One more charged in alleged inappropriate behaviour matter

Court MinorA third individual has been charged in the matter of alleged inappropriate behaviour involving a minor.

Dominica News Online (DNO) has been reliably informed that police arrested the man on Sunday and charged him with indecent assault in the matter. He was also taken to the alleged crime scene and had a face to face with his accuser.

A magistrate was called in and according to the source, he was released on $15,000 bail and is due to appear in court on Monday. He was subsequently seen leaving police headquarters with his lawyer and other officias.

A businessman arrested earlier in connection with the same matter, was charged with six counts under the Sexual Offences Act: three counts of alleged indecent assault and three counts of alleged unlawful sexual intercourse. He appeared in court on Friday and was granted bail in the sum of $75,000.

Another man who spent Thursday night in police custody, being questioned in connection with the allegations, was charged with indecent assault. He was granted bail on Friday in the sum of $15,000 and is expected to appear in court on Monday.

Due to the nature of the allegations, the laws of Dominica stipulate that the name of all accused cannot be published.

Be careful sending child pornography videos to your families and friends in other countries, they can get convicted of possessing child pornography and can get a sentenced of 20 years in prison, if you are living in the USA and you received these disguising videos like I did go ahead and delete, its not worth your livelihood, when these perpetrators only gets a slap on the wrist. lord have mercy these young girls need some serious counseling and medical attention.

  2. March 7, 2016

CURIOUS! Why was two of the perpetrators bail set at $15,000, each, and one at $75,000? Why is the one bailed at $75,000 charged with more offenses than the others when they ALL committed the same crime?

“charged with alleged inappropriate behaviour involving a minor.”

    “charged with indecent assault”

“businessman” “same matter,” charged with “six counts under the Sexual Offenses Act:” “three counts of alleged indecent assault” and “three counts of alleged unlawful sexual intercourse.”

“SAME MATTER” yet the “BUSINESSMAN” had MORE CHARGES IMPOSED, and HIGHER BAIL amount. Is this because he’s a “BUSINESSMAN”? What are the REASONS for the DIFFERENCE in CHARGES?

It’s PAST TIME that this nonsense STOP. STAY WITH YOUR WIVES AND SIGNIFICANT OTHERS. SATISFY with what you have. CHILDREN/MINORS are called CHILDREN/MINORS for a reason.

If we allow tablets to be rollout out to schools without any security that will prevent your child from accessing porn or sharing porn or any deviant act. What do you expect? Children have access to all sorts of sexual acts some of them are designed to be taboo or designed for Sadists.

If we allow our children to be outside all hours of the night.
If we allow our children to wear yago leggings printing all their private parts.
If we allow our children to go on vehicles of older men unchaperoned.
If we allow our children to act like grown women.
If we allow our children to not take education seriously.

I can remember high school and the smart gurls would never be in these videos.
i wonder why? Most times is because they have the right people around them..

Lets Start by making it a punishable crime to share these videos and pictures of minors. this has reached people in other countries. The act is shameful yes but so is violation of the victims privacy. The very same people that are speaking up against these things are sharing and spreading the videos.

Establishing a a firm ago of consent with prosecution in Dominica would also help… communicating that to the minors as well as those of age is also very important as minors are not always forced into these situations at times they pursue older men. That does not make it okay but everyone knows this.

There should also be an established drinking age to prevent those of age from sharing or offering drinks to minors. Dominican youth are growing up faster than before its the TV, the Internet, Vulgar music from other places and locally as well as peer pressure to have things they cannot afford.

When parents allowed it to escalate, only then the law get involved. I always say to my children if they have a problem they are not sure about tell me whilst it is small because if they allow it to get big I might not be able to handle it.we are getting some where, the third man demand to face the accuser, so there is some denial. I never for one minute believe it was a straight forward thing. wait for the answers from questions

That is the way it is in Dominica. They are all good a paying lip service ever so often in order to justify their existence. Apart from that they do nothing because they all are afraid of the Doctor and his cabal or worse even they are all in his pocket. Whatever happened to our once proud nation?? We are all sitting and watching how he brings us closer to a very high cliff.

It is the bounded duty of mankind to protect the young, and the vulnerable, abuse has no place in humanity, it is evreyones responsibility to nurture and educate all children so that they can mature into responsible adulthood, and not carry a stigma of being abused, a stigma that the abused carry for the rest of their days.

One hopes that the laws of natures Isle act appropriately and stamp out this scourge permanantly, a message has to be sent out that this this most wickedly unaceptable behaviour will be severly deaalt with

My people this is for real. I see reds were rejoicing and I guess now blues will breath a sigh of relief. But we have to understand this is not a matter of color here. We need to get to the meat of the matter. Notwithstanding color, this is the our young girls being abused. No matter what is the character of the young girls…….please men send them off. Shooo them, get them help, but do not abuse them please. Do Dominican, put the colors in the trash cans and let us be each other keeper and protect our young generation. Today is one parent with a broken heart the other day it may be one closer to us….just food for thought.

    March 7, 2016

This is not an issue for just men. Socio-economic status along with peer pressure. poor parenting is equally accountable. We also need to attack and treat the source of the problem, not just the end product. Parents may have to get joint charges with the perpetrators so as to act more responsible with their children. Too many children are on their own and unsupervised everywhere. we see 4 -5 year old taking buses on their own. We have to be prepared to pay more taxes to help alleviate the situation, eg for free childcare at daycares of all ages, free preschool, free lunch at school, parents school pick ups etc public transportation, free national heath care, monthly subsistence for unemployed parents while they are being assisted to be self employed or by someone. We all have to be prepared to save our society, its a viscious circle

      Well said.

Also, bus drivers must learn to respect school children as well. Whilst of this topic, it is very sad to see bus drivers refusing to drop off children to their destinations. Wanting the $$$ (greedy), the children are picked up from the bus stop and placed half way home to foot the balance home. I SAY ‘SHAME, SHAME, SHAME ON THOSE BUS DRIVERS” – such great risk you expose these children too when treated like this. Remember, they are growing and when they begin to work then you will want their $$$$. FOOD FOR THOUGHT!!!!!!

These teenagers have been sexually active. They also have lovers boyfriends call it what you want. Yes theses men are older, but what is so different from an 18 Year old boyfriend and a 50 year old man is it because of the age..well if it’s so something must be done. These men alone can’t be blamed there is more to this than meets the eye..they were not raped coerced, forced they went willingly knowing what they were doing. It was not a one off thing they even had a place where these activities were rakingnplace .,they are also high school and college students which means they are intelligent.they took pleasure in what they were doing. The real reason that we are hearing about this is because something wen wrong someone was not happy…

Yep, they usually drive around in vans (de man in de van) scooping out play grounds, and other areas frequented by kids. Many more will fall ,starting by police officers ,politicians and others who represented the gov’t…Without forgetting the others…Please don’t forget the old ladies ,handicaps and the weak that are being raped ,some of these cases no one has been held accountable for these crimes…Shame on Dominica, all the good morals that we received long ago by our parents are being squashed like rubbish…so help me God..

      March 7, 2016

It is a sad situation and I can understand the pain and regret all around. Disgraceful and dehumanising behaviour that underage females get involved in and the error of judgement of men who should know better. I’m sure some people are now asking themselves, was it worth it?

There is a lesson here though. I guess that even in this sad situation a balance has been struck in terms of political fall out because you would not have wanted to be living in Dominica from the time that story broke if the alleged misdemeanours had been only on one side of the fence.

Some people must be grinding their teeth in frustration that their hour of gloating and vengeful rejoicing has been tempered. Serious lesson here for all of us. At the end of the day we are all Dominicans and more so human beings. As one person said publicly some time ago “The same things that we accuse other people of, we have the same propensity to do!” Be careful now everyone and let us bridle those tongues!

The Law prosecutes adult men who sexually interfere with minors. Surely, they should know that. Would nationals not love to know when and where this occurred?
Dominican men, this is a good lesson to be learned. Do not sexually interfere with minors. Do not encourage them in your presence. If you have a wife and/or girlfriend, this is enough for you. What is so exciting about a teenage minor?
If you are people of stature, I visualize the shame is greater because everyone knows you.
Some men lose their wife over infidelity. They also lose more than that. In Canada (or probably the US) it is called irreconcilable difference and irreparable damage which means separation and divorce. If the men have assets, they stand to lose half of it.
You must consider, do not forget the harm done to the minor especially if the minor is an innocent child.
Parents sue for an exorbitant sum of money especially if the perpetrator is financially well-off.

The wheels of justice appears to be rolling inside out, outside in. Three men were arrested reference to the pay to play sex scandal involving under aged women. First, the business man who was arrested, according to the press, spent approximately three days in police custody before he was bailed. A second man who was arrested by the police, according to the press, spent a day and night in police custody before he, too, was bailed. Now a three man was arrested and again according to the press, spent a few hours in police custody before he was bailed. Man number one and number two were deprived an opportunity of spending nights with their families after they were arrested and bailed. However, man number three was given an opportunity to spend his night with his family after he was arrested and subsequently bailed, very interesting, isn’t it. Is it a matter of which color shirt they were wearing, when they were arrested.

I have been listening to what the so called pastors have to say and most of them still dumb!
This whole situation is that the Moral standards in the country needs to be uplifted, we should hold our politicians and other public officials to a high standard if they want our vote.
We need to stop looking at ourselves as red or blue if not yellow or green.
We are just too hypocritical when those things happen and the same standards we set are some of the helpers and cousins of those crimes.
Why should the lives of public officials not come into review? Why do we not ensure that our punishment fits the crimes.
Why do so many people who should speak out stay quiet until it gets to this.
    Think about this:- come to me for help; come and i will pay your tuition; come I will help you get a job;
come I will place you in a higher position; we know it all yet we play hypocrite

    Let us improve our morals!!!!!

    • Muslim_Always
      March 7, 2016

If Allah/God is not given His right to be worshiped alone then the morality is baseless. The pastors, priests etc must abandon their worship of prophet Jesus peace be upon him.

The first command by All Mighty Allah is that one should not worship others along with Him. This is the worst crime against the Most High.

I invite the people of Dominica to abandon pride, seek a path of humility, study and investigate about Islam from its sources and embrace Islam before dying on their path of disbelief.

Believe in all the prophets including the last prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.

our young girls needs to respect themselves. if you dont respect yourself no one else is going to respect you.if a young woman respects herself at the age of 15 she would NEVER have such racy videos of herself circulating social media.
these older men should respect themselves, their families, children, colleagues, employees etc and quit going after these young children who could be their daughters in some cases grand daughters.in cases like these there are no winners.
i hope that the welfare division is in on this matter.

Stop making this a political issue. Think about the victim.

Lol. While this is really not a laughing matter. You are so right. The politically obsessed folks on both sides of the fence who were rearing up for a politically-motivated slugfest over this matter have suddenly gone back into their shameful shells. Very interesting indeed!
