Minister of Agriculture in motor vehicle accident

The vehicle that was being driven by Walters

Dominica News Online has received information that Minster of Agriculture Matthew Walters was involved in a motor vehicle accident this morning.

The accident occurred near Borne around 8:00 a.m.

His wife and child, Marah Matthew (former Ms. Dominica 2008) were also aboard the vehicle.

Reports are that the Minister, who was driving, swerved to avoid another vehicle and ran off the road. They were spared being dragged down a treacherous precipice when they hit a mile marker.

Walters, who is also Member of Parliament for Paix Bouche, and his family were not injured.

DNO is following the story and will bring more information as soon it becomes available.

Very relieved to hear that no one was injured.

To all drivers in Dominica: Drive with due care, remember yours’ is not the only car on the road. Think of others. Dominican roads are not racing circuits.

It hurts to see how some of our people have become, so insensitive and void of human emotions. In a time of potential tragedy, people choose to spew their hatred and political venom. I remember the times when neighbors who had not spoken for years could still find it within them in times of trouble to put bad blood aside and help each other. Never thought i would live to see the day when we would let politics harden our hearts towards a fellow dominican.

Anyways thank god that Mr. Walter and his family were able to come out of this unscathed. Never cease to offer your prayers and thanksgiving to the most high.

Well thank God no one was injured.Once you are driving on the road, then anything is likely to happen at any given time.
Having said that, I really did not know is this man that is minister of agriculture. I THOUGHT it was still Ambrose yes ! But he is not working man? I cant say when last I heard this minister said something about agriculture. What I do hear though, is the pm covering up for all the ministries.
