Cuban leader pledges to continue enhancing relations with Dominica

President of Cuba, Raul Castro Ruz

President of Cuba, Raul Castro Ruz has pledged to continue working to enhance the friendship and cooperation between the Commonwealth Dominica and the Republic of Cuba.

A congratulatory message from His Excellency, Raul Castro Ruz, President of the Councils of State and of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, dated December 19th 2009, reads in part:

“On the occasion of your re-election as Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, I extend cordial congratulations to you and renew to you our resolve to continue enhancing the excellent relations of friendship and cooperation existing between both countries….”

The Commonwealth of Dominica and the Republic of Cuba have enjoyed warm and cordial relations over many years. In 2008, the Government of Dominica awarded the country’s highest award, the Dominica Award of Honour (D.A.H) to former Cuban President, Dr. Fidel Castro Ruz in recognition of the tremendous contribution of the Republic of Cuba to the Government and people of Dominica over the last three decades.

You know, i really can not believe this. How can we Dominicans, a freedom loving people, an independent people fall in line with 2 of the most HEINOUS individuals in the Americas (Castro and Chavez), and then …. RE-elect the communist-in-training …? How can we be proud of ourselves? How can we honor a man like Fidel Castro? How can we accept praise from Raul Castro? You need to take a trip to Cuba, take a trip to Venezuela, and then tell me if this is what you want for Dominica.

    WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!

Nobody can bring your country down, you have to put your country forward, but Dominicans so jealous of each other instead you work together you all have a fault with everything somebody do to help. We have to come together and build our country, not let haitians, and chinese and all other people that cannot even pronounce the places in dominica, build it for us.
