Peoples Parliament postponed indefinitely

The Movement to Restore Democracy (MRD) would like to inform the public that the fourth “Peoples Parliament”, which was scheduled to be held this Thursday in La Plaine, has been rescheduled to a, yet to be determined, date.

This decision was taken because the event conflicted with a preciously scheduled event celebrating 65 years of service to the Dominican community by Reverend Martin of La Plaine.

The MRD will inform the public on a new date as soon as it has been set. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused.

I support the introduction of a national identification card, a voters’ registration card and a cleansed voters list. My question is why didn’t Mr james and the u.w.p. introduce those things when they were in office? I support the compulsory use of i.d. cards. This is the year 2010 we can’t continue to live in the same old way. We must know who is who among us. National i.d. cards would help law enforcement , financial institutions, health services and others in a meaningful way. There are so many people with identical names in many villages and throughout Dominica. I.D cards with registration numbers would help to curb fraud. DON’T BE ASHAMED LETS ASK OUR BARBADIAN FRIENDS FOR HELP IN THIS MATTER.

A first blunder, clearly it shows that you cannot be definitive about a major decision such a s this public forum which is already a conflict with other events, while we wre not under cutting the importance of the other events, however we are saying that the planning commitee has already flawed theri resolve in making a major decision such as this one.
    Good luck next time Sir.

Hope they do not make another blunder soon. They need to put their leader in parliament. They need to find a safe seat for their leader. This is what all serious political parties do. They now have the opportunity to get Ron Green, the party leader, into a safe seat in parliament. Marigot beckons; and Salisbury beckons. Let us see what they will do.

it was a bunch of crap anyway so who cares, you want to give information to the nation but you only talk on one side and not the other, Dominicans DO NOT WANT THE UNITED WORKERS PARTY so save your time and money Sam, we had enough of their crap, they say they fighting for voters ID and registration, when they were the ones who started shipping people from antigua and the US to vote , they are liers and thats why the tables are turned now, and they do not like it, you seems to be a good man but you need to get rid of these power hungy old men who have no drive or care for Dominica.

I am for voters ID and registration but i am not for UWP.

I am not for UWP, but I stand for fairness.

If every body in Dominica are Labourites, Dominica would be hang upside down.

we have people on the Lords side and those on santans side.
