“Cocom” loses appeal against Edison James

Claudius “Cocom” Letang who lost an appeal against former Prime Minister Edison James was ordered to pay him and his legal team $2,000 for the cost of that appeal.
The two appeared before the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court of Appeal today where the judges dismissed Letang’s appeal and remitted the matter to the High Court of Justice for trial.
The case surrounds an alleged defamatory statement which Letang made in 2008 where he allegedly accused James of owning a hotel in Barbados on a local radio station.
Seasoned lawyer Don Christopher represented James while Heather Felix-Evans sided Letang.

Tell Eddo to do the same with the Senior Counsel who has not been mincing his words in referring to Eddo as a corrupt Prime Minister. Cocom is small.So he got picked on. Cocom is easy picking for Eddo. UPW sympathizers have asked Skerit to take Lennox to court for calling him corrupt, if not then Skerrit is guilty. See the other side of the story. Tony Astaphan is on record for the last ten years accusing Mr. James of serious criminal wrongdoing. Eddo is often referred to as a “pathetic liar” even up to this week and described as one used his position when in government for personal benefit. Mr. James is yet to even mention that he will take on Tony in the court. But you see Cocom’s fence is low, so Eddo jumped on that. Cocom be careful in the future.
Cocom needs to go to night school and get some elementary education if he wants to continue on the DLP bandwagon. He just does not understand that his ignorance has blinded him; he is one of the voices that really conveys a bad image for Dominica. Congrats, Mr. James! Heather Felix Evans is as… as demonstrated in recent court proceedings. As it stands, she is a darling of Tony and Skerro; she ought to think again about what she stands for. Wont be long before she gets a reality check for… she supports. Time will tell Heather!
