Hunt on for witch doctor in Haiti

HAITI – An investigation is underway after police detained the mother of four young children who were reportedly beaten to death by a sorcerer who claimed he was able to cure them of a mysterious illness.

Haitian authorities are reportedly continuing to pursue leads in a manhunt for the unnamed witch doctor and an associate said to be his brother who are believed to have fled the southern town of Marbial for Port-au-Prince.

This comment carries no weight. How about the countless people who don’t believe in God and their lives are not miserable like the Haitains? You need to study the history of that country to understand why they are in the current condition they are in now. Their condition has nothing what so ever to do with their practice of voodoo!

FOUR CHILDREN WERE BEATEN TO DEATH! Why is everyone caught up in discussing the existence of voodoo? The MOTHER IS ALREADY IN CUSTODY. The “witchdoctors” are KNOWN by name and face, send the dogs out to get them and BRING THEM IN!Respect for the deceased please.

All this superstitious crap is what’s killing black people. You all need to wise and realize there’s no such thing as voodoo. It’s fake! It’s a scam. Those beliefs were developed to scare people and controll them in those black tribes. I mean just look at how nuts you guys are acting. The comments section tells me that black people have a long way to go.

Like many parents who want to see their children overcome sickness and suffering, this Haitian family sort help. However, a lack of true faith, ignorance and terrible judgement led them to the doorsteps of a practitioner of evil. In the tragic end, the witch doctor did make the sickness go away. Unfortunately for the family, the cure was (murder) means they will never see their four children again. Fellow DNO readers, let us take heed of God’s warning and refrain from all evil practices including witchcraft, sorcery, and voodoo. We must learn to trust God in everything and all circumstances.

What look out you talking about, Dominica and Dominicans are already gone

In Guadeloupe the French people keep telling you straight that they are not longer welcoming Haitians in their country, and they will not rent their houses for then also let them plant anything on their property

They tell you straight, whenever they rent their homes to Haitians, when them Haitians move out they cannot rent the house anymore, and nothing they try to plant cannot grow, then Haitians did not want to come to DA, many of them in Guadeloupe will tell you the only reason that they went to DA, is that this was and is the easy way to come Guadeloupe backdoor

If Dominicans have to do their research to see the way them Haitians treated Dominicans in the 60s and 70s in Guadeloupe they will never embrace them Haitians in DA

They were the ones mouthing Dominicans fro the French, saying that the French employing Dominicans and calling Dominicans English, even going as far as offering to work for them Guadeloupe people for less money, I am in Guadeloupe and the older Dominicans there listening to their bad experience with Haitians and the way them Haitians treated them, the Creole they went as far as criticizing the Creole we speak in Dominica, man if only Dominicans at home knew they would drive them all back where they come from

Haitians are not to be trusted, why you think the majority of them in Guadeloupe do not save their money in banks where ever they go, man Dominica and Dominicans “BAT” bat, fini bat with them Haitians

What’s sad is how many people on here no doubt believe the Haitian was *actually* a sorcerer. How long will it take for our people to realize that, hey, these things don’t exist? Your friends can tell you whatever rumors and stories they like. Until you have proof that magic and all this nonsense exists, you’re just making yourself look ignorant and childish by believing in such rubbish.

    • aiai
      August 13, 2012

What is ignorant is for you to think you know so much about everything that you can rule out that these things don’t exist.

        August 13, 2012

I will say it again Manhunt Underway for Alleged Murderer and Voodoo Master in Florida as well

  25. August 11, 2012

Hey they are all over the place, just check AMW

Manhunt Underway for Alleged Murderer and Voodoo Master

On the outside, cops say Jean-Marie Jean-Francois may have seemed like a friendly, church-going family man. But police say nothing could mask his obsession with voodoo, seduction and pain — which cops say eventually spiraled into a deadly mess.

Investigators say Jean-Marie Jean-Francois moved to the United States from Haiti in search of a better life. And at first, he found one. Shortly after making his home in Pompano Beach, Florida he attended a church and settled into a home with his girlfriend and her child.

He frequented a Bible study class and became friendly with a local pastor. But police say Jean-Francois’ dark side quickly surfaced in the Sunshine State and that his good guy act began to unravel.

It turns out that his alleged dark side came from an interest in voodoo. But he didn’t just have an interest in the practice — police say he also had a hand written book of prayers and spells.

Someone said something about some Dominican woman, what we need to realize is that, many Dominicans used to go all the way to Haiti to learn to do their tricks, some of them the second you have a disagreement with them, their first words to you were, ‘They will go to Haiti to fix up your behind” well right now they have them Haitians right at their doorsteps, just take a look at DA right now, they run them in Florida and other parts of the USA

Even before and after the disaster in Haiti many of them were fleeing from the USA to Canada claiming refugee status, and little do people know they carried their same dirty habit in the country, habit at home carries abroad, this is why CIC put the brakes on them, I am not saying what someone told me, I heard a few of them speaking, and their exact words were, they did not come to Canada to play, no matter how innocent they make look they are not to be trusted at all

Witch craft is a global phenomenon. In most parts of the globe, it is practised as a minority religion. By your logic then, we are all, in this world, living in the Dark Ages. Now, even a free thinker as you can recognize the absurdity in this logic.

      • Freethinker
        August 12, 2012

Witchcraft–which is not “voodoo”–is not a religion. There are religions that practice witchcraft, perhaps, like Wicca. But these are distinct. Moreover, as you yourself said, they are minorities. So to claim the world is in the Dark Ages because minorities of idiots across the world believe in idiocy is, well, idiotic, and, worse, illogical.

And the fact of the matter is that parts of the Caribbean are certainly living in a neo-medieval atmosphere. No sensible person could deny that. I never excluded the Caribbean from other third-world areas that are similarly lost in primitive nonsense. So, once again, your logic fails.

        Try again, Mr. Tom.

  38. الجهاد
    August 10, 2012

It is so sad that in this day and age people believe in Voodoo. People are willing to pay money for this nonsense. Worse, some pan-Africanists promote this nonsense in the name of African Tradition and anything spiritual the black man made up its good. This is utter rubbish!

For those who adhere to monotheism why not practice fasting and praying to deal with demonic spirits?

It is very sad as well that Dominica is supposed to be a Christian country yet people believe so strongly in superstition of broken mirrors, sweeping late at nights, Friday the 13th, horoscopes, mediums etc. How laughable some have become as human beings.

    • Freethinker
      August 11, 2012

Believing in monotheism is also believing in superstition. You laugh at those who believe in voodoo, and yet you casually refer to “demonic spirits.” You don’t see the irony? I’m sorry to inform you that, until someone can bring a demon to my lab to be tested or evidence of one’s existence, I see no reason to believe in such things.

      • الجهاد
        August 12, 2012

When you can bring evidence of electro-magneticism to me then we can have an exchange.

Very sad “free thinker” you fail to understand that not everything can be tested in a lab. It is known that effects and symptoms of these things are seen when a person is affected by them. After all physical tests are administered yet strange behaviors continue to be exhibited then we delve into the unseen world with the methodologies of the prophets. Pure and simple.

      • Freethinker
        August 13, 2012

Are you serious, bro? You don’t see evidence of electro-magnetism? LOL. Turn on something electric, for starters, and check out a lightning storm. Light itself is electro-magnetic.

But, yeah–Faraday proved that electric and magnetic fields are linked in the 19th century. Look it up. It’s not my fault if you choose to be scientifically illiterate.

And as for the bit about prophets–come on. There are gaps in our knowledge = prophets are right? Surely you see that equation doesn’t really make sense. Saying that we don’t know the answer to something is just that–we don’t know as yet. That is no justification for accepting ignorance and inserting in a god/prophet as the “scientific” answer.

        Try again, bro.
