Special blessing of students at Fatima for the new school year

Fatimah church at Newtown

Hundreds of students , parents and teachers from the communities of Newtown, Loubiere, Bellevue Chopin and Giraudel/ Eggleston and the neighbouring parishes will gather at the Fatima Church in Newtown for a special blessing to begin the new school year.

That’s when the Fatima Parish holds its Annual Back to School Blessing.

This activity is meant to bring all students, parents and teachers together to call on God’s guidance on the students as they begin the new school year and to pray for God’s help in dealing with daily challenges at school.

This special blessing is also in recognition of the power of prayer to success in all our life endeavours.
In addition to coming together for prayer, students, parents and teachers will have an opportunity to participate fully in the Eucharist. There will also be special blessing of school items.

The Annual Back to School Blessing is also part of the Family Care Programme of the Fatima Parish and seeks to bring family members together in prayer as a means of strengthening family relations.

The Annual Back to School Blessing takes place on Thursday 6th September at 5.00pm at the Fatima Church in Newtown.

I went to the Mass. it was amazing! And here are the 3 key messages they sent us home with: 1) Do not judge a carrot by the size of its leaves; 2) ALways think before you make a choise; 3) Share your knowledge and wisdom with others. This will enrich you. :-D

All in all, God is the first on the list, we could not go it any other way. I embrace that kind of spiritual approach on behalf of my people.

May parents, children, and organizers, of this service, continue to maintain the knowledge that God wants to be first on the list–all through the issues of the the day, for without His authority and strength nothing can be done with possitive achievement.

Giraudel/Egleston Community, I am part of you, be sure that I am always in intercession of your behalf. May the school of September to June be a great year for all of you, my students–as you allow God Almighty of Love in Spirit, to be with you always, by your faith–His promise to us through His Person of Love, the Man who is Jesus Christ.

Way to go my people! And by the way Thursday, September 06, is my birthday. Therefore say one for me. I am Liz Xavier, from Joanna and Bernard in Giraudel.

Good move I hope other denominations of all God loving people, recognized that with out prayer or the belief that there is a higher power of authority we can never prosper, therefor we need prayer today more than ever or else we going down slowly.
