The Queen, who rallied support for the monarchy despite presiding over what was once known as the world’s most famous dysfunctional family, next month becomes the country’s longest-reigning monarch.
She never expected to take the throne and only did so because her uncle abdicated, but on Sept. 9 she will beat the record held by her great-great-grandmother, Queen Victoria, who reigned for more than 63 years.
“It is a job for life,” the 89-year-old Elizabeth once said, and unlike some European monarchs recently, and even a pope, she is not expected to abdicate.
While the world and British society have changed dramatically during her reign, the queen has always appeared dependable and reassuring. Despite traumas in the 1990s, such as the death of Princess Diana, that seemed to threaten the monarchy’s very existence, the queen has been able to lead the thousand-year-old institution into a new era of popularity.

You should do some thinking. Many countries have seceded from Great Britain. Those governments wanted to be rulers, to be their own boss. To this day, none of these countries are better off. Is this not something?
I think if they were under British rule, there would not be all this discrimination, ethnic cleansing, uprising, murders, wars and lack of peace. The world is worst than it ever was under British rule.

Consider when Princess Diana died. If you listened to and read the News especially from the UK, US and Canada, she has survived it all and still looks good. She has handled herself very well through all this. She is a lady to be admired and for her general strength.
I also liked her mother, Queen Elizabeth I. She was a pleasant lady. When I had just arrived in Toronto, she visited Canada. The News relayed that she would be passing along the street where I worked. A few of us went outside of the building. As she passed by in the limousine, smilingly, we waved to her. She waved back, smilingly. It was a happy moment. I am sure if she could have stopped to talk to us, she would. God bless her soul.
Queen Elizabeth II still looks elegant for an 89 year old. Seniors of today should emulate her. She is obviously eating nutritiously. It does not have to be expensive. One can still be frugal and eat nutritiously.

I love royalty because they are royalty. I saw her and her husband a few times when they visited Canada. I also saw Prince Charles on one of his visits.
The Queen has come a long way. She is not as haughty as in those days. She has changed somewhat due to her grand children (Princess Diana’s children). Of course, she must have realized that we are residing in a different era.
I recall when Michelle Obama visited the UK, the Queen for the first time. Michelle placed her hand around the Queen’s waist and the Queen did likewise. This was something to see. The Media had a field day about that.

There is a link between Prince Charles, Lady Diana and me as well. They were married the same my son was born–1981 and she was buried on my birthday–September 06.

They called me Elizabeth, because I was born the same month the Queen was crowned–just 3 days before that crowning, on September 06. I am proud to be called Elizabeth, even if I like my friends to call me Liz.
I am looking at that photo and all I see is Royalty; just look at the way she is dressed–that is I what I call phenomenal; a woman of great prestige. Long live the Queen we love our queen here in England, she and her family bring in tremendous revenue to the country and over 80% of the population are in full support of her. She cost just as much as the U.S. President and brings in much more money to the country than he does to the U.S.

For what? Are you aware how much poverty there is in England? It is not the fault of others except the fault “of some” who failed to contribute to their country and to its revenue. However, the behavior of some of our rulers, their decisions, and the laws they hand down, have made it difficult for some of us to show them the respect we would like to show. There is a day coming when the secrets of their hearts will be manifested, and deeds long hidden will be made known. In God’s own time you will see a great dismantling take place!

Just keep in mind that the Queen does not even know that you exist, much less to be expecting your worship to her.
But God knows of your existence, He knows where and from whom that mentality which you presented above, came from–which certainly was not from Him. And if you were worshiping Him, you would not have that mentality, in the first place–just think about that!
I second the motion. We must realise that these people are not concerned an iota about us. They have pillaged and reaped, and continue to reap the natural resources of Africa just to live their grand and famous lifestyles. Without Africa’s wealth, they would not be the rich so-called monarchy that they are.
