The annual donation is meant to assist the caregivers meet the dietary needs of their dependents through locally grown, fresh and nutritious ground provisions, vegetables, fruits and meats.

It is also a time to bring cheer to the residents who enjoy these foods, while mitigating the costs of purchasing these commodities by the organisations.

Very happy these people got something for their christmas but must the Minister use even such an occasion for blatant electioneering….it is hard to believe he has only red shirts in his wardrobe , but maybe he was trying to emulate father christmas?
Take heed mr. Walter of what your namesake, the apostle Matthew said in his gospel (6.2):
“Therefore when you do merciful deeds, don’t sound a trumpet before yourself as the hypocrites do…..”

The Ministry of Agriculture and the Division of Agriculture makes these donations annually. The Minister and his Ministry are just sharing Christmas joy and love to the less fortunate.

They only saying what they did and it was made possible by the hard work and effort of the Dominican Farming Community ( Farmers, Manufactures) and the committed employees of the Ministry of Agriculture.

      Nothing Political about that!

Don’t be naive, why is he wearing his political uniform, a red shirt and a red tie then? Mr. Walter is not stupid.

MRS MATTHEW IT IS SO NICE TO SEE THAT YOU HAD TIME SET ASIDE TO RECEIVE THE DONATIONS FROM MR WALTER AND OTHER REPRESENTATIVES FROM THE AGRICULTURE MINISTRY, BUT YOU WERE MUCH TO BUSY TO ACCEPT A SIMILAR DONATION FROM HON. NORRIS PREVOST AND HIS COLLEAGUES. WHEN WILL WE AS INDIVIDUALS BE TRUE TO OUR SELVES AND THE CHARACTERS WE PORTRAY IN PULIC?

Politicians are really the scum society. The way I see it the farmers or farmers representatives should be the ones posing in front of the camera not the politician. If the farmers are making the donations then the farmers should be getting the high light.

Great job Mr. Minister of Agriculture. I hope in the new year you will visit Q95 Matt in the morning agriculture show, not to present a hamper but to talk about agriculture with Mr. Aaron, Mr. Louis, Mr. Felton and the fiery Delawney.

Where did the food hampers come from? Did they come from the Minister or from the Ministry of Agriculture? These are all rhetorical questions to some of us. To those of you who do not know the fresh agricultural produce came from farms of FARMERS who were kind enough to donate some of their produce so that this gesture could be possible. It is high time that the farmers be recognized for their contribution made to this annual event. IT IS NOT THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE OR THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE who provide the produce. It is our hard working farmers and is incumbent on the DIRECTOR of Agriculture to bring that out to light.
