On Monday Opposition Leader, Lennox Linton, delivered the response to the budget for the financial year 2015-2016 which was presented in parliament last week by Prime Minister, Roosevelt Skerrit.

It’s a long read – the length of it being an indication of the problems confronting Dominica and the opposition.
Your solutions are clearly explained. Ultimately goodness and common sense will prevail. And agriculture will return to its position leading the country to economic prosperity.
Strong presentation
It is clear that DLP supporters will never understand what is true progress. Even Satan has his followers. The critics of Lennox has not read or listen to his presentation. They didn’t even listen to Skerrit to be able to make a proper comparison. They have short attention spans. They have no clue about economic performance indicators. All they know is that they love their PM and their PM always right and Lennox always wrong. They have no concern about the lies, stealing and economic destruction of Skerrit. They love their PM. I urge all to read the presentation of the leader of the opposition and decide for yourself. Note the assessment made of our economy as well as the comparative analysis with neighboring islands. Mr. Linton also presented concrete solutions to address our situation. If you are not honest you will undoubtedly have great difficulty with the presentation of the Leader of the Opposition.

Skerrit have them like toy! When Skerrit said no law no constitution could stop him they tried to twist it. But what Skerrit meant was that he knew the Laws and Constitution of the Commonwealth of Dominica so well that there was no law in the constitution that would prove him of any of the wrong doings which they accused him of. Now here we go again. The educated Skerrit using “all legal strategies” to legally toy with them in the house. They are uneducated, wild and ignorant of many laws and regulations of Dominica. They did not even know that they could not travel with “crab backs” without a permit. Really? You thought you could just go in and out with crabs? And after they wrong they still go about correcting it the wrong way, leading to a young man losing his job. Almost everything they do is a mess. They are like “cavemen”. They think they should always get physical to get noticed or make their point. Is like they always high on Johnnie Walker! Keep walking!

To compare the development status and standard of living between beautiful Dominica and our sister St Lucia we use “Per Capita Income”.
Please do not use the information provide by the masters of doom, gloom and ignorance in the budget response, it is misleading.
LIBERATE YOURSELF FROM MENTAL SLAVERY>
You all were not allowed to talk in the opposition on the budget because it was closed before time. Not even twelve ministers including my pal rep had time to talk, what a shame. The opposition must now go around the country and educate the people on the budget. The people must know.
Why does this sound more like a campaign speech than a budget response. Lennox really need to learn to tell the difference. He should research and read/listen to opposition budget addresses from neighboring countries or from Dominica’s past.
Of course, it sounded like a campaign speech only because Roosevelt was so weak in his presentation. I used to vote labour but not again with Roosevelt in the seat. It is clear to me now that he hijacked our party for his own use and I don’t like that at all. I watched and listened to Lennox Linton and he is closer to the labour ideal of a just and equal society than Roosevelt Skerrit himself.

Lennox is a good radio personality, there’s no question about that, but being a good communicator or radio presenter does not automatically qualify you to being a good political leader. Sadly this was demonstrated on Monday evening when he walked out of parliament. There’s no disputing the fact that we need good effective opposition to the present government, but unfortunately this present opposition under the leadership of Lennox Linton are far from being a credible opposition.
Lennox and UWP are not the issue. The issue of poor governance and high debt in Dominica rests in the hands of Skerrit and the inept DLP ministers and their cronies. They are incompetent and have impoverish our beloved country

Lennox walked- rightly so- only after your leader prevented the Opposition from presenting their side of the debates. He declared the debates closed early and so they walked out in protest of that. Skerrit wished he had half the integrity, intelligence and dignity as Lennox.
He is not just a brilliant radio personality, but an excellent orator, probably one of the best on island. It’s a joy listening to him.
Good job Lennox, you must realize no matter what good you do will not be accepted by DLP members. They cannot face the truth. Thanks for giving us hope. They waited twenty years before they get there, we have patience we too can wait for when God is ready. We will never cease in praying. Honourable men be calm be cool in your presentations. You must know when you pray to pray with a good, loving – kind and humble heart. Never wish harm to others. This is displeasing to God. Otherwise your prayers will not be answered. If they are answered or so you may think, it could be a hanger for your jacket.
