Director and Events Promoter of Mirrar Entertainment Miguel Labadie, has promised patrons a double treat this Father’s day weekend at the Classics Volume 4 featuring Jamaican Reggae Artist Lovindeer at the Harlem Plaza.

The concert’s concept is to highlight artists who have been around for a number of years, considered to be of legendary status and can provide entertainment for mature audiences.

“So this year’s concert will be headlined by Lovindeer an artist who has been there  for four decades in the business and who’s known for hits like ‘One Day Christian’ and ‘Wild Gilbert’ which is one of the biggest singles in the history of popular Jamaican music,” Labadie said in an interview with DNO. “So Lovindeer promises to deliver his catalogue of those great hits” he assured potential patrons of the show.

Also on stage will be two of Dominica’s old school dance hall artists, Daddy Cecile who is well known for his ‘Protect the Sisserou’ music video a few decades ago, along with Mickey Moreau. They will be backed by the Fanatik Band. The man at the DJ console will be Mr. Mix and the Master of Ceremony, Val Cuffy.

Labadie said Lovindeer’s music is well known and liked and “It’s an opportunity for the patrons to be entertained to the great old music that they know and grow up to…Lovindeer will actually be celebrating his birthday with us …it will be a double treat for everybody”, he stated.

Lloyd Lovindeer is a Jamaican dancehall deejay from the 1980s who started his career in music as a member of the dancehall band ‘The Fabulous Flames’ and holds the record for the island’s biggest selling single of more than 50,000 copies.

Previous Mirrar organized shows featured Eric Donaldson, Barrington Levy and Judy Boucher who performed on the eve of Mother’s Day.

I hope that of you fathers who attend this event will have a good time–just taking the day off from all of those fatherly duties of the year.

To those of you fathers, who will not attend that event, for whatever the reason, I wish you all a Happy Fathers’ Day; I am sure it will better still, if you have planned to spend the Day with your children young and old.

Remember that God is about family and the physical family cannot be, without a loving father with the mother. For God is Love and all of us who love, is born of God and know God. Blessings!
