Carib Territory wins first National Rounders League title

Carib Territory United defeated Marinor LA Stars on Sunday to become the first National Rounders League champions organized by the South East Sports Committee in collaboration with the Sports Division.

Batting first, Marinor LA Stars scored 259 all out; Suzette Laudat 66, Yvette Cuffy 40 and Joy Matthew 30 were their scorers.

Carib Territory replied with 260 for 7 with three balls to spare; Victoria Burton 89 not out, Rosemund Burton 40 and Ashley Frederick 26.

In a press statement, the organizers thanked “the media for regular updating of the results over the past four months”.

“ We believe that the league was a success with 28 teams participating with over 500 registered players. We look forward to the evaluation, prize giving and 2011 season,” the statement further said.

That is what la plaine get. Out of Laplaine they know they ain’t capable of beating anybody. Just leave them in Laplaine and see how the cheat u out of a game and then boast about how strong they are. What happened Left hand boundary was too far?????? boxes were drawn???? i want to know….because they say cheaters never prosper , well it’s the truth and whenever you play unfairly it will always come back to bite u. Now is all u turn to complain about what was and wasn’t fair to cause all u to loose.
I am happy that the supposed underdog turned out to be the victors.
U laplaine get to wait like every other team that u have cheated!!!!

FYI Stupid.. That was the only game they lost out of all the matches they played. And yes they are strong.. dtas the first time they evr got beaten they went all the way to kalinago territory to play and won. So whet u talking about. I’m a proud supporter of the Marinor LA Stars and I always will be. Because you won once doesn’t make you an alltime champion. Thats what they are.. We’ve won enough so there’s no pro sharing it with your kind. FOOL!!! You say we cheat but who knows what they did???? Uhhhh???

Rounders is one of the few sports where fat, unfit women in tight clothes dominate.

this sport requires running,,,the only reason they dominate is cuz dem meglings too fresh to get dere nails dirty n there hair wet,,,otherwise fat girls would not dominate,,,,oh n one more ting,,,dem fat girls hitting the ball hard,,,so dem meglings fraid a confrontation so they keep away

I can see you level of education from your comment. You are one sorry person. Are fat women not people? Can unfit women not get fit? Are you a moron?

I am very happy to see that Dominican women can promote their sport. It is one unique sport that I think should be promoted overseas. I think it is more appropriate than encouraging women to play cricket and football.

@ all my support i will have you know that i am 5 ft 6 152 lbs. All of me and love rounders. How dare you speak that way about women who inspite of their size go out to participate in something worthwhile. U ought to be ashamed of yourself and i dare say we don’t want or need your support.
Next time u see a rounders match stop and count how many “fat” women there really are.
      I hope u ain’t “fat” urself.
