DNO POLL: How important is the issue of plagiarism in deciding for whom you vote?

pollIn recent days the issue of plagiarism exploded into the public domian when the Dominica Labour Party (DLP) accused leader of the United Workers Party (UWP) Lennox Linton, of using parts of a speech by Allen Chastanet of St. Lucia.

The DLP held a large public meeting in Roseau last Thursday to specifically lay out its claim.

Subsequently, the UWP came up with its own allegations, claiming that prime minister, Roosevelt Skerrit, plagiarized the works of other leaders such as the late prime minister of Barbados, David Thompson and prime minister of Mauritius, Anerood Jagnauth, in his own speeches.

But in blogs and on social media some people have opined that Dominica faces bigger problems that need to be addressed than that of plagiarism.

DNO would like the opinion of readers in a new poll.

We are asking, “How important is the issue of plagiarism in deciding for whom you vote in the upcoming election?”

The poll will be active for one week.

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.
