ROSEAU, Dominica, Apr 5, CMC – Dominica’s cricket authorities here are intensifying preparations for the staging of the two One-Day Internationals between West Indies and South Africa later this year.

The two matches carded for the Windsor Park Sports Stadium are set to bowl off on May 27 and 30 and Dominican Cricket Association marketing liaison, Glen Ducreay said he was very pleased with the build-up to the doubleheader.

“At present I must say that we are very happy with how things are shaping up,” Ducreay said.

“It has been a lot of hard work, but we are getting there. It is out intention to put up a world class event, one that we will truly be proud of. We are going all out to make this event even bigger and better than last year.”

He added: “Most of the corporate boxes have already been taken up, so that in itself is a very good sign. It clearly shows that we are marketing the event.”

Tickets are expected to go on sale in mid-April with fans paying EC$30 for ground and EC$50 for stands. For the second game, patrons will pay an additional EC$10 for grounds and stands respectively.

Windsor Park hosted its first ever international cricket match last year when a depleted West Indies clashed with Bangladesh in a doubleheader.

I can’t wait for those matches and I hope we as a nation can attend those matches in very large numbers so we can put DA in a stong position to host other matches in the future .It would also be a great idea if “T” shirts can be printed with the names of the new stands on them so we can all wear the Irving, Billy, Grayson and Laurent etc t shirts to the matches .We must go all out to create a massive atmosphere

Can anyone tell me if and how I can watch these matches live in the USA? I was present for the two international matches last year, but I can’t be there this year, and I am mourning this.I think some people were able to watch the matches via the internet last year. If anyone can provide some information, I would be very grateful and appreciative. DNO, if you have any info, please let me know.
I am so excited to see DOMINICA hosting these matches and I know the authoritites will do everything to maintain the high standards that were evident at last year’s matches. Enjoy the cricket everyone!!!!!!!!

Good job DCA! We love it. Dominicans let us come out in full force to support cricket and hope that we get two victories in DA. We have a beautiful stadium and we must bring it to life for the world to see. Hopefully, this will set the stage for more ODI’s and Tests and even a venue for international friendlys. Go DCA we are with you.

Ohhhh yeaah! Cricket lovely cricket!!! Let’s turn out in massive numbers for these West Indies vs South Africa matches at Windsor Park. It will only benefit us in the long run in getting additional international cricket matches and continued exposure of Dominica on the world stage.
