The Sports Division will commence its Annual Secondary Schools Volleyball Championships (male and female) on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at three venues.
At the Dominica Grammar School, the girls of the Dominica Grammar School will play against the girls of Wesley High School at 2:00 pm and at 3:00 pm the boys of the Dominica Grammar School will play against the Castle Bruce Secondary School
At Weirs, Marigot, the Portsmouth Secondary School and the North East Comprehensive will have a double header when their boys and girls play against each other.
At Grand Bay, the boys and girls of the Pierre Charles Secondary School will compete against the Isaiah Thomas Secondary School.
Seven female teams will participate in this year’s competition. They are the DSC, DGS, ITSS, PSS, NECS, PCSS and the WHS. Seven male teams will also participate in this year’s championship: DSC, DGS, ITSS, PSS, NECS, PCSS and CBSS.
The defending champion of the male category is Dominica State College and the defending champion of the female category is the Portsmouth Secondary School.
