Would you imagine, at the first sitting of Parliament the Opposition Leader has made a fool of himself? This guy thinks he knows everything and whereas he knows nothing. A big talker that likes attention. Even trying to tell the Speaker of the House what she/he must do. I am so happy that the Speaker can handle him with ease and put him in his rightful place while he embarrasses himself whenever he stands and speak.
Congratulations to the newly reelected speaker I hope every body heard 21 to ABK and 10 to JP and that is final, that is true democracy. The UWP’s must now take their seats in Parliament and do the business of the people and stop causing problems five more years and until further notice, that is Labour time. I support the banning of Kallie he to like trouble go and find news outside to report on Quack 95
I like your comment. The manner in which you wrote made me laugh. Typical Dominican, eh?
DNO – why have you not rally around your colleague C. Jno-Baptiste who is banned from the house of assembly because Alix decide so? today may be him – your turn will come when evil people in power are abusive . There should be a big papa article about this. Why are you so timid in your reporting. If freedom of the press is taken away then we are in big trouble
Can you please inform me as to how I could view the session on line. Thanks
” a bill to amend the National Parks and Protected Areas act” hmmmm, very interesting! Let’s see what this amendment is all about.
That is a lot of the people’s business for the first setting, that’s why there was no space for the opposition questions. They still have the oath of all the senator’s so that’s it. All those who come out to demonstrate will be a waste of time.
I wholeheartedly endorse what you stated. They should comprehend that, at the First Sitting, there is no time for such questions and discussions. They should have utilized their common sense and introduce them at another time, if they are accepted.
If the government elects the same old Speaker, Alix Boyd-Nights, then, we know all the talk about “Olive branch” was nothing but a smoke screen for continued rancor and division in the House and country. Unless the citizens of Dominica demand a change in direction for true democracy, and stop pandering to the government simply because they get crumbs favors and bribes. We shall continue to be the laughing stock of the region if the status quo remains. Once again, I call on every citizen to do what is right for Ma Dominique. Demonstrate and demand your government elect a Speaker for Dominicans and not for Roosevelt Skerrit’s dirty work against the opposition.
