Dominica and Russia celebrate 20 years of diplomatic relations

The Commonwealth of Dominica established diplomatic relations with the Russian Federation on May 19, 1995. Dominica therefore became one of the first Western Countries to recognize Russian Sovereignty following the collapse of the Soviet Union.

May 2015 therefore, marks twenty (20) years since establishment of these relations, and the governments of both countries have much to cherish.

During Dominica’s 35th Anniversary of Independence Celebrations, in November 2013, His Excellency Vladimir Polenov non-resident Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Commonwealth of Dominica, joined in the celebrations.

In exchange of congratulatory messages, Minister for Foreign Affairs and CARICOM Affairs, Honourable Francine Baron expressed the hope “that by commemorating this 20th year of relations, both sides will be inspired to examine new ways to deepen the relationship between our two nations and explore more creative ways to forge ahead with functional cooperation in fields such as science, engineering, investment and people to people exchanges”.

In similar manner, Russian Foreign Minister Honourable Sergey Lavrov conveyed the conviction that Russia-Dominica relations “will also further strengthen within the bilateral as well as multilateral formats in favour of the peoples of our friendly countries, in the interest of ensuring peace and international security”.

The Government and People of the Commonwealth of Dominica reaffirm their commitment to continued collaboration with the Russian Federation, and to develop initiatives related to the common aspirations of our peoples, confident that 2015 opens up a new era for Dominica-Russia strategic partnership.

Mr Telemaque all we were taught in school is how to read the bible and quote every body’s history, and learn to be proffesional beggers. We as a people should speak one language how do we feed our selves without help. Governments should let us fall flat on our faces and wake up on our own. All we do as black people is talk and create nothing. One side is blue and one side is red. How many dominicans do you know hiring 100 people. Most of the money we earn go back to the man. The only people who fight snd won’t freedom to give all their money to some one else is us. Take a look at the caribean after the British left every thing you have the european union or the chinese did it for you. All u our leaders were taught to be proffesional beggers. Linton will be no different. Help me raise money to buy a fishing trawler to supply fish to the whole caribean at a cheaper, stop being blue and red dining for your supper

Russian history, 1892–1917 (Before The Soviet Union was formed):
The Russian Revolution of 1905 was said to be a major factor to the February Revolutions of 1917. The events of Bloody Sunday triggered a line of protests. A council of workers called the St. Petersburg Soviet was created in all this chaos, and the beginning of a communist political protest had begun.[2]

World War I prompted a Russian outcry directed at Tsar Nicholas II. It was another major factor contributing to the retaliation of the Russian Communists against their royal opponents. After the entry of the Ottoman Empire on the side of the Central Powers in October 1914, Russia was deprived of a major trade route through Ottoman Empire, which followed with a minor economic crisis, in which Russia became incapable of providing munitions to their army in the years leading to 1917. However, the problems were merely administrative, and not industrial as Germany was producing great amounts of munitions whilst…

And so I refer you to wikipedia: where you can read plenty and educate yourself on the about Russia, and the Russian Revolution. I can also refer you to Barns & Noble where you can chose different books that will educate you on the subject.

Therefore, you will learn that Russia existed prior to the Soviet Union, and was recognized by every world power in the Western Hemisphere, long before Skerrit, me, and all of Dominica was conceived in our mothers act of love! Nevertheless, as everything else Skerrit has to first in everything, so he and his poppet’s are talking crap, as if Russia is a newly independent nation, and he was first to recognize Russia.

We re first; first in what? Russia created the Soviet Union by holding its neighbors hostage, and forced them into communism. I am not ashamed to name my source in this circumstance, you see!

“Soviet was created in all this chaos, and the beginning of a communist political protest had begun.[2]”

You See Mr/Miss point, there are ways one can let the reader know that what they are saying came from a source other than their own: in the quote above I particularly left this: [2] now if you are educated to a certain level as soon as you saw that you would have realized I quoted someone, other than myself. Assuming someone wrote something for the first time lets say like this ‘him him’ in quotation but not ” ” that means the person is the originator of the text or sentence.

I do not cheat nor do I plagiarise (British English spelling); American Spelling “plagiarize” as the little teacher girl Elizabeth, and Facts, the Phantom said.

      Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!

“Dominica therefore became one of the first Western Countries to recognize Russian Sovereignty following the collapse of the Soviet Union.”

Now an uninformed, uneducated person reading that crap may believe that! Russia existed before the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union came about after Russia annexed, and forced all of the nations around Russia into communism after World War ll. Russia was always a sovereign country, recognized by the every nation in the Western Hemisphere, for as long as Spain, France, and England fought their war’s to capture and own Dominica!

We should not distort Dominica’s history, never mind tampering with world history by lying to impress people who do not know! If anybody want to argue that with me, I can take them back to the era of the “Zazers” there might be an error in spelling

The lie hatched in Dominica making it appear as if Russia broke away from the Soviet Union is nothing more than a lie! There was an sovereign Russia prior to the formation of the now defunct Soviet Union

” Russia existed before the Soviet Union.”

Let me correct that before I get slaughtered by the young girl teacher; you that twelve year old!

The impression is that the Soviet Union existed before Russia. I had that on the opposite. By now it is clear, and certain that Russia existed long before the invaded, and annexed the nations which once made up the Soviet Union. Corrected I hope!

The statement essentially offers that only after the Soviet Union was dismantled did Dominica establish diplomatic relations with Russia, and in so doing, became the first Western country to do so.
