“Then Agrippa said unto Paul, almost thou persuadeth me to be a Christian.” – Acts 26:28

Don’t be “almost persuaded” any longer. Don’t put it off until tomorrow. Tomorrow is a fool’s day. “…now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2b).

Don’t allow the devil to deceive you any longer; don’t think you have lots of time to accept Jesus Christ. None of us know what the next second holds. John 10:10 says, ”The thief cometh not but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy; I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

Family might have given up on you. Friends might have given up on you. You might have given up on you. But Jesus has not given up on you. Come to Jesus today. Give your life to Him. Repent of your sins and accept Jesus into your life and see Him turn your life around. Don’t try to fix your life and then come. Don’t try to get married and then come. Don’t try to relocate and then come. Don’t try to get a new house and then come. Come just as you are and allow Jesus Christ to bring about the changes that you need in your life.

The signs of the times are everywhere. We’re living in perilous times. Our only true hope is in God. As I listen to the news about the increasing cases of SARS and all that’s going on in Iraq, it just helps me to realize that the coming of the Lord is nigh. No, we don’t know the day nor the hour but we know the season. Matthew 24:6-8 says, “And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”

Today, if you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, I encourage you to accept Him into your life today.

Christians, this is not the hour to be almost persuaded about your salvation. We all must know that we know that we know that we are born-again and washed in the blood of the Lamb. The truth is, you’re either on the Lord’s side or you’re on the devil’s. There is no in between. The letter to the Laodicean church states, “ I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth” (Revelation 3:15-16). This is not the hour to draw away from God; this is the hour to draw nigh to God. This is not the hour to be thinking about going back into the world. This is the hour to get into the Word. This does not have to be the hour of deception for you. This can be the hour of revelation.

Backsliders, God is calling you today to return to your first love, no matter what you’ve done. No matter how far you may have wandered, God is saying today, “Come home.” Return to the Lord today. “Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion” (Jeremiah 3:14). Repent and confess to the Lord. He won’t turn His ear from you. “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us” (Psalm 103:12). “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9, 10).

If you would like to accept Jesus Christ into your heart today say the following prayer:

Dear God,
In the name of Jesus Christ, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and that I need a Saviour. Forgive me of all my sins and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Your Word says in Romans 10:9 and 10 that if I confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in my heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, I shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. I now confess Jesus Christ as Lord of my life. In Jesus’ name, amen.
