OH YES!!! YOU CAN HEAR AN EARTHQUAKE. My father told me when he was a young man he heard and earthquake coming and felt it. Well, to my surprise, I was leaving in St. Croix a little over 15 years ago, when I heard a lound bang from the sea and heard the bang coming towards my home and it sure was an earthquake. I never knew how it was measured on the rector scale but it sure was an earthquake because i felt it and heard it coming.
