Dominica gets ready for U-15 Cricket Tournament

Twenty-five students from schools around Dominica have been selected to begin training for the 2014 U-15 Cricket Tournament.

The tournament is expected to take place in St. Lucia from April 22 – May 1.

Dominica presently holds the U-15 title after the island’s team defeated St Vincent & the Grenadines by one-wicket in April last year.

The team was lead by Leic Charles.

    I will be taking keen interest in the progress of these young boys. Kentish and the other officers seems to be doing a very good job. continue with the work but may I encourage the sports officers to pay more interest in developing the kids with their batting skill. please encourage them to be more patient and apply themselves better because we lack that skill in the west indies. All the best young lads.

    Good luck young lads, Go for the title. Never know in your mist there may be a little Lara or a Michael Holding, ect, You all are our future ambassadors take advantage of the opportunity.

    This reminds me of the good old days of cricket trials at the Botanical gardens.

    I would like to wish all the young cricketers the very best of luck especially the ones from the Grand Bay School. Make me proud
