Jamaica Supreme Court to examine constitutionality of buggery law; Christians protest

gay men holding handsThe Supreme Court in Jamaica is to hear an application challenging the constitutionality of the buggery law on that island’s books.

The claim was filed by United States-based advocacy group AIDS-Free World on behalf of Javed Jaghai, a Jamaiacan.

According to media reports, “the group is asking the court to determine if the anti-sodomy law breaches rights guaranteed under the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms, which was passed into law in 2011.”

Jamaica is notorious for its violent crimes against gay and lesbian community members and Jamaica is often said to be the most homophobic nation in the world.

The action by the supreme court is not going down well with Christians on the island which held protests in the two major cities, Kingston and Montego Bay on the weekend.

“God says homosexuality and lesbianism are unlawful and unnatural, and no Government has the authority to rebel against God by making lawful what He says is unlawful,” the Jamaica Observer quoted pastor Leslie Buckland as saying at the Kingston meeting.

“Pray as a church and as individuals for the prime minister and her Government that they will not legalise homosexuality, for this will be a great disrespect to God and will make the behaviour of our fellow Jamaicans worse than it is now,” he told the crowd who had traveled to many different parts of Jamaica to attend the protest.

In Montego Bay, the mood was the same.

“…We are saying that those who are saying that there is need for the repeal of this law… we want them to know that it is because they are not standing on the premise of the word of God,” Rev Glendon Powell, chairman of the St James Ministers’ Fraternal, said according to the Jamaica Observer. “Again, I want to say that as a nation it is God and God alone. Righteousness exalteth a nation, but sin is a reproach. We are going to pray to save this nation.”

However, not all religious leaders are taking the path of open street protests against homosexuality. Catholic priest, Father Franklyn Jackson, has urged Christians to focus on serious crimes, not on anti-gay protests.

“Sins that are committed, the Church should make a pastoral response,” he told the Jamaica Gleaner. “I would not support any demonstration against [any sin]; what I would ask the Church is to see people in communities that have problems of whatever kind and be there to minister to them and show them the way of God.”

He said there is a disconnect between the church and what is happening on the ground in Jamaica.

The island has had a reputation of crime and murder for many years, with its capital, Kingston, being one of the most dangerous places.  Even before the recent rise in murder rates, Jamaica held the record for the highest in the world.

Last week various religious leaders at a street meeting in Dominica vowed that they will be protesting moves by minority group MiriDom, which said it will be approaching government to have the laws against buggery scrapped from the law books of the island.

Pastor Randy Rodney told the meeting that Dominicans will be informed “when we decide in a massive way to let Dominica know we are not going down that road.”

Prime minister, Roosevelt Skerrit, has said the laws will remain on the book for foreseeable future.

Actually, animals display homosexual behavior too. At least 1500 different species, including all the great apes, of which Humans are a part of, have some type of same sex relations. It’s perfectly natural. If you believe it’s icky that men engage in sex acts together, then that is fine. But look at it this way rasta: Many people think its icky that you smoke ganja and grow dreads. Don’t you wish that they would stop fining you for half a spliff and shaving your heads in jail?

      • June 30, 2013

Some animal eat their young. Does this make it normal for humans? So what is your point?

Sexual desire among animals seems be a matter of instint based on scent and body chemisty. They are known to experience mental diseases and psychological abnormalities. It should not be surprising if an animal becomes confused and copulates with one of its own gender.

Animals do not experience love and romance as we humans do. In the wild most seem to have multible partners in a lifetime. If animals can be homosexual (as evidence shows they can) it has nothing to do with love, and romance. They are being driven by a misdirected animal desire coming from a confused state. The same thing happens among human beings. But among animals it is of no consequnce. There is no concept of sexual right or wrong – no morality – in the animal kingdom.

It is different with human beings and it MUST be different. Even if you don’t believe in God and the Bible you would probably rather live in a house than in a barn and you likely prefer a civilized society to the jungle! You realize there must be this thing call “morality” however you define it. You understand that love, commitment, marriage, and families, the long term nurture, care, and discipine of children, the enjoyment of grandchildren, are all things that we humans have that separate us from the lower species.

Rather than arguing that there is homosexuality among animals to prove that it is “normal” you should understand that this proves it is NOT normal! When it comes to sex some things in the animal kingdom do not apply!

Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Pentecostal Evangelist.

If Jamaican Court rules that anti-buggery laws are unoonstitutional, then lookour fo the other islands in the Caribbean. Our laws are basically the same. Remember it was the Jamiacan Courts ruling that paved the way for a lenghty court battle here regarding dual citizenship? may God forgive all of us. My chirch is saying that as abominable as buggery and homosexuality may be immorally it is not a greater sin as Adultery, fornication, etc. that is had from a human and secular point of view, but the spiritual dimension of this argument is sound in scripture. ALL SIN IS SIN. We must all pray to God for forgiveness of all our sins.

It is sad to see the anti-buggery law being challenged in Jamaica. The court is being asked to decide if it a statement in the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms can be interpreted to mean two men have the “right” to commit burgery. If the court rules that the anti-buggery law is unconstitutional it will decriminalize homosexual practices.

God has delegated to civil authorities the responsibility to rule over us according to Romans 13:1-4. There is no present day theocracy but Mattthew 6:10 tell us to pray “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.” Christians want civil authorities to rule in a righteous manner by passing laws that are in accord with the will of God as He has revealled it in the New Testament.

We have separation of state and church in your country and mine. The church cannot dictate to the state and the state cannot interfere with the church. But it should be understood that for two thousand years the church through its leaders – bishops and pastors – has respectfully advised Kings and Queens, Presidents and Prime Ministers, Judges and Officers of the Courts by explaining how the scriptures apply in given situations. Christians are tax payers. They vote. At a time like this if they desire to hold an ordrerly demonstration they should be heard.

God has forbidden homosexuality and this makes it a sin according to the New Testament scriptures in Romans 1:21-32, 1 Corinthians 6:9,10, 1

    • June 25, 2013

      Rev. Donald Hill (continued)

1 Timothy 1:9,10, and Jude vs. 7. With an understanding of these scriptures the church has taught for two thousand years that homosexuality is a sin and forbidden same sex relationships.

For hundreds of years nations with a Christian heritage have had laws that forbid homosexual practices and same sex marriage has been unheard of.

Apart from God and the Bible – apart from religion – Homosexuality is wrong because it is an unhealthy lifestyle. Homosexuals have more mental health issues, a high rate of alcoholism, and a higher suicide rate than hetrosexuals. I am quoting Dr. Albert Ellis, Ph.D. from his introduction to the book THE LESBIAN IN AMERICA by Donald Webster Cory. “Thus, an objective study of full-fledged lesbians (as well as fixed male homosexuals) would show that many or most of them are not merely neurotic, but actually borderline or outright psychotics.”

Civil authorities and judges should realize that decriminalization is the first step towards legalization. If the anti-buggery law is struck down homosexuals will push for same sex marriage. Then other “minority” groups or special interest groups will be lobbying to have their particular relationships legalized and called “marriages”. Already in some countries that have legalized same sex marriage there are those who are asking to have poygamy legalized. And what about adult-miner marriages? Parent-adult child marriages? Brother-sister marriages? The same equalty arguments that are being used for same sex marriage can be applied to any or all of these other arrangements!

One homosexuality it decriminalized and same sex marriage is legalized it creates a whole new problem in the schools. Here in Ontario, Canada schools are being forced to have students “clubs” to promote an “awareness” of homosexuality. It is being taught in the classrooms as a alternative lifestyle. One eight year old came home last week and told his parents “Today I learned all about being gay. The teacher told us HOW TO COME OUT.” The week before his fourteen year old sister reported that she had learned in health class how homosexuals DO IT and how lesbians DO IT. I personally know this family and have talked to the children.

In God’s name and for the sake of Jamaica’s future I beg the judges and polititians of your great nation to do the right thing. Refused to be bullied by the USA or the UK. Don’t be intimidated by their threats to finance gay lobby groups in your country or to withold legitimate financial assistance.

Demonstrate about what? Wouldn’t it be more valuable to hold discussions with the law-makers and leaders of civil society? The issuue confronting Christians is not only the likelihood of buggery becoming decriminalized; it is also a need to educate those charged with administering the society we live in.

      • July 1, 2013

What do you have to discuss with your lawmakers except to say “Let the laws of our land reflect the will of God as He has revealled it in the Bible and don’t allow the president (or prime minister) of a foreign nation to tell you how to rule your country.

The only education you need to give those who administer the society you live in is to teach them to enforce the laws of your nation.

Any help, aid, or assistance the USA or UK give to any Caribbean country should be charitable and unconditional. It should not be used as a bribe to get that nation to drop, alter, or change any of its laws, especially if they are dealing with an independent sovereign nation. More so, it should not be a loan that will bring that nation into debt, bind it, and make it beholden to them.

The threat made against the anti-gay nations in the Caribbean by Obama to finance homosexual lobby groups in their countries along with the outlandish threat to cut off aid to anti-gay nations (which amounts to bribery) by Cameron is unprecedented in history. It should be raising red flags and setting off alarm bells all over the place. A strange twist has taken place in the minds of these men. They are dangerous.

Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Pentecostal Evangelist.

Says Who? Should I allow my young son to grow and develop in a society that tolerate open expression of homosexuality? Give me a break. Christ did not visit violence on any homsexual, but he preached repentance – meaning to turn away from anything that will not please God. Soon you will quote me a passage from the King James version sanctioning individual morality values and then justify your reason to start your church.

Well said Observer: When it comes to morality everybody has beliefs even if those beliefs are crazy wrong.

On one hand there are those who hold the historical and traditional beliefs that have been handed down. These people believe homosexuality is wrong, and marriage is one man and one woman united to the exculusion of all others, hopefully for life. They believe sex between two people who are not married to each other is a sin the Bible calls “fornication”.

On the other hand there are those who believe marriage can be two men with each other or two women with each other. Then there are those who don’t condone same sex marriage but they think sex between a man and woman who are not married to each other is O.K. In this second group there are people with different beliefs. There are those who draw a line at some point and there are others who think anything goes as long as you don’t get hurt or hurt anybody else.

The first group are unified. They hold pretty much the same standards. This is because they have a foundation. Their morality is based upon the Word of God. Thy believe the teachings of the Bible. Some may hold the historical and traditional beliefs because it’s what was handed down to them from the previous generation without really knowing firsthand where the teachings originated. They followed them because they saw they worked.

But they do have a foundation. The historic and traditional morality is the New Testament with the teachings of Christ and His apostles. It is what the Christian church has held for 2,000 years. It is the morality upheld by those nations wth a Christian heritage for hundreds of years.

The second group with all their diversity have no terms of reference. If they acknowledge rules at all they think they can make their own as they go along. Some will say there are boundaries over which they will not cross but the only reason they can give is that it just doesn’t seem right. Others say if it feels good do it!

Observer, some people have already left the main stream of Bible believing Christianity and started churches of their own to accomodate and spread their “new morality” which in fact is the old immorality: churches that allow unmarried couples to live together; churches that celebrate same sex marriages.

Unfortunately, the one thing this second group cannot do is show us that us that the lawless road they travel leads to an abundant life. They are in the midst of an AIDS epidemic, an increase of mental illness, higher than average rates of alcoholism, and drug addiction, and an above average suicide rate.

People think because we’re in the 21 century the Bible is outdates and sin is in style. My answer is: THERE IS NOTHING MODERN ABOUT SIN! IT IS AS OLD AS THE GARDEN OF EDEN! “…we, according to his promise, look for a new heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.” (2 Peter 3:13)

I invite you to visit my website http://www.livinghopeministries.ca and go to ARTICLES. Read my article “Things that Cannot be Shaken”.

    • August 25, 2013

Why do some people want to impose their immorality upon other people when it does hurt innocent people?

A married man with a son and a daughter decides he is “gay” and leaves his family. Who gets hurt?
A wife is shattered. A little boy and girl are heart broken.

A married woman with a two little girls announces that she is a lesbian and goes to live with another woman. Who is hurt? Her husband – a successful minister – is completely broken. His
precious daughters are devastated. One of them asked, “Daddy, doesn’t mommey love us any more?”

The homosexual lifestyle is not working as is evident by the above average rate of mental health issues, alcoholism, a shorter life span, and suicides. These things don’t only affect the
the homosexuals. Also affected is society in general which often pays for the costs of health care.

No knowledgeable person is going to deny that the “gay” lifestyle has contributed much (perhaps the most) to the spread of AIDS. In some countries male homosexuals are the one single group with the highest AIDS rate.

I will spare the gentle readers of DNO the details but I have looked at a medical report of the physical damage done and the infections spread by anal intercourse among male homosexuals. The pathology is serious and wide spread. This alone tells us that the sexual relationship is meant for a penis and a vagina not a penis and a rectum!

Private health indurance plans or government health insurance plans may pick up some of the cost caused by the unwise sexual practices. It’s a burden the public should not have to bear.

Those who feel the need to defend homosexuality don’t have anything left on the shelf when it comes to arguments for making case.

When I see government after government decriminalizing homosexuality and legaling same sex marriages I remember a saying:

“Those who don’t know history are doomed to repeat its mistakes.”

In my country (Canada) many years ago our govenments legalized the manufacturing and sale of cigarettes and other tobacco products. It was “cool” to smoke! Even the doctors and nurses smoked. I remember our family doctor lighting up in our home when I was a kid. Who was against smoking? It was the evangelical Christians! Who dared to speak out and warn people against the mighty weed? Not the doctors with all their education. It was the pastors. Especially the Pentecostal pastors. Oh, how they irked people! They didn’t have any science to used against smoking in those days. They just stood there and said silly things like “If God wanted you to smoke He would have made you with a smoke stack on your heads.”

But that was before the studies were done and the statistics were published. Now we know that smoking causes lung cancer and other types of cancer. It causes heart disease and many other health problems. If you see a doctor for a medical examine he will ask you if you smoke. If you try to buy life or health insurance the agent will want to know if you smoke. Science tells us that 50% of those who smoke cigartettes will die from a smoking related disease. It is happening across Canada.

Our governments in Canada – federal and provincial – are trying to get people to stop smoking. Laws have been passed limiting how cigarettes can be advertised and where people are allowed to smoke. Provinces are spending huge amounts of tax payers money to warn people of the dangers of smoking.

But these are the governments that licenced the manufacture and sale of cigarettes. I remember this when I hear of nations decriminalizing homosexuality and legalizing same sex marriages. When militant homosexual organization push your government for their “rights” they tell you of all the nations that have already accepted homosexuality.

How stupid, stupid, stupid, governments can be!

Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Pentecostal Evangelist.

    • July 8, 2015

Then let me help you understand it.

Our morality is the moral code God has given human kind in the New Testament.

      Basically it is found in Romans 1:26,27, 1 Corinthians 6:9,10, 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, Galatians 5:19-21, 1 Timothy 1:9,10, Jude vs.7.

We cannot “impose” God’s moral code upon anybody. The governments of some nations have wisely passed laws against some of the most serious of these offences. One of these is homosexuality because (a) it is unnatural according to Romans 1:26,27 and (b) it is an assault against God’s model for marriage according to Matthew 19:34-6, both of which make it an assault against God the Creator.

This moral code in the New Testament was given for all people, and we will all be judged by it. As Christians we find it works for us and our families. We have also seen disobedience brings consequences, so we recommend it for a good life.

Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Evangelist. :-D

We note what is occurring in the world. They are spreading their abomination throughout the world even approaching West Indian governments. How bold are they? How bold is Satan? Bold enough as you are noticing.
Does this group care about Jamaicans? They have a sinful agenda to pursue and this is what they are doing to force the Jamaican government to legislate this abomination. Group, get lost as we say to Satan, get lost; get behind me Satan!
This US group should stay out of Jamaica’s national and government internal business. When they want recognition, this is what they do. They go to supposedly a group which they think has power to effect such changes. This group is an outsider. Their aim is to get every country to legislate this abomination as if it is such a good thing which will benefit nationals and the country. No way I say!
The song by Mighty Sparrow (?) about the Referendum is crossing my mind. Just imagine! :)
“Jamaica why you run and put up referendum?” Well, Jamaica, this is one time you should really run, run, run, for your life and that of your nationals. Say no to legislation of this abomination.
Jamaica has its internal problems as crimes, etc. This is what the Jamaican government should direct its energy to; not wasting precious time to debate and legislate this abomination which will further bring it down (as some other countries) to the brink of perdition.
Jamaica government! Stay out of this and do not be coerced by their godlessness, of this abomination and succumb to them. They are already going down slippery slopes. Do not allow them to take you, your nationals and your country down this dangerous, wide path which leads to Satan’s cauldron of everlasting fire. You have a soul to save, yours and that of your nationals.
The thought is crossing my mind. Here is what the Mother of God, the Ever Blessed Virgin Mary said to a visionary; always a message for us all: “The road to Hell is broad. They will run on it and run fast…”
I would fear the wrath of God as He did to Sodom and Gomorrah on all governments (and countries)who legislate this abomination, those politicians who initiated it in Houses of Parliaments, those who practice it, encourage it, condone it and applaud it. As God looks on and takes note, woe to all of them!
If this is legislated in Jamaica I foresee a lot more trouble. Jamaicans or some of them will still not be complacent about it. The government would be wise to seriously consider it and brace itself for “mucho” problems.
West Indian governments of all, for the love of God, your souls, for your nationals and country, never, ever legislate this abomination. I say this in Jesus Name and for the love of Our Lord Jesus Christ!

All the pastors who are hypocrites will suffer the consequences of their sins, likewise myself.
But the Holy Bible still stands. Sin is sin, and it will be Judged by God in the long run, man with man, and woman with woman, is disgusting, gross, and is too, too over sinful. The act of two men and two women having sex.

Do we know, how sweet and natural God has made the male and female sex organs to fit and work well in harmony. I am a woman with wonderful children, and I love when I feel and have a male penis right in its perfect place in me. The Lord said, what he have mad is wonderful. I don’t hate nobody, but a man and a man going in the unnatural ways for sex, it is not healthy at all.

If the whole world is doing illegal drugs, do I have to join? If they jump in the ocean, do I have to jump. Please, we don’t have to follow the crowd if we know right from wrong.

I visited Dominica last month, I was there for 10 days, drove around the entire island. I paid with cash and credit, spent over $1,000 in food, gas, gifts and lodging. In some places homosexuality has been decriminalized. But this is an example of how unreasonable the change is. It was not because of any new knowledge. It was political and driven by lobby groups who created an equality and discrimination doctrine.

The Bible forbids homosexuality making it a sin according to Romans 1:26,27, and 1 Corinthians 6:9,10.

The Christian Church for 2,000 has taught that homosexuality is a sin.

Nations with a Christian heritage for hundreds of years have had laws prohibiting homosexuality.

Homosexuality is an unhealthy lifestyle. Homosexuals suffer more from depression. They have a higher rate of alcoholism. In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

It seems to me that majority of the people in the western world have lost faith in “religion.” The first reason is, Catholic Church has lost its moral grip on the world; too many priests were involved in the pedophilia scandal. Secondly, protestantism has lost its way because too many pastors have been involved in adultery, hoarding of wealth, self righteousness and hypocrisy – the failure to effectively deal with evil in their respective societies. Thus, for secularists and other homosexual supporters sees religion as a joke. It is not my intent to bash Christianity in anyway but when you speak to people who advocate for homosexuality, simply look through their lenses.

Secondly, Christianity is and will lose the battle on homosexuality. The majority of people in the west really do not believe in the Bible. Many go to church out of habit but many do not read or analyze the very book they claim to believe in. Christians need to understand that the world has moved on – the reformation has taken place in Europe years ago where Christianity was crushed as a state, Christianity has become a mere business right now. Their bible thumping approach will not work – again look at the trend in America and France, look at the pattern, they are repeating the same error as done in these countries.

Thirdly, the issue of homosexuality needs to be addressed in a comprehensive manner. Once needs to look at the scientific, moral/ethical, economic, theological as a supporting evidence regarding homosexuality.

Fourthly, homosexual lobbyists will get their way in the Caribbean. They will assess which Caribbean country is the weakest or rather passive on the issue. I heard that Barbados and St. Lucia are countries that are liberal on this issue. Martinique and Guadeloupe have already allow for homosexual marriages. When England has fully sign on perhaps Montserrat and other British Colonies will adopt these laws thus will weaken the Caribbean position thus cause this division in the Caribbean.

Lastly, my assessment is homosexuality has been existing for 500 years in the west behind the closet, they are pushing for their rights to be publicly gay and ultimately to get married and adopt our children. It is inevitable and the people of Dominica and the Caribbean have no choice but to prepare for the bitter reality. The solution to this is for people to open their minds regarding the issue, one doesn’t have to agree with the practice of homosexuality but to cope with it. It may not happen now but there will come a time when Dominicans will see two men or two women walking hands in gloves kissing and displaying public affection. We must remember when certain R rated movies were only played late nights, now they are played in broad daylight – so too will homosexuality be flaunted in broad daylight.

      Muslim Always

I share your views and concerns. Thanks…..I however notice in your article you mention catholic and how hypocrite they are…but no mention of Islam or the religion your represent. As an institution do some of their religious leaders have also committed crimes against humanity. What about forced marriages, what about 12 yrs. old, 15 yr. old given to men for marriage, this is an insult. What about young girls should NOT be in School….What is wrong with you people doing what you all wish with the quoran\////Should women be allowed to have 2, 3 4 husbands just like your faith allows men to do. Is their equality and fairness according to the Quran practiced and observed and respected by your followers. Be careful you pointing fingers at other religions and yours is also guilty of inhumane behaviour and spread fear among your own followers..

      Blessings

Forced marriages… female circumcision… honor killings… suicide bombings… 9-11… soldiers raping and slaughtering women in the streets and in their homes in front of their children… women not allowed to leave their home and walk to the store unless they are accompanied by a male family member… girls kept out of school and not allowed to train for a profession… Muslims at war with other Muslims… There is not much here to commend Islam! By the way, it seems Muslim Always has chosen not to live in a Muslim country.

Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Pentecostal Evangelist.

it seems to me that all the protestant pastors are missing the point and refuse to understand, like many people have said the bible spoke of many sins and but it is funny that that the pastors and their followers have unfortunately only herd of the homo one,i have always asked, what is criminal in 2 adult men having sex with each (What i know is that it is a sin according to the Bible but not a crime to society). the second questions to the pastors and their followers, if 2 men travelling in a car one is a homo and the other an adulterer, the car gets into an accident and the 2 me dies, which one will go heaven and which will go hell?

    • Justice and Truth
      June 24, 2013

What do you mean it is not a crime to society? What offends God must offend society and vice versa. If it does not offend society, then something is wrong with society. If so, then society does not deserve to live any more on this earth.
It is God’s world. He created it. He set His Ten Commandments. He gave us the Holy Bible for our godly instructions and direction, that we may live a holy life and eventually obtain eternal salvation.
You are not on the side of God and on the side of righteousness. There is something downright wrong with two people of the same sex having a relationship and wanting to get married and expect the entire world to be pleased and applaud them. The more I think of it and write against it, the more it makes me angry and feel disgusted that some members of humanity as yourself, cannot see that it is an intrinsic evil and should be prohibited. Such people are morally and spiritually sick. Are you a walking blind and deaf? It appears so.

I think that the same laws mentioned earlier should also apply to that of “TIL DEATH DO US PART” in marriage. Divorce is NEVER mentioned during the VOWS, yet divorce is going on full force. I do not agree with the gay and lesbian community because this is an individual choice; however, to ask that this lifestyle become legal is INSULTING to the PENIS and the VAGINA. These are the tools that should be utilized in any SEXUAL ACTIVITY.

    • Justice and Truth
      June 24, 2013

The same laws cannot apply to this abomination. Furthermore, there are conditions for getting a divorce, even in the eyes of God as St. Paul wrote about in Holy Scripture. If for other reason they get a divorce and marry, then God will judge them. It is not for the Court and nationals to judge them for they do not know the circumstances under which some people get married. God knows. You do not know. I do not know. We should not stand in judgment over them. Leave it up to God to judge. I bet you are in no position to judge them.
The issue here is about homosexuality and lesbianism which is a downright disgrace to humanity. Stick with the issue and address it.

I hope you are not a Christian and a practicing one. For you, no matter what, must stand up against this abomination which highly offends God and also contaminates the minds and life of little children. Some of those people could have been married and have children and later turned to this type of lifestyle.
If you have godly common sense this should not have to be explained to you. It is not minding their business. We are not going into their homes and into their bedrooms. What they do behind closed doors, God will judge them; not society. However, the fact that they brought their evil practice into the public arena and want us to approve of it, they have made it our business. They are the ones who are at fault, as they want governments to legalize their sinfulness. It is sad that they do not see their actions as being offensive to God, to nationals and to the world in general. They are a walking eternal dead.
It is standing up for the truth and denouncing what which is evil and serves society no useful purpose. It is our business because it affects our country/environment and its people. Homosexual and lesbian practice is abnormal and is a grievous/mortal sin which obviously highly offend Our Lord.
If you are a Christian and you fail to do so, you highly offend Our Lord. Keep in mind, when you die you cannot take money and worldly possessions with you. What you have done spiritually and non-spiritually is what you will take with you when you face God for your final judgment. As Our Lord said to an African visionary which is a message for us all, “When He returns, ensure that you (we) are on his right hand side.” You should know what that means, “or else…”

  19. June 24, 2013

I believe it is time to take a stand. We love people but hate the gay lifestyle. I said before that sin is sin regardless of the form. Enough is enough. lets concentrate on loving people and to hate the things that is against godliness.

    • Justice and Truth
      June 24, 2013

We who oppose it are obligated to take a stand. God expects it. He has mandated it that we should not sit back and see this intrinsic evil unfold and legislated before our eyes. If we take a stand and as this world is governed by Satan and his corteges for now anyway until God puts a hand, and it is legislated, God will not punish us. He will see that we tried.
Those who sit back and say that it is not our business and they say nothing while this evil flourishes, the day will come when they will find out the error of their way.
I rather stand up for Our Lord Jesus Christ, for the little ones and with those who oppose this highly offensive evil. We can see that we are on the side of God, not his enemy and the enemy of our souls, the cunning one who is prompting those people in their abomination which, I reiterate highly offend Our God.

So much has been said on this issue of late. Suffice to say that discrimination of any kind is a scourge on civil society. We must learn to live and let live. The old adage, “Do unto other as you’d have them do unto you,” should be the single, most important guidepost lighting our paths as we endeavor to build a more just world.

    • Justice and Truth
      June 24, 2013

Oh no! Not this one! We must, must, must, stand up and denounce it. It is an evil practice headed by Satan and his corteges. In the end, it will not even benefit them eternally. They must be told.
Do not use Our Lord Jesus Christ’s words and teachings in this type of discussion. Our Lord Jesus Christ does not condone this type of evil which offends him. When are you going to learn this and that this type of behavior is against the law of nature and the Law of God?
We will build a just world when evil especially this type of evil is eradicated from the face of the earth. They are not even just to us. They are not fair to us. They expect us to raise a flag for them and applaud them. Wake up you sleeper!

This is my beef with those hypocritical evangelicals in Dominica. Buggery is a BIG sin for them, but Pastors womanising their parishoiners is i’ight. There was no demonstration when a big time Portsmouth Pastor did his piece. Similarly, there was not even talk of demonstration when a big time Roseau Pastor messed with a married female in the congregation. Embezzelment, I am told, is common in the church treasury but this sin is too small to demonstrate against. So when a man messes with another man, we plan demonstration and committ them to burning hell. When a Pastor interferes with a female in his congregation, the Pastor is shielded by those who idolize him and he continues preaching. And he has the guts to talk about demonstration.

This is one action I am totally against, it is harassing and persecuting other people and as in your case. It is wrong that they do this to you. It is also against the Law. The police should intervene and lay charges or warn them if they do not cease, charges will be laid. I hope no harm comes to you.
Please folks, if you reside in the same area as he does, leave him alone. It is not for you to take matters into your hand and harm him. If he goes about his business, he should be left alone. He is a human being, a Dominican as yourselves and has a right to walk the streets. Do not bother him and do not encourage others to bother him.
What you would not do to an animal, do not do it to a human being. He deserves this respect as a human being and a fellow Dominican. OK!
I will further state, no matter how much some of us are against this type of behavior and it offends Our Lord, He does not want us to harm them.
What I would do if I know a person is involved in such a lifestyle, I would just pass the person by without a word. If I know the person, I would probably only greet the person. If the person speaks to me respectfully, I will respond in likewise manner. This is what Our Lord wants us to do. This is what He means: “Treat others as we expect them to treat us.”
You should go to church and pray to God to deliver you from this type of lifestyle. You could change but only with the divine help of God. The appropriate authorities could help you but not without the help of God who can permanently heal you. You are in need of God’s healing power.
We must not sit back and say this lifestyle is OK. It is not OK. Pray for yourself. Your mother should also pray for you. May God bless you and heal you!

There is a reason and an explanation. If you know about typing, typewritten material and are a typist you should know. Note the difference between lower case letters – small ones and upper case letters – capital ones. Which would you prefer reading?

    • Justice and Truth
      June 25, 2013

I am tempted to say, do they not read and do they not learn a lesson? Those who learned to type, who took typing lessons, specifically prior to Internet and computer know that the only time to write in caps is really at the beginning of a sentence, unless we want to place emphasis on our comments. However, one to or three words may be acceptable but an entire writing? This is a No! No!
Never have I recalled that a letter was typed in capital letters. It would be inappropriate to do so.
Internet etiquette states, “If we write in capital letters, we are shouting.” It is ill-mannered to do so.
Capital letters done manually by hand writing, is called “block letters”, that I know about from previous years. Think of that when we type in capital letters, we should call it “blocking the writing.” No one wants to read a document in capitals or block letters. Reading it could be a real pain in the neck, frustrating and making it difficult for the reader to read. Such documents are usually ignored and cast aside. No joking!
