“Rebuilding Dominica Together” will be foremost on the minds of congregants when DASUS – the Dominica Association of Seventh-day Adventists in the U.S. – holds its Annual Dominica Day Church Service on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Mount Vernon Seventh-day Adventist Church, 230 South Columbus Avenue, Mount Vernon, New York.
Dominica Day, a day-long church service, held to commemorate the 37th Anniversary of Dominica’s Independence, will begin at 9:15 a.m. with a culturally-themed Sabbath School.
Divine Worship, the main service, is set for 11:00 a.m. A fellowship luncheon will follow the service, and the Advent Youth Program begins at 3:30 p.m. The Consul General of Dominica, Dominica’s Ambassador to the United States of America, and Dominica’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations have been invited to bring Independence Day greetings.
Dominican born, Pastor Samuel Telemaque, Director of Sabbath School, Adventist Mission, and Special Needs Ministry for the Inter-American Division of Seventh-day Adventists (IAD), will deliver the sermon at Divine Worship. Pastor Telemaque is an internationally-recognized speaker who has distinguished himself as a prayer envoy and passionate missiologist. Before his appointment at the IAD, he served the Caribbean Union Conference (CUC) in a number of leadership roles. Pastor Telemaque is expected to deliver a message of hope, comfort, and instruction as Dominicans reflect on rebuilding in the aftermath of the August 27th Tropical Storm Erika disaster.
During the service, Pastor Josian Frampton, a native of Dominica and founder of He Leadeth Me Ministries, will lead a prayer of supplication and thanksgiving for the country. Church and community clergy leaders have been invited to join the prayer. A special offering will be collected for the relief effort. Dominica Day will also feature special musical renditions, a mission emphasis on Dominica, a cultural children’s story and hearty congregational singing. DASUS invites all Dominicans from across the United States of America (USA) to come together to worship. Dominicans are asked to wear their traditional dress.
“DASUS is pleased to present, what will be, the best Dominica Day ever. We look forward to a wonderful day of spiritual reflection, cultural celebration, and Christian fellowship,” said DASUS President Beryl R. Williams. “We invite all Dominicans and members of our church family to join us for this celebration of faith, heritage, and home!”

Well, unless you are joking, you cannot disagree that there quite a few very smart ones among us.
I take you back to the one called Rev. Ruben Telemaque, brother of the old Fire Chief, Arnold Telemaque, and uncle of Samuel a Methodist Minister former School Teacher who taught me briefly in Wesley, also has a Ph. D he earned that way back when there were not a single one in Dominica.
That is the tip of the ice burg there are some of us not Dominican by birth to learn about them could be frightening. Check out Vesey Denmark Telemaque, his history is taught in certain universities in the United States.
I thought I missed something; when I read you last so, I came back again: who ever you are, you are just funny! Anyway Wesley Snipes is a name, and is not remotely related to us!
We do not buy company, however we love our family, and education runs in our blood. Although we are gifted to a point, anybody endeavors to educate themselves can accomplish the same. Some people do not learn at the same pace, but if one try hard enough, the sky’s could be the limit.
Been there done that!
And mind do not make jokes about smart people are crazy, because Albert Einstein after King Solomon is known to be the smarts man who live to date, he however did not know how to lace his shoe. His best friend was a little girl. An believe it or not most people who are exceptionally smart, or just a little smart like me do have some crazy blood in them oui!

Frank Talker-ing is from Vc with a sad history with 3 Phds after a life of…………………… how it motivated itself to return to school and get 3 Phds is truly amazing
Great preacher
Pastor Samuel Telemacque PhD, from the heart of Wesley is a man of God who I have the greatest respect for. How he motivated himself to go back to school, and earn himself three degrees is a story which school children should be taught. “Shakey” James PhD from Layou or St. Joe also has a very inspiring story of his journey as a teacher at the DGS to a Pastor, Attorney-at-Law and tax expert in the Houston Texas field. Congrats to them both.
I find it strange and impossible to believe that this guy is from Wesley, and I have never seen or heard of him in all my life of existence!
Samuel; if you are reading this, I would appreciate it if you would give me a call: my numbers are 323-730-8530; 951-743-4748, or 323-731-7436. I simply wish to get acquainted. In the event the 730-8530 is busy; it is always. 951, or the 323-731 is always available
You can also E-mail me via [email protected]
Okay Samuel; I’ve got you pegged!
I know who you are, thanks to Joyce, for a moment there I was puzzled, the reason for the no memory syndrome is that I left while you were growing up, I have less than ten years over you, but I’m certain now the puzzle is solved!
