Mom and son produce video seeking post-Maria support for Dominica

Vernette Carbon is an American Citizen living in Dominica for the past 5 years.  Her husband was born and raised in Dominica.  They have an eleven-year-old son, Gevonni.  They were all in Dominica when Hurricane Maria struck.

Vernette describes the passage and impact of the monster storm as the “most devastating experience” in their lives in a country she says, has “won her heart” over all the other countries where she has lived.

Vernette and Gevonni were prompted to create a video in which they share their Hurricane Maria experience and seek support for Dominica.

The video is posted below.

It’s too bad that there aren’t more people like you on this island. It would be a totally different and better place. Unfortunately the other 80% are what keeps this place down with their pesticides, ignorance and hearts of stone.

Oh yes, this is very heartwarming to say the least. Devastation bringing out creativity is a blessing. May this family as well as other’s continue their pursuit reaching out across the World Stage. Caring Others are there to help in however kindness they can
