Bahamas signs new deal with Chinese

The government yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with a Chinese construction company to carry out infrastructure work on three Family Islands.

The government will now begin negotiations with the China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. (CHEC) to design and build the North Abaco Port and by-pass road; a bridge between Little and Great Abaco; a port and by-pass highway in Exuma; and the Eleuthera Glass Window Bridge and approaching embankments.

    ONLY DOMINICANS HAVE A PROBLEM WITH CHINA!!!! BAHAMAS DAT IS MUCH MORE DEVELOPED THAN DA..LOOK THEY SIGN A (MOU) WITH THE CHINA..

    ALL COUNTRIES LOOKING FOR DEVELOPMENT AND IF IT’S THE CHINESE THAT CAN HELP THEM, THEN THAT’S WHAT IT IS..Dominicans ON THE OTHER HAND THINKING THAT’S THE WORSE THING PM SKERRIT EVER DID; SIGNING WITH THE CHINESE..

    LET ME HEAR WHAT ALLU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THAT ONE!!!

    AT LEAST WE GET TO SEE THE PAPERS BEING SIGNED IN THE BAHAMAS UNLIKE IN DOMINICA , WHERE THE CHINESE COME AND GO WITHOUT ANY ANNOUNCEMENTS.

      There was a signing ceremony for the MOU for the “four pillar projects.”

      There was also a signing ceremony for the loan agreement for the State College and State House.

        is what i tried saying before. the world is going to china!!! just the way immigrants fled to usa before ….the trend is taking place in china….opportunities in a quickly growing country. open your eyes people!!
