Bath Estate defeats Pointe Michel in LIME Premier League

Scotia Bank Bath Estate remains undefeated after trouncing Sam Martin Pointe Michel 5-1 at Poree in Pointe Michel in the LIME Premier League of the Dominica Football Association (DFA).

Despite the pressure from Pointe Michel, Bath Estate was able to get the lead through the ever reliable Hugo Riley but moments later, Pointe Michel equalized through a Bert Casimir header.

Bath Estate ended the first half with a 2-1 advantage after Kurlson Benjamin found the back of the net and did not look back in the second half.

The Scotia Bank team was able to get goals from Hugo Riley, Moziah Challenger and Mitchel Joseph to seal victory and send the Pointe Michel lads back to the drawing board.

This means that Bath Estate remains the only unbeaten team in the premier division to date after South East went down 1-0 last week to Kensbro.

In another premier division game played at Geneva in Grand Bay over the weekend, defending champions Harlem, continued to struggle, going down to South East 2-3

Earson Fontaine scored two goals inside two minutes (37th & 39th) to give his team the equalizer and end the first half even with Harlem.

When the second half resumed, Harlem allowed South East to dominate and failed to control the match. It came as no surprise when Juslin Prince broke loose and scored to give South East that all important lead.

Harlem did get a golden opportunity in the dying moments of the game through Errol Blaize who had a one on one with the South East goal keeper but to his team’s dismay, Blaize threw away that chance allowing South East to win the game.

Having won two major championships this year. It seems that HARLEM has gone into CHAMPIONSHIP FATIQUE…

Fans are not satisfied and it seems that some of the players are not satisfied with the present managent and training staff and as a result, since the Creole Cup have stopped training. There is talk about an AGM which has not been called for nearly 10 years now. ( I WANT DNO TO INVESTIGATE THAT MATTER ) Well take a little investigative walk through NEWTOWN and you will hear more about this matter in this Football Hungry Area!!!!!
I wish Harlem well! Do hope that they improve in the second round and play as trye defending champs but they need the incentives from management etc.

It is plain to see that the top teams in the premiere division all have their own field. To my surprise the team with no field to train is in the premiere division fighting it out. Kudos to KENSBRO UNITED for showing their strength even without a training ground. Remember the days when Roseau had three premiere division teams Kensbor, Blue Stars, and Dame central. Now there is only one team left and they are struggling to practice as a team due to no facilities.Breaking down of the windsor park has caused a lot of damage to roseau and its people. Can the government please give the Roseau people a place to go and recreate. Good job KENSBRO.

Are you saying that in the whole of the south east area they dont have a field to train on?

You are very right. breaking down of the winsor park destroyed the roseau based teams. They have no field to train and if they go to the gardens they want to call police for them. Winsor Park was the main football, netball, basketball and volley ball grounds where each association was able to collect gate receipts for ppl to come and look at games. Right now a cricket stadium sits there and none of the other sports were catered for. We need to the stadium to be available to DFA as much as it is available to the cricket association. All nonsense can play in the stadium and for football to play there is a problem. Let all premiere league games play in the stadium and then you will see how the fans will return
