Listen to her as
She wakes before dawn
The sweet melody starts
Natures spawn
Never in this island
Will you hear her moan
The intensity of the winds
Have all the wicked blown
Speak unto her in English,
French, or Patois
She lies between the French islands
Of Guadeloupe to the north
And Martinique to the south
Carnival is her favorite
On a blazing February
Dancing to the beat
Of the drums
Singing along as the
Parade passes
All day and night
Dominica Sings
The breeze is thick and warm
Flowing through the hair of Caribs
The sky is pink with the sunset
And the clouds are designed
As if they were cotton candy
Spending the day at the river banks
Soaking up the atmosphere
The sun dips below the horizon and sets
The sky on fire one last time
Dominica Sings
Diving in to explore the calm
Tropical filled waters
Described so beautiful
Looking closely the trees are smiling
Even they are happy to be there
Dominica’s boiling lake is the
Second largest hot lake in the world
Her boiling lakes are filled with bubbling
Greyish-blue water that’s enveloped in a cloud of vapor
Soaking up the sun and breathing
The fresh rainforests air
Dominica welcomes all kinds of race
Dominica welcomes you
She is called the nature
Island of the Caribbean
Who dared to rename her Dominica?
Christopher Columbus that’s who!
Waitukubuli is the meaning of Dominica
She offers an authentic adventure amid
The unforgettable magic of nature unspoiled
