DFP sends congratulations following general elections in St. Vincent and the Grenadines

Gonsalves

The Dominica Freedom Party (DFP) congratulates Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves and his Unity Labour Party (ULP) of St. Vincent and the Grenadines for securing a third consecutive term in Government following the General Election held on Monday, December 13, 2010.

The DFP wishes Dr. Gonsalves and his Government well and expects that they will govern with grace, transparency, dignity and respect for the democratic tradition of their country as was clearly articulated by Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves in his pronouncements following the result of the general election.

The Dominica Freedom Party (DFP) also extends congratulations to Mr. Arnheim Eustace and his New Democratic Party (NDP) of St. Vincent and the Grenadines for their tremendous performance in the Monday, December 13, 2010 general election. The increase of seats in the Parliament of St. Vincent and the Grenadines

Eustace

from three to seven is a clear indication that a large number of the electorate has expressed confidence in the NDP and expect them to play a major role in the Governance of their Country.

The DFP wishes the NDP success in going forward and encourages them to take advantage of their improved position to work towards the preservation of the democratic tradition of St. Vincent and the Grenadines as well as towards the social and economic welfare of all its citizens.

Ralph Gonsalves has done enough damage. He has created an economy that is in shambles, sold our national bank, bought voters with galvanize and cement and made fear and corruption the new standard in SVG. The brave ULP Parliamentarian that crosses the isle and saves our country – I wonder who that will be?

DURING THE TIME WHEN DFP WAS IN POWER DOMINICA HAD A GOOD STANDING AMONG OUR OECS SISTER ISLANDS. WE DOMINICANS COULD HOLD OUR HEADS UP HIGH AND FEEL PROUD. THERE WAS NO ALLEGATIONS OF CORUPTION OR ILLEGALITY. THE RULE OF LAW WAS RESPECTED, AGRICULTURE, EMPLOYMENT FOR ALL, FOOD, FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND WELL RESPECTED MINISTERS ALL WERE IN PLENTIFUL.

WHERE HAVE THESE GOOD DAYS GONE???

WE SHOULD TELL OUR CHILDREN ABOUT THESE GOOD OLD DAYS.

IT IS TIME FOR DOMNINCA TO FLORISH LIKE THAT AGAIN.

    DFP WILL RISE AGAIN
