United Workers Party (UWP) candidate for the Roseau Valley Constituency, Attorney-at-Law Ronald Charles says he has big plans for the people of his constituency.
Charles, who was addressing party supporters at a meeting held in Laudat recently, promised the people of that community a Resource Centre, basketball court and refurbishing of the playing field in that area if elected in the December 8 polls.
“I promise you as long as we have life the Resource Centre will come. The basketball court will come and we will refurbish the playing field with lights on it. I will do that for my people,” he stated.
He also promised the people in Laudat who are involved in the ourism business that the UWP, “will ensure that the trail between Cochrane and Laudat will be reestablished.”
He called on the people of the community to ensure that current MP, Dr. Collin McIntyre never represent the Roseau Valley again.
“He has failed us and because he has failed us we have to teach him a lesson,” Charles said.
He called for the support of everyone since he said his plans are “huge.”
“My plans for Laudat is big, it is huge and I want you to help me together we are going to make it happen,” he said. “Be very careful of what is going on and be smart. I am saying now please give me your support.”
Charles said his message to the people of the Roseau Valley Constituency is, “remain focused, do not make this money thing fool you because that is what is going on…”
“People do not be sidetracked. Remain focused and we have to try our best to pray for this country. I am a Valley man and I continue to be there with you,” he said.
Ronald you have our support the people who know you know that your are person who helps in any way possible you tend to forget little at times your only human not just because your a politician now but from time of island car rentals you helped persons from your own pocket hard earned money everybody has a fault but as well everybody deserves a chance DR mac is a good man he had his chance but we need a change remember the key word CHANGE
UWP is mot ready to do anything they are inepped. This is just a political gimmick thats there to fool the people for change. I hope that Dominicans are ready to work hard and tough if these guys get in power. They are on a thin strand of hair. They have no investors to begin and their promises are shallow. These guys hold a dark power over Dominica. Look at the hat\red that is being spread. These guys have a consultium with mediums and do not represent GOD Almighty. Open your spiritual eyes and turn from UWP wicked plans. They will bring the Patricjk John issue to Dominica again and then our country will be placed in the dark ages once more.
Bing.. Ronald Sorry but the Valley is not happy with you. Dr Mac may have his issues but you are worst. Lets take for Example the Roseau Valley Basket ball league, You have your name flying high as a sponsor and up to now you haven’t given the committee 1 CENT. Give us one reason why should we trust you? You talk about Resource center because you know the Village council has the start up funds. What are your plans for the other Roseau Valley Villages??? your speech needs some beef, its empty. Seriously your attorney title, and singing in a band can only bring you this far. For you to win Collin you have to do a lot more and prove yourself to be an HONEST PERSON. You have now until December 7th to do it…….
Dr.Mac all the way 1. good Road 2. Resource center 3. enhancement of tourist site 4. Housing
5. affordable house lots 6. geothermal 7. School bus 8. yes we care and many more small project all over
You self never said anything with substance at Laudat who you trying to full.
Colin in one way or the other made some contribution to mostly everything that happen in the valley he is not a boastful person. you not going to do anything better. I really don’t know what people want again. Allu you want him to cook the food, share it and still wash the plate dry it and put it away.
So whats going to happen to Geothermal energy for the country as to where it sits in Laudat… why didn’t he say anything about that??? His big plan is to build a track from Cochrane to Laudat and a basketball court? Seriously??
Roseau Valley have been without representation under the DLP for the last ten years . In every village in the valley its the same cry. WE DONT SEE THE PAL .REP. He only have one or two persons in each village he visits from time to time , mostly at night when the village is asleep. He was the minister for Agriculture , he failed it. minister of diaspora affairs he failed .minister employment ??? now he asking us to employ him after he took employment from the people of laudat..the tram. Can any one tell me of his track record of employing persons in the valley? He destroyed the rabbit festival in Cockrane. He continue to fool the young girls and I must add disrespecting them too. do you know the number of them that have his telephone number but cannot get him after he ask then to call him? Mc. Intyre is not palrep material. He is never true to his word. I WILL TAKE MY CHANCES WITH THE SAME RONALD CHARLES.
Bing I am with you my bro,doc money distribution will not save you this time, trust me.
Yes money sharing like hot bread in TR, no name no warrant the one with the labour bar not far from the falls received over 40 thousand, one from lily valley was shock to see the huge sum he received, the one in Laudat who was against the geothermal plan received a huge sum to remain quiet all them lazy young men all over the place is getting lots of money to vote for labour including my families and myself, after the last election Collin told us he pay ior his vote and have nothing to give us, the man abandon TR and is back playing nice guy, one strong worker supporter the one with the read car, received a big sum to turn red and many others, so yes thousands are being given to TR people to vote labour again
@Valley Massive. .. The voters should know there ideas and agenda, I’m undecider voter and my comments doesn’t indicate party I support I lessons to both side before I make my choice and I would like to know each party ideas and visions, by the way you’re uwp supporter, it seems you wanna be bias and arrogant, I know for sure i have never been fooled by any politicians.
Colin all the way — Vote DLP
Hi Ronald I like you a lot you are decent young man what possessed you to be in that barrel of crabs, you are in the right church but sitting in the wrong pew man take your deposit and run while you can it is not too late.

Change is coming to the Valley in a big way! We will be on the train come the 9 Dec.
Mr. Charles, the people have heard your call and will answer it on the 8 of December 2014.
You are a good man who cares about his people.
lol
Bing – we know that if you doh win you going to have to run away like Earl
The road you driving on every day to go Roseau…..you doh like that?
People of Laudat, Cochrane, Vallay (Wotten Waven), Morne Prosper don’t know you and won’t vote you. In Trafalgar they don’t like you, they’ve know you all your life. As for Fond Canie worse than too bad.
The people really know you….we doh ballin nuh…….we rolling with Collin!
Labour all the way
We will see
Young man, Big plans, I think he is ready and i truely think the people of the Valley will get better representation from Ronald Charles. Remember if Ronald agreed in 2009 to contest for the DLP, there would be no Dr.Mac, he saw the light and right through the DLP and decided not to join them. Good move Ronald , Good Move.
Awa
Mr. Charles for the Valley.
Bingggg*henery voice* lol…we know better garcon.we rather dr.mc
We are with you Mr. Charles! We are fed up of being charity cases! No quality representation only handouts for votes…we gave Dr. Mac a chance and he did fail us. Election time again and votes are being paid for. if you had a good track record there would have been no need to be vote catching now..Your work would speak for itself. A new term, new manifesto….where are the promises of the last election…we the people of the valley demand a change! It’s not just about party politics..Its about receiving quality representation…They say transportation to school was provided – This was not a Dr. Mac doing; We got good roads bcause of geothermal – not Dr, Mac doing – Sports have been neglected; village feasts are failing due to lack of funding from the Government resulting in increase division among community and depravation of community spirit which are critical factors in community building. we are ready to speak out; We are ready!
Hold on!!!!! give us a chance 5 more years
We rolling with Mr mr 5 more years
All the way with Dr. Mac
U must rather Dr.Mac garcon because it is people like you that helping Collins to make a mockery of valley people.dumb
Stupessssssssss of course we not stupid Ronald so that is why we rolling with Collin haahaahahahhaahaha, the best MP after Henry nous pas sot you and team fou wont every win that seat now get it in your mind, Morn Pros dont want you
Tell him come again next time this time there is no room in the inn…..labour all the way
If the people of the valley prefer to be a charity case and every five years they see their pal rep to get handouts. Then you plp deserve Labour. I foresee a next five years under Labour that Dominicans lining up under ministry with buckets to get white rice and LPOs to get their back n neck. Labour ka twavay!!!
Voters more likely wants to hear educations, jobs, infrastructure, we all know basketball court is important for our young stars but it can be done matter of time, so you need to address these issues for the Roseau Valley voters, education, jobs, and infrastructure.
well said
Creation of jobs is to be done on a macro level! Do you want him to make promises which he cannot keep? Then again I can understand – You are so used to being fooled that you continue to ask for it..Its a gross shame! The UWP party has already outlined its plans for education and jobs on a national level. Did Mr. McIntrye create jobs and provide education for the Roseau valley besides the NEP program (which by the way I think is brilliant idea and superb election strategy. Thumbs up to the PM for this one!) However after the year of “fabricated employment” what happens? The NEP is such a mess – The country is so stagnant they are barely able to meet 50% of the NEP target of 5000 jobs before election. It a sad state…I just wish my people would open their eyes and see the bigger picture #brainwashed
@ Valley Massive…The people should know there ideas what’s on there agenda,I’m undecider voter and my comments didn’t indicate which party I support I lis sons to both side before I make a choice ,and I would like to know each party ideas and visions, by the way you’re uwp supporter, it seems to me you try to be bias and arrogant , I know for sure i haven’t been fooled by any politician.

I would like to hear more than basket court this can happen matter of time, so it seems the dlp is creating educations, jobs for the people of Roseau Valley because you failed to address these matters.
