With St. Lucians going to the polls today to elect a new government, the police on that island are investigating a threat made against Prime Minister Dr. Kenny Anthony via social media giant Facebook, St. Lucia News Online is reporting.

Senior police officials confirmed to the news outlet on Sunday evening that a female posted something on Facebook which is being considered a ‘serious threat’ to Dr. Anthony.

The individual said in her post that if the Labour party wins the next elections, she will be alive to see a Prime Minister get “sniped” and had the words “yellow power” included in her post, according to St. Lucia News Online.

“So keep taking the cries of the people for a joke, if this should happen I will watch it go boom on TV far away from here, but since this won’t happen, I will stick around to dance with Allen Chastanet and the rest of the party,” the post reads.

St. Lucia News Online also reported that most of the short political campaign season was violent free but threats were made against two popular media personalities, Rick Wayne and Sam “Jook Bois” Flood.

If there is one thing which is not done is to threaten others and especially a dignitary as the St. Lucian PM. It is hatred. This person will be found and will pay the price.

Madura your time has come. U have failed the people and like your comrades or idols before you. You have failed to accept the fact that you have failed so instead you want to hold on to the reigns of power by all means… Face the facts .. Venezuela has plunders and it’s on its knees begging for aid, help support what ever … This is not the matter here
The matter at hand is for u to face the harsh reality that you have failed.. Now what’s your plan b your backup ,plan to get the venezeulan people from the deep missry end of which they have reached..

Imagine a report/story is about the PM of St. Lucia and Dan is de man in de van is responding by cursing Maduro. Thanks for the thumbs down folks. People like him/her are a frightening prospect for Dominica’s future.

Not interested in truth, facts, or even to address the matter which is before their faces, off on a completely different tangent right in everybody’s face. You can imagine if such a person were to get an opportunity to tell a story about someone else when he/she alone had the facts? I’m convinced there are many more like that one and they even dare to curse and insult people who think for themselves, weigh the options analytically and dismiss their methods and approaches!

That’s why you all are so frustrated by so many Dominicans who do not buy your misleading, dishonest, in your face untrue messages! Keep rupturing your blood vessels with rage and frustration. Perhaps the majority of Dominicans are more astute than you all think!

  6. This is not a credible threat it’s just someone posting a very irresponsible statement during the heat of the election campaigns. Let’s not get carried away.

At least you are honest! So many people on this site say the most hateful and outrageous things and then if anyone points it out to them they argue to death that they hate no one they are just talking in the interest of the country.

Of course this is a free country and we have a democratic right to express ourselves, I’m included in this by the way, but what an admission, you even hate people that you do not know. Labour parties exist all the way to London England.

Sir/Madam, there are people all over the world who behave in obnoxious ways, just look at the mighty America and look at who is likely to be their next President. Not at all impossible because, like Dominica and other places bad behaviour is excused and applauded depending on who is doing it and the nastier and more bad-mouthed the better because we have this nonsensical notion that their personality will improve in high office.

Good luck to all who hate! Your reward awaits you, I’m sure.

Well stated! They will not escape. They are digging a deep hole for themselves with hot burning coals.
It is beyond my comprehension that some people could hate others in such a manner, those whom they do not know (personally) and who did not harm them. It takes evil hearts to do that.
They have not learned if they do not support a Party without exercising hatred and toward those who do not support the one they do. It is no compliment for them. They are the pot calling the kettle black.
In their ignorance they think they are smart and doing well. They do not appear to know that they project to the world their hearts are full of hatred. These lack love, peace and unity. Their day is coming.
