

Once they have this relationship with Christ they should seriously study the Bible. Then and only then they will have the knowledge by which to test and try the beliefs of any church they may visit. When they find a church that believes and preaches the truth of the Word of God – a congregation that is loyal to the Scriptures – they are Home!

Yes, it will teach the Trinity, the Atonement, the Divinity of Christ, and the (dependability of) the Bible. These are the great fundamental and cardinal truths of the Christian Faith. These things together and collectively are the FOUNDATION of True Christianity. But unless the individual has seen these things in the scriptures he or she will have no way of testing what the church says – no way of knowing if what the church says is true.

That is why we are encouraging people to study the Bible beginning with the simple basic truths. A good way to start is to visit our website:
