United Workers Party (UWP) Leader Ron Green has made it clear that his party’s elected members will continue to boycott the Parliament, despite threats of a bi-election by Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit.
Green reiterated at the third session of the Peoples Parliament in Salisbury on Tuesday that the UWP is not satisfied with the general elections results and will continue to boycott the proceedings.
“We are saying that we must clean the electoral list and [ensure] that there are no dead people on the list, there are no repetition of names and that there is a clean list. We are saying that we must have free and fair access to the state-owned media, and there must be a formula derived so that the access can be brought about,” he said.
Green also called for adherence to the bribery laws that we have in Dominica.
