In a keenly contested match packed with defense, the Dominica senior men’s volleyball national team on Wednesday defeated St. Kitts and Nevis 3 sets to 2 in the first leg of the 2014 FIVB World cup Qualifiers.
Dominica took a convincing 25-13 first set lead but dropped the next two 19-25 and 20-25.
The team dug deep and with a few changes by the coaching staff bounced back to take the fourth 25-20.
The fifth set saw Dominica take an early 6-2 lead before going in a slump and found themselves trailing 8-7 at the change. Neither teams were willing to give in to the other, trading points to the end.
Dominica eventually emerged victorious with a 17-15 win.
Meanwhile on Thursday Dominica made light work of Montserrat in their second game of the NORCECA World Cup Qualifiers in the British Virgin Island with an impressive 3-0 victory.
Dominica took an early 7-1 lead in the first and never looked back from there taking a 25-7 win.
There was little resistance from Montserrat and Dominica took advantage by winning the second set 25-4 and the third 25-14.
Dominica plays host BVI at 11 am Friday.
congrats Kairan George i know how devoted you are to your games….. great job fallas keep up the good work….
well done team! you are doing a great job.
yes Marigot guys. big up to Presley. From you NECS teachers
I love the outfit. Nothing wrong with it. Those fellas with the brown docksides looking a little more fly but they all look nice. Hair cut and scene. I seeing one with his locks nice and tidy. A refreshing site from jake hooligan son and the rest of them thugs usually shown on DNO.
Aye is that Jeffrey Edmond…? Mister should have a statue in DA after him. Harlem bombers!!!!!
Just seen the guys coming back through Antigua airport
Huge trophy !!!!!
Congrats lincoln
congrats guys. im hearing good things. at least one sport in dominica is going somewhere. keep up the good wrk n keep reminding others out there what dominicans can do. best of luck to u guys.
All I wish to say is Congratulations guys. I have no quarrel with your outfit or how you dress. In fact, I do not think you all look bad at all. Yes, there is always room for improvement and better uniformity but that is external. What really matters is your devotion, commitment and pride in self and country. Do yourselves and your country proud. You know what? I rather have a winning team dressed in gabs than a well dressed losing team like the West Indies of late.
Good luck guys. Bring home the championship and as Charlie Sheen would say all that matters is Winninggggggggg!
GOOD TO GO TEAM COMIN ALL THE WAY FROM LAPWET . BIGGIN UP DAVID AND ZETTO

CONGRATS!
Wow, well done guys!!! You guys are using experience mixed with talent and going places!!!! Really well done, congrats!!! Is the Albert hiding behind one of the guys and to the right of Jeffrey? Keep it up guys!! Come home with cups and medals!!!
Good vibes, but trust me the outfit as national volleyball players, could have been much better. However, one is to well aware of the pressure you guys encounter when it comes to assistance and so forth! Imagine making Dominica proud and there is hardly a budget for sport development for example Volleyball! Could someone ask the minister of Sport about a modern sport complex for the country especially one for the City! One can recall, the facilities at the old windsor park- which was below par but better than nothing. In this modern age, there is not one decent out door or indoor sporting complex in Dominica> How can there be development, when there is a lack of facilities and equipment for sport in Dominica? No wonder there is so much pressure and frustration in the place because the guys have no place to go and release their frustration and pressure. Please Please, provide the sportsmen and women with what they need in order to go forward: Uniforms- brand name ones, good sneakers, gears, and whatever they need, not forgetting a good and decent stipend! Once again, congrates and be honest with those in Power, Roseau needs a goood multi purpose sporting facility- Oh yes! they love this cliche: State of the Art! Make it State of the Art!
according to steve harvey ; “IGNANT A DOUBLE S”
That is such an ugly shirt.
