More ferry services for WCMF

As the 16th edition of the World Creole Music Festival draws closer, organizers have announced that L’Express des Iles will provide additional ferry services to and from Dominica this weekend.

In a release, organizers of the festival say residents of St. Lucia wishing to come to Dominica for the event can depart St. Lucia at 4 pm on Friday October 26th and return to St. Lucia at 4:30 pm on Monday October 29th.

They say the additional ferry service was provided in response to increased demand for travel between Dominica and St. Lucia for the festival.

Travellers can also arrive on LIAT 768 which departs St. Lucia at 7:00 pm daily and return on LIAT 755 at 11:10 am which operates on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The sixteenth edition of the Dominica World Creole Music Festival (WCMF) scheduled for October 26-28, 2012 at the Windsor Park Stadium will pay homage to cadence-lypso icon, the late Jeff Joseph.

The line up for this year’s festival is as follows:

Friday October 26th – Thierry Marthely, Asa Bantan, Zouk All Stars  – Stephane Ravor, Luc Leandry, Zouk Machine, Tanya St, Val, Kreyo la and WCK

Saturday October 27th – Fanatik with Fredo, Onyan and Rah, Disip Gazzman, Krosfyah, Tarrus Riley, Triple Kay

Sunday October 28th – Rising Stars, T-Vice, Damian Marley, Grammacks Original – Jeff Jo Homage, Michele Henderson & Ophelia Marie, Midnight Groovers.
