Beleaguered Jamaican, Dave Cameron, has defeated challenger Joel Garner, to be re-elected president of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB).

Cameron beat the former Barbadian player 8 votes to 4 at the WICB AGM which was held on Saturday.

Emmanuel Nanthan, who was also seeking re-election, was returned to office with an 8-4 margin over Trinidadian, Baldath Mahabir.

Leading up to the WICB election, Cameron was intensely criticized over the abandoned tour of India by the West Indies which resulted in the India cricket board of control threatening the WICB with legal action for more than $40 million in damages.

He was also forced to apologize after being criticized for retweeting a message from a fan asking for West Indies batsman Chris Gail, to be pensioned off for poor performance.

Cameron first replaced Julian Hunte as president of the West Indies Cricket Board in 2012.

can’t think of anything to comment so I’m just going to post a Blueberry pancake recipe.

    1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 tablespoon baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1 1/4 teaspoons white sugar
    1 egg
    1 cup milk
    1/2 tablespoon butter, melted
1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries, thawed

    1. In a large bowl, sift together flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda and sugar. In a small bowl, beat together egg and milk. Stir milk and egg into flour mixture. Mix in the butter and fold in the blueberries. Set aside for 1 hour.A

    2. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve. EnJoy

Y’all think these guys who run West Indies cricket care one hoot about the game? Think again.

Years ago I had a discussion with Gregory Shillingford while he was the CEO of WICB. It did not take me 5 minutes to realize these guys are there solely to provide employment and perks for themselves. They did not have a clue about sound business practices, nor did they care to even attempt to do what was right for W.I cricket. Sadly it is even worse today than it was back then. To top if off, these same set of jokers are re-elected to another term.

These guys are making us look like a bunch of fools.

( The piece below was my take then on de guy who scored the large sum of runs: February 25, 2015 )
The continuing senselessness and individualism practiced by another West Indian individualist cricketer that continues to baffle the buffoons called the WICBC. When will we celebrate a West Indies team for what it has accomplished, and not another individual achievement. Do we have another Bryan Lara that is going to again undermine the integrity of the rest of what is left of what was once the glory of West Indies Cricket: Please look at “Fire in Babylon” if one really wants to understand what we were made of a long time ago?
We should remove West and add India if we are ever to see serious cricket in this region. They should learn how to select players from disciplined and learned leaders in the cricket field

I hate biased people who think they are so intelligent. If you had read the article, you would have noted that it gave praise to the whole team and not just to Chris Gale! You people are so pathetic with your silly and nonsensical comments. Get a life yuo fool!

The same politics that has and continues to destroyed Dominica is the same politics that has and continues to destroy west Indies cricket. You see, though the facts are there to prove Skerrit and the dlp have done a terrible job in leading DA; yet, we just had an election and Dominicans voted them again. Same is true with the election of Cameron and Mano. It’s all politics and like Dominica no one cares about the best interest of the people first. Cameron and Mano have the wore record and resume I have ever seen in the history of cricket. Under them we saw the disappearance of Sawan, Powel, Ottis Gibson and almost Chanderpaul. We remained in 8th spot both in Test and ODI ranking. Under their leadership windies is in danger of not making it to the quarter finals; our players boycotted the Indian tour for which we are sued by the BCCI for $42.7 million dollars, and Cameron was personally criticized by the BCCI. All these and more. Yet they were reelected instead of Garner.

Unfortunately we know from our own experience last Dec. that elections can be bought. The DLP even boasting that it could outspend the opposition. Don’t think such scenarios do not take place in professional sports.

Cameron and his team should have resigned following the withdrawal of the WI team from the Indian tour. They did not resign and an opportunity presented itself for them to be kicked out instead they were re-elected. WICBC with Cameron and Nathan at the helm has caused this institution to be liable to pay the BCCI millions of $US as a result of their incompetence.. West Indies cricket is stagnant and going nowhere, yet Jamaica, Guyana, the Winwards and Leewards thinks things are just fine.

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL…..only in the Caribbean are boards rewarded with another full term to continue the good time, the meetings, the hotel stays, the big lunches and breakfasts, the parties, the travelling…

All this while WI cricket is at the lowest it has ever been…..My God………

    March 8, 2015

The pull out of the India tour by WI players was a fiasco. The report out of the Committee set up by the WICB Board itself, to investigate into that bizarre matter, blamed the players, WIPA, as well as the WICB for bringing WI cricket into disrepute. Bravo and Pollard were punished and not picked for the ODI World Cup as a result.

But no action will be taken against the WICB Management for not providing the Players with their contract before leaving for India. That sparked the problem. Pure incompetence. Even when the problem was brewing up in India, the Board failed to prevent the escalation and avert that embarasment. No wonder WI cricket stick in neutral gear.

The more intriguing question is: What qualification(s) does “Manoe” [as he is more colloquially known] have to make him such a viable candidate for these positions even to be one of the chief advisors to the Prime Minister of that emerging economy called Dominica,,,

You know what: Mista maybe know what really happen to Rosie you know, and that’s his trump card,,,

Hey Doh blame the messenger nuh cause somebody muss say something at some point in time!!!
