Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang have sent congratulatory letters to President Charles Savarin and Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit respectively, on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Commonwealth of Dominica.

Both men called for deepening the ‘pragmatic cooperation’ in all fields to achieve much more development and bring benefits to both countries and peoples.

Next year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Dominica and China.

Does anybody knows what China sees in Dominica? Only a new ruling party with a different mindset about China will stop a China purchase of that tiny Island where the people don’t care.

We are simply moving from one communist country to another.
    Venezuela
    China
    Cuba
    Libya
    Columbia
These are the countries that Skeritt aligning himself with, but always remember everything that he gets from these countries, comes with a price.

If you do not cease complaining, criticizing and get cracking and do something worthwhile for your country and get others to do likewise, this is exactly what you will get in the long run.

Who cares about Tiananmen Square massacre? Who cares if Bo Xilai is in prison? Hey who cares about human rights record? Who cares if we have 80 chinese stores in Dominica putting Dominicans out of business?
Hey we love Xi Zhongxun, and as long as u fellas can continue to conquer our nation economically, we are willing to give up our country even if we make a mockery of celebrating independence when we are not independent at all. Carrying on our chinese masters, not our fault we BLACK!

You sound very ignorant, you do realise that China is one of the biggest world powers, and an alliance with such would prove greatly profitable for such a small nation, or do you just use your butt to think and not your brain?
