Bath Estate wins DFA premier division

DFA PRO Gerald George hands trophy to Bath Estate captain Kurlson Benjamin

Scotia Bank Bath Estate on the weekend has emerged as the champions in the 2012/2013 Premier Division of the Dominica Football Association (DFA).

Last week the team needed just a draw to be crowned champs in their game against well-placed them Portsmouth but failed to win that game after a last, second half goal from Eskim Williams of Portsmouth piloted his team to a 1-0 win over Bath Estate.

On Sunday at Geneva in Grand Bay, Bath Estate, with a superior goal difference against closest rival Dublanc, needed a win or a draw to be crowned champions and got that goal in the 15th minute through striker Kurlson Benjamin.

Benjamin had not played last week’s game against Portsmouth and on Sunday showed his prowess as he latched on a defensive error to give his team that lead in the first half.

Portsmouth got lots of chances, many of them hitting the wood work but at the end of the final whistle, it was the Bath Estate who prevailed to win 1-0 and the title.

In other games KFC Harlem lost to Same Martin Pointe Michel 1-0.

It now means that Kensbro and Wacky Rollers are the bottom placed teams fighting to avoid relegation.

That’s how the presentation ceremony is held? And why is the DFA man wearing blue and not professionally dressed? Conflict of interest? Anyway congrats Bath EstateFC. I hope your club is registered in Dominica, and pays it dues as a business/sports entity. It’s time we do things serious in Dominica. Since I know this country sports in the same sport like Ghetto Prince sang. Let’s change that!

It was very bad on DFa part because no representative from the sponsor lime was there or anything. The game finished an Gerald George just came and said 2 lines and handed over a trophy to bath estate. That was of very poor taste is u ask me. Estate was the better team whole season and the trophy is well deserved. Gerald was not dressed in blue to support Bath Estate so dont get it twisted. These guys are not fans of Bath Estate

DNO correct that info. Bombers from Portsmouth beat Bath Estate. Bath Estate beat Dublanc ok.
Bath Estate won at the expense of Dublanc not Possi. Possi all the way.

Your attempt to write in “Dominican slang” was not cool and in fact down right awful.
