High court judge Bernie Stephenson has adjourned the sentencing of Shane Degallerie to Friday July 19, 2013.

On June 13, 2013 he was found guilty by a nine member mixed jury of the 2010 murder of Justin Joseph of Fond Cole.

Degallerie is represented by the firm of Dyer & Dyer.

Justice Stephenson had set sentencing for July 8, 2013 and had also requested a “social inquiry report.”

However, due to the passage of Tropical Storm Chantal the sentencing was adjourned to July 19.

As long as this is the only reason, due to the tropical storm. This man’s case was postponed several times. What are they up to? I wonder if his lawyer and himself are playing for time? He murdered someone who was not given any chance to live. May he be sentenced soon and be given what he deserves. It will end! Patience Dominicans including the victim’s family.
