Libyan aircraft crashes after troops refuse bombing orders

Gadhafi

Tobruk, Libya (CNN) — Even as Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi called on the military to crack down on anti-government protesters, reports came in Wednesday that a military aircraft had crashed because the crew refused to carry out bombing orders.

An opposition figure told CNN the pilot had been ordered to bomb oil fields southwest of Benghazi but refused and instead ejected from the plane.

The Libyan newspaper Quryna reported that two people were on board, and that both — the pilot and co-pilot — parachuted out, allowing the plane to crash into an uninhabited area west of Ajdabiya, 160 kilometers (100 miles) southwest of Benghazi. The newspaper cited military sources.

All over the world INJUSTICES are being denounced by the people. Just as in Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen, Morocco, Algeria, Libya, and other countries, the Tsunami of protests for democratic rule, Free and Fair elections, illegal, corrupt practices, quick enrichment by a FEW in PUBLIC Office, will sweep away all dictators and those who are attempting to rule the people through dictatorial policies. Dominicans, now more than ever, be on your P’s and Q’s. Never again SLAVERY. No to dictatorial rule.

What is happening in those countries should be important LESSONS for us all Dominicans. We would only have ourselves to blame if we Dominicans allow undemocratic rule, disrespect for the Constitution and Laws and corruption to take ROOT in our peaceful Land. The trends are disturbing and frightening. Do we love our children? Would we want them and the next Generation to be muzzled, cannot express their views against Bad governance or wrongdoings by those in Public Office? Would you be glad and rejoice if your child or children have to be charged, harassed, killed for peacefully assembling to express their views, or just raising concerns for a better life in the future? TIME WILL TELL.

i ready for the day when dominicans will put race, religon, skin color, party colour and wealth aside and assemble in the streets of roseau to fight for our rights as people to have our voice heard but first we have to realise that we are the government and not those little men (ministers) we hire to represent the country i have yet to hear skerrit condemn the violence of the unarmed lybian protesters who oppose gadafi’s rule. instead he calls for public to give ideas about the budget. i think he just affraid the same thing happen here and he gets over thrown.

I dont see how the Libyan situation can be compared to Dominica. They are at extreme ends of the pole.
When last has Libya had the democratic type general elections? When last has Dominica had one?
All the evil things some are saying against Skerrit, has he ever raised a hand against any of them? Has he ever closed down any anti government media house? Has he ever threatened anyone with reprisal?
You give him hate, he gives you love in return. Who do you think the people will trust you or him?

      @ Mouth of the south

You are advocating trouble and violence. Rise up for what? What do Dominicans as yourself have to rise up about? Oh please! Do not compare Dominica to Libya and vice versa. Dominicans have been far better and happier than the Libyans. What is occurring in the Middle East is the result of decades of oppression. Figure that out.
My heart goes out to those nationals in the Middle East. I hope that when all this subsides they will have a democratic government. May God assist them.
Let me inform you of a secret which I realized probably through Divine inspiration. Those countries which do not consist of majority of Christians have never been peaceful. Have you noted that their governments are dictatorship ones?
Our Lord Jesus Christ, The Divine Mercy said: “Unless mankind turns to My Merciful Heart there will be no peace.”
Therefore, if you are a Christian keep this in mind. Christians are obligated and expected to be loving and peaceful people and to promote peace just as Our Lord Jesus taught us. Also, according to St. Paul’s writings and the teachings of The Church.
      God’s peace be to you.
