Dominicans are different from the other islands, agreed, I experienced this travelling, but something that really irritates me is the fact that Dominican people go out of their way to make visitors feel at home, and comfortable,…. i entered an office one morning, i said ; good morning, no answer, a white woman entered, the young lady at the desk, left her desk and walked to the white woman to assist her. . can you believe that? . ring a bell? slave mentality,……….. one day one day cangcaday

Customer service in Dominica??? No No!!! in Dominica the customer is always wrong. Where ever you go you get the cold shoulder….Oh men!!! its a shame. You meet these young ladies in the stores and business places and is as if money is not welcome, like they don’t need you.
Dont talk about when they on the phone… they must finish their entire conversation even if it takes an hour before they deal with you or….the classic, the deal with you while on a personal call (nothing to do with work) or even better, they answer their phone while they serving you. You just name it!!!

Thanks DNO for helping us to expose these people!!! I am sick and fed up. I mean the employers know they have these half breeds ..why they dont put them at the back in the store room where people cannot see them and put people that can work in the front??

I am just tired…..honestly honestly this nonsense has got to stop

The main problem I believe is that the employers here treat their employees soo badly that sometimes it is hard to give good service.some of these employers treat their employees like slave and dogs and reward snitching instead of hard work and then expect the employees to smile and give good customer service.

I sometimes question polls, but this time? No contest!! Hey, we really do have a LONG way to go when it comes to customer service.

By the way, improvement in customer service also calls for facilities that are more customer friendly. Case in point–the passport office in Roseau. Oh man! I don’t want to say any more.

employers need to spend quality time training themselves and their employees. we are a developing country and we need to be ahead of the game. quality service will increase profits.

I have been living in America for the past 4 years, prior to that I was a flight attendant and got to experience customer service in serveral caribbean countries and in America. Let me be frank, Dominica is not the worst… trust me. Try Barbados and Antigua…. and even in America. Being away have cause me to really appreciate Dominica and its minor flaws.

while you’re saying Dominica might not be the worse but this is no reason why we can’t improve

i agree, the island customer service sucks, i live in the us and has been a customer services person for yrs and i know how to give good costomer service, and i also want it given to me, when i go to the islands , not d/c expecially i always look for it and my biggest pive is if i dont get it , it hurts my heart. so in order to have a good business customer service has to be at the top of your list.
