St Lucia Home Affairs Minister address concerns with UK visa officials at meeting

Guy Mayers

ST LUCIA NEWS ONLINE: Home Affairs Minister Guy Mayers met with United Kingdom visa officials on Tuesday.

Recently, the British Government gave the St. Lucian Government six months to prove that it is taking steps to address a number of concerns outlined by the British officials, or risk losing the current visa free status into the UK.

A decision to consider imposing visa restrictions on St. Lucia, and Dominica as well is part of the UK’s Visa Waiver Test regime, which began since 2008. This review of Eastern Caribbean countries represents the final stage of the UK’s first global review of visa regimes in relation to the seven countries.

Dominica should impose VISA Restrictions on US and EU Nationals, these countries harbour too many criminals, terorists etc and are the door ways to our islands.

Watch the news, there are mmany related criminals related activities in these countries and we still welcome them to Dominica wirh open arms, they have influenced our young people and brainwashed our older people, we need to take a stand to defend our own. These people should be properly screened when they enter, not because they are US or British.

Our immigration allow these people to come to Dominica and even find employment without having a permit. We can live without them.

USA and EU have all bowed down to the Antichrist and they’re seeking to destroy our alliance with ALBA and humanitarian countries.

In Revelation the usa AND EU are referred to as the GREAT WHORE OF BABYLON and all the nations are drinking from her wine, please do not fall in her trap, she has a hidden aggenda and this is one of them.

Dominica is a Republic and which means that we have a voice, we are not tight to anyone but god alone.

Dominican Govt .should stop economic citizen programme to stop UK visa restriction on Dominican passport. This is good for country as well as for existing pass port holder.

Dominican Govt should attract more foreign investment by way of other means like other country attract .

Other wise its a problem and will be a problem in future.

    Thanks

The UK and USA are too controlling, that is what they using against us, if CARICOM was pulling together, we would not have to depend on them or worry about their stupid visa restrictions.

We are compelled to defy our developments with other countries just TO BENEFIT the UK.

WHAT ARE THEY DOING TO BENEFIT US?

YOU FIND MOST OF THE UNSTABLE PEOPLE IN THE UK
      TERRORISTS
      MONEY LAUNDERERS
      GANG RELATIONS
      PROSTITUTION
UNSTABLE IMMIGRATION POLICIES PROVIDING SHELTER FOR ALL MENTIONED ABOVE

The caribbean should be concerned for our security, we are in the middle of it all.
WE CHOOSE TO GO IN OUR SHELLS FOR THEM, THERE IS NO FUTURE OVER THERE ANYMORE.

DOMINICA AND ST LUCIA ARE BLESSED AND LET NO ONE FEEL THEY BETTER THAN YOU. WE ARE MORE SECURE THAN THEY.

How many Russians,Chinese, Libiyans and others are holders of Dominican passports and are out in the international arena doing bad things? … I am not optismistice that the Brits will not implement a visa regime for Dominica unless we shut down that economic citizen program. Does the country gainfrom the receipts … Maybe Skerrit should look into that in stead of calling bi- elections……

I give much respect to the St Lucian government Minister for sharing with the people what the British were/are concerned about. I mean what is so secretive about that information that the Dominica Government felt that it couldn’t share with the people that put them in office? There was all sorts of comments and blajaying in the media when all these @@@***** could just have come clean with us.Thanks to the St Lucia Minister we have the idea of what’s going on. We all are aware that our passports are already machine readable…GOOD. Now we need to sort out the Birth Certificate part IF THIS ON OUR LIST?!!….THEN WE ADDRESS THE SALE OF PASSPORTS AND CHANGE THE METHOD OR PACKAGE OFFERED…BORDER CONTROL????? WELL SEEING AS HAITIANS AND SPANISH COME AND GO AS THEY PLEASE WITH OUR PASSPORTS AND PROSTITUTION THAT IS ANOTHER MATTER ALTOGETHER….THE DEAL THEY HAVE????? ONLY THOSE WHO MADE IT WITH THEM, THEMSELVES AND GOD KNOWS…..THE NATURAL BORN DOMINICAN CANNOT BE PRIVY TO THAT INFORMATION. AND ALL THE OTHER ISSUES THAT THEY THINK WE ARE TOO STUPID TO UNDERSTAND AND KNOW ABOUT…..WHY I VOTED FOR THESE PEOPLE IS BEYOND ME……SSSHIIISSH!!! WIPING THE EYE BROW

we here are quick to talk.. the St Lucian Pm said “A number of the shortcomings that they felt needed to be worked on have already been, for instance, we no longer issue handwriting passports, we issue machine readable passports which are more secure. Our border control measures are in place, there are more stringent issuing of birth certificates to ensure that fraudulent documents by non- St Lucians who are trying to procure St. Lucian passports”
if i am not mistaken i heard the D/ca PM adressing two of those issues? did you take that into consideration?

Where were you when the PM made his statement a couple weeks ago after a similar meeting with the British right here in DA? Check DNO archives.
