Linton (right) will table a motion of No Confidence in Skerrit

Leader of the Opposition, Lennox Linton, is expected to table a motion for a vote of No Confidence in Prime Minister, Roosevelt Skerrit, when Parliament convenes on October 19.

According to the motion, the Prime Minister is mismanaging the island’s economy.

It states that the mismanagement of the economy is evidenced “by rising unemployment, sharp decline in the performance of agriculture, tourism, manufacturing, construction and service sectors and an increase in the trade deficit and a massive national debt.”

It said because of that, the House of Assembly expresses “its lack of confidence in the leadership of the Prime Minister.”

Presently the House of Assembly in Dominica consists of 32 members: 15 elected members for the Dominica Labour Party and five government senators, six elected members of the Opposition United Workers Party and four opposition senators and one ex officio member, who is the Attorney General.

Lennox is a troublemaker, causing much trouble again. He thinks he could make a better PM. The man is presumptuous. You are causing much division and disunity.
Lennox, you did not attend the sitting for the budget. Instead you amass your followers to stage a demonstration. That did not work. Now you want to vote the PM no confidence? What next eh?
This is one angry and hateful man who wants to sit in D/ca’s Parliament as PM. People are not foolish. Your supporters should not be foolish.

The same Dominicans are behaving with the Hon. Lenox is the same way they behaved with the late Hon.Rosie until it was to late. They called Rosie comunist. They said he doesn’t know what he is talking about. When he got into power then they realize they should have made him PM long time but it was to late. To late should Dominica be called.

It was people like you who have to say true my fault true my most gracious fault Rosie became prime minister to late. Lennox will not be missed in dominicas politics. It would b a blessing if he gets out and let civilised people to be in such prestigious position. All this man bring to that office is shame an disgrace. so don’t call Rosie name in all u joogoom. Tell him come with his vote of no confidence. We waiting patiently for him. Tell him don’t walk out wen the blows start falling on him. And he must come with facts not the ones like he brings 4Q. “Well…Barbados, St. Lucia, St.Vincent, Grenada and other islands are experiencing the same troubles. So should all of then table a vote-of-no-confidence in their PM? Linton is just trying to make news.”(No Name).

What we have here is the Dominica mentality at work; this person is simply exposing his badge of Honor (stupidity), on his forehead as said by the late Prime Minister Pirie Charles. The issue is Dominicans, are out of work, jobs are not created by the local natives.

The government is unable to attract foreign investment into the country, hence the economy of the country is stagnant, and is fast declining; however, this person with no name is contented with the status quo, and makes comparisons between the islands named in the quote.

When someone compare Barbados economy to that of Dominica alone proves that person is perhaps foreign to this planet, or mentality ill. Barbados is a fully developed island in the Caribbean, while Dominica is definitely a nature island…

      Dr. Telemaque,

Dominica is a sick country, not a ‘nature’ one. We are in the list of the 10 most dangerous countries to live in according to the journal, Global Statistics.

We are very fat, have zika, aids, high levels of amputees and NCCD’s, Aids, leprosy, nascent yellow fever, denge, encephalitic ticks and women with really bad attitudes.

Instead of focussing on this fairy tale, think about all the obeah that is taking place in Dominica right now:-

OUR BIBLE HAS CHANGED – CHANGED!!!!!

Check your Bible, it says now that:-

JESUS WAS ‘HANGED’ ON A TREE ((Acts. 5.30), ,NOT CRUCIFIED
THERE ARE ‘BOTTLES’ IN THE BIBLE NOW?????
THE ‘WOLF’, NOT ‘LION’ IS LAYING WITH THE LAMB
THERE ARE REFERENCES TO ‘P*ss’ AND ‘P*ss**g’ IN THE BIBLE
(Samuel. 25.22 So and more also do God unto the enemies of David, if I leave of all that pertain to him by the morning light any that pisseth against the wall’.

They have also CHANGED our Lord’s Prayer!

      Tell us what is…

      • Mandela Effect - Dr. Vin LeFelk
        October 18, 2016

Pastor Jones, sadly the changes to the KJV Bible in hard and soft print (not reprints) and many other strange happenings in the world recently are a result of the ‘Mandela Effect’.

The Mandela Effect is a modern phenomenon whereby large groups of people worldwide are reporting changes to the world that have appeared supernaturally.

The analysis is that this is due to giant leaps in quantum theory whereby quantum D-Wave computers in cahoots with CERN are now separating the very essence of life – protons which enable scientists fed by Satan himself, to be in the future, present and past at the same time and by doing so, are able to change the world AND us in anyway that they see fit. This is now in test mode and changes are now gradual. Soon they will become devastating.

Important to note that quantum computers are driven by a self-learning AI device and the quantum computers can calculate at 100 million times faster than any conventional computer.

The Response will also be recorded in the Hansard and that is what I would really like to hear.; I hope the UWP is ready for the responses they will be given and I hope the Government side does not hold back; should be interesting if it gets that far.

I hope the UWP will not walk out of the House when their vote get defeated because they know it will. I hope they can take the truth and do not storm off as is their habit when the responses to their motions are made; and then the following week turn around and say because of their defeat in the House that prevents them from taking part in the Independence Celebrations because they know and we know this motion is frivolous and they know it will amount to nothing because it will not pass in the House; therefore it is a childish and nonsensical motion.

But we all know why they want to do it.

Work out friends, if Lennox wins, how can he change anything?? Dominica is 100% broke. The only money it gets from anyone is by begging and in exchange for its votes in international bodies (UN, etc.). Even our passport sales are regulated by those outside Dominica who take their cut BEFORE our regime gets theirs. Lennox cannot influence that. He will just end up taking as much as our current regime and guess what, MARK MY WORDS, if he gets in, he will be a millionaire in less than 5 years.

Some Dominicans continue to miss the point. The reasons for the vote of no confidence will have statistics behind them, and can be proven.
I honestly doubt that Skerrit will get out of Office based on this VONC. ..But when the time comes that He, Skerrit will be brought to question and bare responsibility for destroying Dominica’s Economy, then this will be on record that the parliamentary opposition did bring it forward and that despite the obvious evidence, it was ignored by the majority. Whether we like it or not, that day will come when Skerrit will put his hand on his head, if it is that he has a conscience.
Sad thing is the Damage will already be done and Dominicans will be the ones suffering..He will flee to the US or France..
Many young Dominicans are hopeless, desperate to get out…Why are prices so high? Why are Taxes on the port like price gouging? Why do ppl at 40 still don’t own a home? Institutions are infiltrated. The Police, Electoral Office, IPO etc. Be…

This is a waste of time ,and a cheap tactic. The government majority is too large, and is there reason to believe the elected government members would vote in support? I mean if there was a crisis or major scandal then yes, barring that- what exactly is the meaning of this?

What Lennox should be working on is presenting a plan for Dominica. Are we gonna be a predominately agricultural state processing our produce, or tourism centred (better have more to offer than an ‘international airport’ when all OECS countries complain about lack of inter regional airlines). Or are we going to be focused on exporting water. Developing our geothermal resource to the point of potentially exporting (this is green ‘oil’). Choose one because with our limited financial resources we cant do all at the same time. This is what people want: ideas, vision, plans, goals- not cheap politics, talk show scandals, rumours etc. Cheap politics don’t create jobs, put food on a table, or instil national…

Interesting observation. Like running in front a form of distraction? It will not work. Dominicans have seen how both leaders work. There is absolutely no comparison.

Most Dominicans know what is best for us and it is not the UWP.

Maybe an early pretense to avoid the Independence Celebrations since Dominicans will not any time soon make them the Government, so they are actually angry with Dominicans and really has nothing to do with the Government because it is not the Prime Minister who prevents them from forming the government but us, the voting majority.

So it is a vote against us and not the Government.

Dominica is not a one-party state DC and less than 60% of the population voted for Skerrit in the last election. He lost three seats, important seats that went all to the opposition. So we are not all united in supporting mr. Skerrit by a long shot.

Good question Ras Ju. In the last general election ( 8 Dec. 2014):

        – DLP got 56.99 of votes and lost three seats.
        – UWP got 42.92% votes and gained three seats
        – Independent got the remaining 0.09% and neither lost or won a seat.
I would submit that our government can not ignore the size of the opposition as manifested by these results. It would not be democratic and certainly not helpful in trying to unite our nation.

That government is just a waiste of time. When was the last sitting of parliament….How many sitting have taken place since the last elections. After 16 years in power this labour party government does not understand that their role is to create an enabling policy environment for the country to develop. Instead they are breaking down all the institutions in the country and running a vi-ki-vi government …….
It is sickening….l have never felt so dejected and frustrated in my country…… Even the youth are so frustrated and angry.

I SAY IT’s TIME FOR THEM TO GO¡!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This should be interesting and is a test of Dominican democracy..This test should have been applied earlier..Let’s see how it plays out

Fortunately or unfortunately, we are not a direct democracy; thls is a Party rule democracy by which process Mr Linton must secure the votes to sustain a motilón of no confidence. This is not possible.

What is there to test. We already know what the outcome will be.

Clayton the only way the vote of no confidence will succeed is if there are factions in Skerrit government who are dissatisfied with Skerrit actions, and lack of ability to move the country forward.

Hence, they side with the opposition, and support the vote of no confidence. It is not likely that will happen; since the people in Skerrit’s government are simply pawns in Skerrit’s scheme of things. The members of the government life depends on Skerrit, if a vote of no confidence prevail, that would mean the fall of Skerrit, and his entire government.

Remember, most of them are not rich as Skerrit, so they will protect their job with their life and will not render a vote of no confidence against their master, and god Skerrit!

The members of the DLP in the house will cross the floor to support the UWP and the government will fall. Lennox will be the new PM and will form the government.
Even if the PM says that Lennox have no regard for Law and Order, no respect for the Police or the Speaker of the House, is clueless about the procedure of Parliament, is always walking out, Is always quiting , like Arthei Martin of plant pepers instead of bananas fame. The PM may have a lapse in memory and forget to mention that Lennox was the first to quit when asked to serve on an oganisation for Reconstruct after Erica, just like Arthie did when he was made Minister of Agriculture. Clayton Shillingford will become the new Minister of Agriculture. The PM may not mention Lennox ability to throw his friends under the bus like Francis and the craback guy. What about his and Fountain promise to create 8,000 jobs but cant create one for themselves. Sticky fingers for Minister of Finance. Great move La Lie for Skeritt to…

Hey Francisco , can anyone write the Queen and then publish the letter. Is there a special protocol to write Her Majesty to degrade a Baroness ?

      • DR Clayton Shillingford
        October 14, 2016

Francisco..while you are correct that it is not likely that members of the DLP in parliament wil side with Skerrit….. I am often not inclined to pose question and answer my own question..Besides the audience on the side of Skerrit in the Parliament the opposition assuaging they can state th case will have wider audience outside the Parliament,…locally, regionally and internationally.. you never know what the fall out may be..

        I don’t see why not!

I am not going to comment on that anyway unless I know the reason behind the letter; is it significant relating to Dominica, and since Dominica is a sovereign country, I don’t know if there could be a reason for inviting the queen into anything involving Dominica, since Saverin is Dominica King!

        Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!

So, tell me what the letter entails, but if I write you a letter, I can also issue a carbon copy to anybody I wish, including the media!

MR FRANCISCO, Lennox Linton, is a serial disaster how could we Dominicans put a goat head to be our leader, We are happy with Pm Skerrit doing a good job for us and so shall it be.

Honourable Dr., there is no democracy in Dominica. We have the Vatican’s representatives and the Freemasons, that’s all.

      May heaven help us!

Lennox that is a loosing battle. The Parliamentarians on the gov side are not independent minded nor are they capable of wielding any clout. You will need their votes. Although some of them agree but would not dare challenge.

We all know that Shaka but at least it will show that not all Dominicans stand united behind what Roosevelt Skerrit is up to. I even expect he may try and put something in the way to prevent this motion being tabled because he can not stand anyone cricizing him at all.

The picture above says it all.

Remember Trump and Hillary? Outwardly, enemies, but in private, the best of mates who are presenting the ‘thesis’ – ‘antithesis’ ploy of their masters so as to give the illusion of choice.

Lennox is a mere pawn, just like Skerritt. Both have to follow the bidding of their masters. Remember R Douglas and Pierre before Skerritt? Their sudden deaths are a lesson to us all.

It is your right Mr. Opposition Leader; if there is any reasonable substance to that vote. In the same sitting, we would support the Government side also table a vote of non-confidence against the leader of the Opposition?

I would suggest to the government that the also table a vote of non-confidence because in my opinion the opposition doesn’t want to see anything good happening in the country because they oppose everything.

So go ahead. That will not let them win the hearts of Dominicans against a working and caring government. Give us more reasons to make sure you remain in
opposition and never sit in the Prime Minister seat.
