Dominicans are not being moved by any of the talks that today is Judgment Jay.
“Tomorrow will usher in the beginning of Judgment Day,” Harold Camping, Christian radio broadcaster and founder of Family Radio, based in Oakland, California, has been predicting.
Camping believes that a massive worldwide earthquake will strike, leading to five months of death and destruction, which will culminate on October 21, when the Earth will cease to exist.
There is no deficiency in talks about this prophecy in Dominican homes, on the streets and in the churches, especially in the wake of a week of separate accidents that killed two people on the island.
Dominica News Online took the Roseau streets Friday afternoon and asked people’s opinion on the matter and people were unimpressed by the prediction.
“In my opinion judgment day can be tomorrow, it would be a coincident that some people predicted it to be tomorrow. The Bible says that Christ will come like a thief in the night so why months before everybody know that?” said Lincoln Edward on Independent Street.
“Am not anxious am not worried; I know there is a judgment day for me. Judgment day can be any day for any human being” said Bishop Alice Jacobs of the People of Excellence Ministries.
Catholic Priest Father Herman Sharplis added his word to the matter. “We should focus on the commandments that Jesus left us; love God, love others. Life is ours to enjoy and you cannot enjoy life if we try to predict the end. Some people just cause confusion with their interpretations,” Sharplis said.

It’s judgement day and I am still here. I woke up this morning to my surprise because I had been left out of the chosen few who left overnight in the rapture.
