Students of the Sineku Primary School got a donation of school supplies courtesy of United Insurance Co. Ltd. through its agent C. A. M. Dupigny Inc.

The items, which included exercise books, erasers, pencils, sharpeners and rulers, were handed over to the students on Wednesday.

“The days of illiteracy should be long gone, but in order to eliminate it completely, we should all ensure that our students and young persons are given the necessary tools and an opportunity to further their studies as their future depends on their level of education,” the company said in a press release. “The school items which have been donated, though not colossal, are significant and essential tools in the process of learning and will assist the young students in furtherance of their education.”

United Insurance Co. Ltd. says it believes in investing in the youth and their education, “as education is a powerful tool for change, not only of oneself, but also of their family and their country.”
