Dennison Belle and Royston Rogard from Lagoon Domino Team are the first ever champions of the Angostura White Oak Domino competition, sponsored by Fine Food Inc.

The boys from Portsmouth defeated Lambert Pacquette and Royston Angol from the Dolphins Domino Team in the finals by three (3) sets to nil. Scores: 6-4, 6-2, 6-0.

On their way to the finals they defeated Oliver Yankey and Nelson Boston from the Public Enemies Domino team by three (3) to two (2) in the semi-finals. Scores: 6-5, 6-3, 4-6, 2-6, 6-2.

Pacquette and Angol defeated Augustus Parker and Jeff Defoe from the Beat dem All Domino Team by three (3) sets to one (1) in semi-final. Scores: 6-4, 2-6, 6-5, 6-4.

Belle and Rogard will travel to St. Vincent on the 17th September to represent Dominica against St. Kitts and St. Vincent for EC$10,000.

In the closing ceremony Marketing Manager of Fine Food Inc. Juliet Martin congratulated the pairs and said that the company will continue play a major part in domino in Dominica. Vitra Deonarine, the representative of Angostura White Oak Rum from Trinidad, said that the competition was success and the pairs competition will be an annual event.
