OECS chairman wants sub-region to monitor events in Britain

King

Chairman of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), Prime Minister Stephenson King, is calling on members of his nine-nation grouping to closely follow the rioting and social unrest unfolding in Britain, describing the situation as the worst in a generation.

“It is a matter for the nine Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) and CARICOM (Caribbean Community) to pay attention to,” said King, who is also the St. Lucia Prime Minister.

“I have spoken to my High commissioner in London and to a number of St. Lucians, they are very uncomfortable about the ensuing situation, we will continue to monitor it, but we believe that it is one that we should pay attention to.”

I wonder how the UK would react if a foreign government started arming these ‘rebels’?

Perhaps they should. That would wipe the smile of their Moral Policeman face.

What goes around comes around. In Lybia, Egypt an Syria, the US and its cronies are backing rebels and even assisting them in overthrowing governments. They fighting for their rights. Lol. What a joke. What you sow is what you reap.

It has come home to roost now starting in London and when the same thing will continue in the US and other European countries, I want to see how they will respond.

I hope they will say that the rioters are fighting for their rights too and will assist them with more bombs and guns as they are doing with the rebels in the Middle East.

    What hypocrisy!!!

What does Mr King know, these are just a bunch of greedy, get rich quick thugs who think that they should not work for a leaving. even if some of them get a job they think that the money will not be enough to get them the latest brand trainers and clothes out there. Some of these rioters are working people who should know better, but no Mr so and so has a 50in tele so I should get one as well, they don’t hink that Mr so and so has worked hard for what he has got. I know because I live in the UK. The government gives there parents money every month to support them, give them money to stay on at college or six form, give them money when they are out of work, pay for their and their parents rent when they cannot afford it, and they still find it is not enough. They complain that foreigners like me coming and take their work but they want to choose what kind of work to do and when to go to work.

This is the same kind of greediness that some of the young ones in D/ca and the rest of the caribbean want to adopt. Kids over her got it sweet compared to those back home. Some of the unemployed overhere got it sweeter than those of us who work, because they don’t pay taxes or have to pay for anything for that matter, when you have to try and save for how long before you can go on a holiday they can go on one sometimes two a year, they walk around in better and more expensive clothes than you and can still afford a car (not an old one) and you cannot afford that.

yea yea, i got your point about when there are unrest and problems in international countries the oecs and caricom countries suffer, my questions is what are the leaders of the oecs and caricom countries doing to be self sustaining or to minimise the effects of these internation problems?.

THE “OLD” WORLD SEEMS TO COME FROM WORLD LEADERS WHO CREATE A BROTHERHOOD AGAINST THE SAME PEOPLE WHO PUT THEM IN POWER…THE POOR PEOPLE.
THEY CREATE SIMILAR PROGRAMS TO CRAMP THE FREE SPIRIT OF MANKIND..

THEY CREATE THEIR OWN FINANCIAL CRISES AND COMPENSATE ONE ANOTHER WITH THE TAXES OF THE PEOPLE…

THEY MAKE EDUCATION A PRIVILEGE AND NOT A RIGHT. THEY MARGINALISE THE YOUTHS. THEY KNOW THE CONSEQUENCES OF TRIPLING THE COST OF EDUCATION AND TALK ABOUT DEALING WITH THE CRIMINALS THEY CREATE…

THESE ARE SOME OF THE WAYS THE WICKED “NEW” WORLD ORDER IS GIVING THEMSELVES WORK TO DO.
THEY INTIMIDATE AND IMPRISON THE POOR WHILE THEY SIT AROUND THEIR EVIL DRAWING BOARDS DOUBLING UP WITH WHISKY, COFFEE AND LAUGHTER

IN THE MEANTIME, THEIR FRIENDS AND FAMILIES BENIFIT FROM THE SWEAT “SLAVES” HOUSES, PROSTITUTION, DRUG RUNNINGS, YOU NAME IT.

    THANK YOU ADMIN.

Could not have said it better my friend. At the moment they are planning to remove the benefits for those caught looting plus a criminal record. This is only going the further isolate the youth. I am not saying that the people responsible should not be punished, but something must be put in place to correct and reform those youths into good citizens.
More criminals on the street without no work. Is the average working class person they are going to steal from now.People keep your wallet and your houses on lock down. things are going to get rough.

By the way i bet the police is happy now. they are not going to caught their budget ANYMORE. ‘NOW YOU SEE WHO IS THE WINNER’

in Europe there are so many young people unemployed. In Spain, unemployment rate amongst youth is at almost 50%, Greece 38,5%, and many of those who find jibs can hardly live from the low salary due to high living costs.

So what are they doing? They go in the streets and pillage, loot other people’s businesses, rob people. Somehow reminds me of the latest articles about the north east
