Douglas wins passport case brought by constituent; still faces similar case brought by St. Kitts Attorney General

Dr. Douglas faces a similar case brought by the St. Kitts Attorney general to be heard in September

The civil suit brought against Opposition Leader Dr. Denzil Douglas by one of his constituents over Dr. Douglas’ possession of a diplomatic passport of Dominica, has been thrown out of the court.

Cuthbert “Big Chief” Mills of Newton Ground took legal action against the former Prime Minister in February, challenging his eligibility to remain an elected parliamentarian due to the second passport issue.

Millss’ legal team was led by Anthony Ross QC.

The Attorney General filed a mirror suit one month prior.

Mills and the Attorney General had sought to consolidate their cases, but the judge ruled against it.

The UWP has been singing the same hymn for a very long time selling of passports corruption etc etc but intelligent Dominicans take no notice of them because their record in government doesn’t make good reading. The electorate trusted them for four and a half years “ONLY” and after eighteen years they cannot convince the people that they can run this country

I agree with the judge’s decision. Since the AG. has brought the very same case against Dr. Douglas, there is no need for repetitions. When the substantive case is adjudicated, I wish to see Dr. Douglas debarred from attending parliament. Dr. Douglas and fake, bogus ‘Dr’. Skerrit are cut from the same cloth. They are untrustworthy, deceitful narcissists who have large egos to feed. That secretive deal of granting Dr. Douglas a Dominican diplomatic passport was an ‘under the table’ act. That’s the reason it was shrouded in COMPLETE DARKNESS. When both of these loathsome, political dinosaurs are banished from politics, Caribbean nationals will breathe a collective sigh of relief.

An OECS citizen is taken to court because he has a diplomatic passport from another OECS country.

You need to shut up, there is a fraud involved in that. Denzel is a native St. Kitts born, why should it state in a Dominica Diplomatic passport or any other travel passport Dominica that he was born in Dominica!

How can a person be born in Dominic, and also in st. Kitts unless he was born twice, in two different places?

Know what is going on before rubbing off your mouth! I am a citizen of the United States of America; nevertheless, it shall forever state in any American passport I hold for the rest of my life that my place of birth is the Commonwealth of Dominica.

When my citizenship papers where handed to me one of the first I notice written there on was place of Birth: “The Commonwealth of Dominica, that cannot change!

Unfortunately Dominica has nothing to show for it but instead some guys have big bank accounts to show for it. But Dominicans keep voting for these same guys rather than vote for their country!! Doesn’t make sense to me.

Absolutely nothing to show. The thing is most Dominicans see ignorance as a terminal sickness, once we are diagnosed with it we simply wait to die. How can a government be so incompetent and win election after election. Only ignorance justifies this.
