Venezuelan Ambassador condemns US “conspiracy”

Venezuela’s Ambassador to Dominica, Hayden Pirela, has condemned what he described as a permanent attack on his country by the United States of America.

He also denounced a conspiracy against Venezuela which he said is “orchestrated not only by the media of the United States of America but also those of Spain, Colombia and Mexico, among others.”

“Before the international community and to the people of the Commonwealth of Dominica, I would like to condemn the conspiracy faced my beloved country in these moments, organized by the Government of the United States of America and its opposition allies in Venezuela as well as those overseas,” he said in a release on Friday.

According to Pirela, on February 12, 2015 the legitimate Government of President Nicolas Maduro was object of an attempted coup by the Government of the United States of America.

“This failed coup by a small group of the Venezuelan Armed Forces was detected by intelligence agencies of our country. The hope of these individuals was to use planes to overthrow the legitimate President Nicolas Maduro,” he stated. “The Government of Venezuela has succeeded in demonstrating that this was planned by opposition politicians of Venezuela as well as those in conspiracy with the Embassy of the United States of America in Venezuela and despite claims made by President Nicolas Maduro, the Government of the United States of America has only sought to counteract such claims.”

He continued, “It is for this reason that I denounce before the international community, so they can be aware of this plan orchestrated not only by the media of the United States of America but also those of Spain, Colombia and Mexico among others.”

“The Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the Commonwealth of Dominica, which is always prepared to work with the Government of the Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, condemns the acts of all those organizations which promote the instability of not only Venezuela but also of all the countries of the world,” he said.

“We are only moved by the spirit of peace and harmonious development of the nations. We will be alert in regard to the present situation,” Pirela said.

The US has already dismissed claim of involvement in the alleged coup as ‘absurd.’

“Dominica has benefited from Venezuela’s help. The time has come to empathize with this government. If you do not appreciate this, woe to you.” (Madam Facts machine).

You see people who do not understand politics may share your views: what you do not know is that there is nothing free in this world, the dictators of Venezuela are using Skerrit to their benefit. Notice that we have yet to receive anything substantial from Venezuela, or China, which can be utilized in a way that will produce mass-employment in the country.

It is always, just enough to get the country indebted to such communists countries. You are talking about empathy for the government of Venezuela! Lady; just incase you do not know there are poorer people in Venezuela suffering more than the poor Dominicans; though Venezuela appears to be the second wealthiest nation in the Caribbean, Trinidad is the wealthiest in my opinion.

America has re-established diplomatic ties with Cuba. It is difficult to understand why it would pick a fight with Venezuela. It is already over extending itself with more military irons in the fire than it can handle.

Venezuela has chosen the communist path. Unable to learn from other nations where the Marxist philosophy has brought them to the brink of ruin they are facing empty shelves and shortages. The dictator of any nation would get paranoid at a time like this and lash out at the nearest perceived threat.

The USA is not well liked abroad. It seems Venezuela want to cast America in an even worse light and pick up support from smaller nations that will identify with it.

What Venezuela needs is a revival of righteousness birthed by the gospel of Jesus Christ: the kind of revival that saved England from a revolution like that suffered by France when multiplied thousands of men and women turned from their sins and received Christ!

    Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill…

Dear Mr. Ambassador. That is typical of a regime that is under threat at home to try and find a “common enemy” to galvanize the people and divert attention away fro the real problems facing the country. That is just buying time and when the masses finally turn on those, who fooled them the outcome will be terrible but no doubt Maduro will flee the country to a safe haven when that happens with enough money to last him a life time. You, of course will lose your job!

What Skerrit needs to do is support our fellow Caricom/West Indian citizens of Guyana in their struggle against the bullying Venezuelan government that is trying to steal Guyana’s territory just like they stole Dominican territory, Bird Island. Venezuela is criminally claiming two-thirds of Guyana’s territory, while trying to deny Guyana’s right to explore for oil in Guyana’s own territorial waters. Why isn’t Skerrit talking about that?? Can someone please explain that to me?

As the finances of Venezuela continue to deteriorate under the collapse of crude oil prices, the government of President Nicolas Maduro is becoming more paranoid and vindictive. State-owned PDVSA has struggled to keep production up. Rather than using its earnings to develop more fields, much of its earnings have been diverted for political and social projects. Chavez also purged PDVSA of thousands of experienced workers, leaving the company short of well-trained staff. But hear Pirela, America too blame. 8)
Inflation is running at an annual rate of 68 percent. Shortages of food and medical supplies are common. Shoppers at grocery stores need to submit finger prints to ensure they are not purchasing more than their allotted amount of basic goods
America too blame,

We have heard that song before. Whenever those alleged communist Governments do not adhere to the people’s wishes, and the people reacts, they always try to blame the United States. President Obama has so much on his plate to deal with, especially with Isis, do these guys really believe he has the time for that cocoonee. The same thing happens in Dominica, whenever things go wrong, who Skeritt blames, Hon. Lennox Linton and UWP Team Dominica.

This is nothing but propaganda for those of us who have no idea what is actually going on. My people please do your research and don’t be fooled by these guys. I know we’re benefiting from their so called generosity in various ways but the lives of people are more important than economic and infrastructural development. Let us not be selfish and think only of ourselves and accept what ever they throw at us as justification because we want to believe that they’re right – because them being wrong means we might lose what we stand to gain.

We are dominicans, we are intelligent and reasonable but most of all we are honest. Let’s not fall into this web of corruption that is destroying that country and causing the death of many and making life difficult for millions.

It never ceases to amaze me how some on the wrong side of history in Venezuela and can drum up bogus arguments to maintain the status quo in a country that seems to be at odds with the international community itself.
The current Venezuela regime is affront to the dignity of every human being in the hemisphere and should not be allowed to stand.
Beatings, unlawful imprisonment of the opposition, widespread corruption, and economic decline tell a tale of a rogue regime whose only interest is to remain in office at all costs.
What is happening in Venezuela today is not just the business of Venezuela but should be of grave concern to freedom loving peoples throughout the hemisphere and beyond.
This is why lovers of political and economic freedom everywhere should be rooting for a regime change in Venezuela, for failing to do so would ensure the virus will spread beyond its borders.
If a coup of some sort is the only way to accomplish this objective, so be it.
    Long live freedom and…

Venezuela has absolutely nothing to fear as Dominica will defend it with its mighty army!

It is curious that only Dominica is specifically mentioned in the ambassador’s spiel and not other Caribbean countries. I wonder why!

Pirela, your sentiments, and condemnation of some attack by the United States of America on Venezuela is from the thoughts of a fool! Dictatorship usually fail, your country maintains a similar system no different to communism. In the heyday of communism in the Soviet Union, the shelves of stores were 99% empty at all time. There was always a shortage of something. It is a shame that your people cannot get a simply sanitary commodity as toilet paper in your country, so rather than try to resolve the problem, in communist fashion you prefer to entertain a lie by shifting the blame.

I am Dominican born, living in the U. S. for more than thirty years, I have never seen any television, or any media focused on Venezuela, except for the time when the dead man Chavze offered free heating oil to people on the East coast during an unusual winter season. You are only lying to yourself, an those people who are as gullible as you!

I am not surprised to read this. That so-called superpower is always interfering in the affairs of other countries, not necessarily to assist them.
Little do some of us know what is actually occurring in their offices and of their plans behind closed doors. God knows! One day He will deal with them accordingly.
What we in the world must do is to pray for all governments (of the world) and all nationals, wherever they (we) may reside and to pray for world peace; no exception in D/ca.
God bless your (our) efforts and participation in striving to create harmony and peace in our homeland and elsewhere in the world.

    He is our peace
Who has broken down every (dividing) wall.
Caste all your cares on Him for He cares for you. . .

This Friday morning, for some unknown reason, I began humming the tune of this religious song, another favorite. Now I am quoting from it with no previous thought that I would. God really inspires and sends messages from on high. He is so good!

Madam Facts Machine: people like you have a lot to say about this same supper power, you ridicule and make erroneous comments against the United States, yet after you all accept your free ticket to Dominica to go and vote a dead government into power which is unable to provide employment for the people, the day after election you people take off back to this great supper power nation, where the majority lives off welfare.

How come you all hate America so much, yet you depend on America for your survival. Had it not been for this supper power nation, the barrel industry that about half of Dominica exist upon they might stave to death. And since you are so much Labor: I want you to tell your Prime Minister Skerrit he need to pay the rent for the use of my father’s property, which they use as office to bribe people to vote for Athenia. They need to remove the red paint on the front of the house. No permission was given to cousin Athenia to paint the placed red!

You have it all wrong. You accuse all D/cans abroad of getting a free ticket to D/ca. Just whom are you referring to? If I wish to visit D/ca it will be with my own ticket. Therefore, you owe many of us an apology for generalizing that all of us accepted a free ticket.
Prior to commenting, be sure your warped brain is engaged before putting your fingers in gear.
We do not hate the US. We are only stating the truth. We hear and read of what is occurring in the US.
I have a right to support whichever Party I so wish. No one is in a position to dictate to me which Party to support. For one thing, I do not support any radical party that loves to create disunity and division.
Telemaque, you need to change your attitude and words on this Website. In future when you read my comments keep the PM and his Party out of it. Stick to the issue. Too many of you love to deviate from the subject. Your comments make no sense.

    February 27, 2015

With all due respect to His Excellency Pirella, this is more about your country’s struggle to right itself and less about the United States. More than seven million Venezuelans voted for the opposition in the last election. And, after much political shenanigans Mr Maduro announced that he had won by about 1 percent of the vote. His wife promptly became Assembly Speaker. Considering the greatest good for the majority of the people at at times, a coup may well be justified. And probably Comrade Chavez had that same philosophy when he attempted the coup against the late President Andres Perez Indirectly your being in Dominica now may be traced to President Perez, when under his rule, Venezuela became the first country to establish a Mission in Dominica.

And what exactly do you mean by saying your embassy is “always prepared to work with the Government of PM Skerrit.? Would you be unprepared to work with the gov’t of Dominica with another PM?
