DNO Poll: Should Dominica fully embrace the Caribbean Court of Justice?

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has said that Dominica will join the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) as its final court of appeal.

“We have indicated publicly several times our commitment to the CCJ. As a matter of fact we took a Cabinet decision in 2005 on the CCJ and we have gone to the Parliament to recognise the court in its original jurisdiction,” the prime minister was quoted as saying.

The CCJ was established in 2001 as the the judicial institution of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). It is based in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
