PSU to discuss salary negotiations at national rally

Public servants at at DPSU solidarity rally in 2017
General Secretary of the Public Service Union (PSU), Thomas Letang has said that the PSU will be holding a national rally on the 11th of April to discuss salary negotiations.
“A massive rally is planned for Thursday, the 11th of April at 4:30. At that rally, we will be inviting not only public officers but… employees or members from other institutions …we will have speeches…entertainment…solidarity messages because it is supposed to be a solidarity rally,” Letang stated.

He said the union believes that the time is right to bring the members together and decide on a way forward with regard to salary negotiations.

“We will decide on a way forward, when we’ll be having another rally as well as what other activity that we will embark on to force a resolution of the matter,” Letang added.

He said it’s been sometime since they have written letters to government and have not gotten any acknowledgement for their submission or received any counter proposal.

So who fighting for the rights of NEP? Is there any trade union to protect us, speak on our behalf? They should change the name to NEO Enslavement Program because that is what the NEP is, a modern take on slavery.

Hope Mr Letang will explain to the crowd that the quantum of pay will depend on the Recurrent Revenue, ie taxes collected. Is the revenue collected or being collected supportive of increase in pay. We have to stop treating salary increase as a right. It has to be related to job performance and revenue performance. Is the service provided by the administration at the top in efficiency ? Do we have first class with dispatch service or are people getting paid for spending less than 7 hours in an office.
Is Mr Letang expected to make a political issue like what occurred on May 29, 1979, with election in mind. Is he going to be a candidate ?

The PSU is not Mr Letangs PSU..Mr Letang is doing the work of the members of the union. In other words the members are the boss, unlike Skerrit who is the boss of the Red Clinic which you visit every Wednesday.Greedy you!

Braindamage…..So you see the scenario with similarity to Charles Savarin playbook. Concerned citizen organization, police and nurses grievances, civil service salaries….Sound familiar. -D-Day was practice to test the waters. Remember the practice with LeBlanc must go which turn to Patrick John must go. So D-Day (was it March 17th 2017 ?) ‘Skerrit must go’ will become April 4th, or April, 19, 2019″ Skerrit must go now”. John had just won an election and was glowing in the post independence day glory. Skerrit just won 4 in a row and is glowing in his post Maria reconstruction success and state of the art hospital, and positioning his party for a 21 seat victory and for a 5th five year term.
Opposition forces are feeling overwhelmed with desperation because when they do their over the horizon political viewing all they see is complete and utter defeat. Poor Fellows trying to copy Charles Savarin playbook. Is Letang looking at the President and thinking “ME TOO, ME NEXT”
